Good to be able to have a whiff of fresh air after all.I wasn’t banished though from the old place. Just felt that it had become way beneath my contempt. The insensitivity of many of the contributors had become just too much to bear. We have different perspectives about our existence in the so-called Nigeria as has been glaringly profiled by this most recent outrage of Mr. Obasanjo. Many Nigerians actually have been lied to or have as in the case of Obasanjo lied to themselves long enough as to believe that the pogrom of 1966 actually was not the root cause of the war.
Petroleum has destroyed the so-called Nigeria so it is also quite convenient to blame it for the war. It however wasn’t: just happened to be within the Biafran territory.
My take on Mr. Obasanjo remains unchanged: he is sniveling cowardly genocidal bastard. He knows no better, has no real gifts, accomplishments nor skills to fall back on. He is so pathetic that he has even managed to do the impossible in the military tradition that he is supposed to have been raised in: suck up to a pervert junior officer. How much lower can a man sink? As I have said, he knows no better and continues to rack up dubious distinctions in doing the impossible. Take for instance getting a second chance at governance and managing to in spite of the resources at his beck and call preside over the sinking of the Nigerian ship. In all of 2 years, the fellow is yet to come up with one out of a myriad of issues (education, health, social infrastructure etc.) to address, not solve, mark you!
And before you accuse me of hating, save your breath. I couldn’t hate such a pathetic figure. I know better.
