Yep, I'd rather Awusa take you. They deserve you and you reason more like them. You are no Igbo, at all. That's the problem the true Igbos have with the likes of Ike Nwachukwu, et al. As a half Awusa, how can you genuinely fight on the Igbo side to extricate them from the Awusa stranglehold? You'll be a deadly sabo, if let in on confidential Biafra's agenda for survival. We don't take kindly to saboteurs. Stop this fantasy of being an Igbo.

MASSOB Brother You are right some educated Igbo cowards like OJo Maduekwe are using education as an excuse for their cowardice. Chief Ralph Uwazuruike is a trained lawyer and licensed by Nigeria to practice law, Chief Ralph could have choose to practice law and live in luxury instead of been harassed every day by Obasanjo, or even get a job from #1 Igbo hater Obasanjo. Even Obasanjo tried to bribe chief Ralph to abandone MASSOB Chief Ralph told him that MASSOB movement is bigger than Obasanjo and himself. So also this so called moderate Igbos are just a recent invention by job seekers. Dr M.I Okpara was more Educated than Ojo Maduekwe can ever dream of yet DR M.I Okpara was as conservative Igbo to core. Dr Ibiam was more Educated than any of these fools parading today among the socalled moderate Igbos yet Ibiam was as conservative Igbo as they come. Ojo maduekwe can't even measure up to the shoes on the feet of Dr Okpara or Ibiams feet much less to talk about speaking for Igbos.

Nzeogwu was an Ibo. He had a plan. A National plan. But the Igbo did not see him as an Igbo. Maybe he is not from the community. So the assholes stabbed him in the back. The Igbo messed up his plans. He still came to fight with the Igbo in the civil war. He fought because he never wanted to be an idle soldier. Ojukwu fought the war. He did with his father's money and Igbo's personnel. Today, some fools call him the "Ogboso One".
I am not suprised with regards to the manner with which this thread had dis- envelopped itself.
I am in the midst of the know-it-all. The know-it-all most often think that they know better than the rest. Most often they are wrong. What they forget is- No one is an Island.
The Igbo in Rivers are are sceptical to come into the fold. The Onitsha Igbos?? U tell me. The Cross River( sorry, I don't know these states very well)Igbo are sceptical.
The delta Igbo are sceptical.
Any wonder that the center cannot hold? You tell me.
And what will the Igbo call them? Sabo.
What a group. No wonder the saying " Igbo ama eze" Its time they start knowing that their must be a leader. And that leader can come from anywhere. Be it Rivers or somewhere else.

Sam, what derogatory term to use in describing yourself. Which half of you is Hausa and which is Igbo?. Top half?, bottom half?, Left half?, Right Half?, or are you implying that you are of both Hausa and Igbo heritage?. On the issue of losing you to the Hausa, you are what you call yourself. It is a well known fact that people like you ,of dual parentage, tend to be more comfortable in the Nigerian Entity. Does that make you blind to the suffering of other Igbos?, are you happy playing the Local Champion?. If you are you should remenber this when you sre reminded that you are not a full blooded Hausa as Ike Nwachukwu has been told several times.

Sam, The issue of who is and is not Igbo if you checked your facts, you would have found started after the war. It was the psychology of a defeated people. These groups often had to be more anti Igbo than your Awusa uncles. Are you really sure you are Igbo? , if you are you will realise that The onitsha people call people from the hinterland Nwa Onye Igbo You were right about Nzeogwu and his National agenda, but he was not betrayed by Igbos. Their plan was to hand over power to Awolowo but do the yorubas admit this? NO.
Yes Ikemba was called Ogbaoso When he returned from exile. That was because majority of Igbos felt either wrongly or rightly that he should not have joined NPN. In Igbo culture we do not hero worship. leadership is confered, on the condition that one carries out the Majority wishes. You are advocating that we should now have Ezes!. I am yet to see any evidence of understanding of the Igbo culture in any of your write ups. How much Igbo did You say you were ?.Posts: 585 | From: London. | Registered: Mar 2001

Was the statement Best president Nigeria Neverhad a compliment?. The Erudite Ikemba, by making that statement eexpressed what most Igbos have always believed. that is that the best thing that happened to Nigeria was that Awo was never president. He joined NPN so what?, No big deal it is just that people expected him at that Stage to be non partisan and assume the elderly statesman role which he has soon assumed. In any republican society (Igbos are one lest you did not know) the leaders owe it to the people to be accountable to the masses. Our Culture does not yet accomodate hero worship. As for 'cussing' If you are refering to my statements, I had earlier written that you are what you call your self. You used what I termed a derogatory phrase to refer to youself, you showed such lack of understanding of the Igbo culture , to make me ask whether you were Igbo , where was the harm in that?. If however it did cause offence, it was not as intended, just observation made by this contributor.

