Biafran Denied Post of Commissioner for Failure to Recite the Nigerian national anthem

Professor Ojiaku, a nominee for the post of Commissioner in Imo State was dropped because he could not recite the Nigerian national anthem and the Nigerian national pledge. I think this is a travesty. It should instead be an abomination for any Biafrans or Igbos to recite the silly Nigerian national pledge or their national anthem.

Why is this symbol of Biafran entrapment in BiafraNigeria being enforced against a Biafran in Igboland? Vanguard

Biafrans have no obligation or business reciting a phony Nigerian anthem.
However, what I see here is speaker Chukwukadibia carrying out some person(s)' self serving agenda against Professor Ojiaku and camouflaging it as failure to recite Nigerian anthem. One thing is certain here. Mr Chukwukadibia is NOT a proMASSOB representative. He shouldn't be allowed to represent Biafran children...money bag or no money bag.
People, what local govt area is this guy representing?

The most disheartening thing is that all these House of Assembly reps have not done any positive or tangible thing for the people of