BTW we both agree that the Igbos should speak in one voice, but speaking in one voice by Igbos involves consultation, and debates as you have withnessed on this board during which the Majority view is carried. I must add that we have been very timid in the past in making people who go against the majority view suffer sanctions, this is changing .

As I know this will sound strange coming from me. But I think that there are some sound sense and issue in the points sam is making. Sometimes our Igbo Republicanism have robbed us the wrong way. Yes I was one of the people that supported Ojukwu for joining NPN. So many Igbos didn't understand why Ojukwu joined NPN, NPN was the party in power and the party that gave him pardon. Why should Ojukwu join NPP with Zik who abandoned us during the war. Many people who were with Ojukwu during the war were in NPN, Many hard core Igbos never forgave Zik for his abandonement of Igbos during the war.
Yes some of the issues Sam is raising should not be brushed off like that, we have to debate them, Yes Igbo Ama eze that is true and we are not going to start now. I disagree with Sam on that. However I will have to agree with Sam on how to bring Igbos togather whether they are in Delta, Rivers Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, or anywhere for that matter. As far as I am concern there are more conservative Igbos in River State and Delta state than there are the likes of Ojo Maduekwe who are a disgrace to the Igbos, Ojo Maduekwe is from the socalled heartland yet he is the biggest sellout of them all. There are probably many Ojo Maduekwe in Igbo heartland today than in Delta State. Now our job is to find out how to consolidate and bring this our brothers and sisters in those place into our forum and make them feel comfortable on what we are trying to accomplish.
If an Igbo from River State shares our philosophy and articulate how to achieve Igbo self determination and actualizing Biafra we should welcome him and work with him. However where I also disagree with sam is on his senario of half Igbo half hausa, We have tried that before Brother sam and it bite us on the as--. Ike Nwachukwu have a divided loyalty for that it will be difficult for us to take all half Igbo half something else. Nothing against you personally Sam, is just we have learned a hard lesson on that,. So now is either you are Igbo or you are not, this half and half thing I don't get it personally.

Biafra, I was one of the people who was against the IKEMBA joining NPN. With the benefit of hindsight, his reason was very sound. He took the Igbos out of Nigeria and he was attempting to reintegrate into Nigeria. The aim was noble but he did not succeed. Fundamental to the Igbo culture is that any leader had to carry out the wishes of his people. Their wish then would have been not to join any of the parties at least until he confered with his constituency. It was because our leaders are at the same time our servants, that made it so difficult for the British to subjugate the Igbos during the colonial era. They did not have an Emir or Oba to subjugate to be able to colonise the Igbos, whence they created warrant chiefs. We cannot now decide to have 'permanent'leaders . What if we get an Ojo Maduekwe or Ukpabi Asika?. thet gives me the jitters. On the Issue Of Igbos in other states, I am not aware of Igbos discriminating on who is real or not real.Until recently it has been the Igbos of those states who seemed to denounce their 'Igboness'. We have always been very thrilled to get people from the Former East Central State admiting to be Igbos. The head of the Ahiajoku Organising commitee (Promotes the celebration of Igbo culture)is prof Emenyeonu from Delta states. As I have always believed 'What you call yourself is what others call you. On thread started by Seun on the relation ship between the Igbos and Minorities, my view has always been that we should involve not just the Igbos but the non Igbos in our fight. I went as far as saying that our Destiny is tied with theirs. Sam wrote that we are not a defeated people, I dont know what else to call a people who were forced into a Union against their wish and are beeing treated like second class Citizens, and are expected to be grateful.

Uncle Sam. First, I would like to warmly welcome you to this all-accomodating board. The name of the board speaks for itself. Biafra-Nigeria is a befitting name for a board that allows one Nigeria advocates like you to air their views and people like me who are obviously non one-Nigeria beleivers to also have their say. What I cannot understand is this tendency by people like you who hold a contrary view from people like me to assume that when you use insults that by that you can convert people to your one Nigeria position. I must tell you that the rank of those who buy your one Nigeria message is dwindling as they see what "one Nigeria" actually means in reality. Nevertheless, this does not stop you and your fellow one Nigerianers to come here and tell why people should beleive in your one Nigeria concept, but resorting to insults and black-mail has not proved to be helpful nor useful to your cause. You talked of having a fuitful debate, but how could anyone debate wih someone like you who thinks every Nigerian MUST think the same otherwise they must be "raving" and "ranting"? The purpose of having a debate is for everyone to say what and why they hold a certain viewpoint but I still do not understand why some of you at the Nigeriaworld join this board if you already know that folks here are "educated illiterates" and "ravers". Infact those of you who see this board as rival instead of competitors to the Nigerianworld board are the ranting educated illiterates. I am sure Peter Odili, the owner of the Nigeriaworld board will be ashamed of some of you who use being member of his wonderful board to cover your anti-Igbo, anti-Biafra and anti-change predisposition. The fact that the Nigeriaworld board copied some futures and tecknics of this board shows that unlike you guys, Odili sees BiafraNigeriaworld message board as partners in progress and not as enemies as some of you would want the world to beleive. It is high time some of you from the other board start making and selling your viewpoints and stop this childish game. It is becoming not only kidish but also stupid. If anyone is amused, I am not. I look forward to hearing something useful to either Nigeria, Biafra Republic, Oduduwa Republic, Arewa Republic, etc. -- Every of those advocates are very much welcomed on this board...That is why it is called Biafra-Nigeria-World. You are welcomed.

Thanks for the welcome, however, those opinions you are associating with my writings are your fabrication. Maybe, that was why your use of "you" is plural.

Uncle Sam: Why are you allowing the incorrect perception that you are half-Igbo to persist? You know you do not have any Igbo or even Hausa blood in you. You are a Southerner/Midwesterner, and you are neither Igbo nor Hausa, not even fractionally. Why don't you cut it out?
By the way, it does not matter to me if you are Hausa, Yoruba, or anything else. You are still welcome to join the debate. But, if you are not Igbo, why pretend that you are?
All this mixed race children are causing us pain...Uncle Sam could be a product of Hausa/Igbo. No apologies if I offended anyone just facts--Waypoint1biafra
Sam's reply- posted April 12, 2001 10:41 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I am half Igbo and half Hausa, would you rather that the hausa take me? You no get political sense. MUMU
Odester learn to read between the lines. By the way, I was thinking that you are a gabonese passport carrying biafran? If are not that Odester, my apologies.
Be rest assured, that my writings hardly adopt a tribal setting. Tribe this, tribe that is what is tearing africa way apart.
As long as we continue force people to live togather without giving them the opportunity to make decisions that affects their lives. Tribal this and tribal that as you put it will continue to tie Africa apart. That is the reality my brother, if we live in a perfect world we will not have tribal this or that, unfortunately we are not.
I was gone for only three weeks and this board have had 900 post. wow I guess I have missed alot. the registered members have quadryple since the last time I was here, I will be back later folks I just got back.

There is no such thing as half this tribe half that tribe on issues concerning Biafra and by extention Ndigbo.
You are either Igbo or you are not wether it is 100% blood or 5% the choice is yours. Those who are having this problem are those who want to eat their cake and have it. Some so called full blooded Igbo's are not worth the Igbo names they answer and just because somebody has Hausa or Yoruba connection does not been we should compromise our collective futur to accomodate such persons who are not sure where their loyalty lies.
When people like Ike Nwachukwu went to war against their own people they made a consciuos choice, they should live with it. If Nigerians wish to reward him with the presidency, that's his blood money for sabotage and we don't jealous him for that. What those of us who do not have the opportunity to choose when to be Igbo and when not to be Igbo are saying here is, he not our choice period.
I respect your opinion and of course your sense of sensibility towards this matter. Yes, I made this comment about half and half and that this race mixing is causing the Igbos pain in the neck and we would like to keep it pure.
Yes, I stand by the statement and I believe factually in it strictly on religious grounds. However; I will still prefer an Igbo woman. Any problem with that?
Inter tribal marriage, as recommended by Vice President Atiku is away of siphoning the Igbo culture into catastrophic religious belief. We in the East do not have problem with religion.Inter tribal marriage especially the Hausa, will cause us great harm than good. We and moslem Hausas do not have anything in common.
And in addition, if anybody who so deems himself an Igbo and is against us, with proper investtigation is likely to have a tainted blood and therefore is not Igbo. That is my considered opinion.
Hail Biafra

What a quote!
Waypoint1, try relating this quote to the OSU cast system and tell me more about pure blood please.
Those that are decrying injustices of a system should not manufacture other injustices just to prove a point.
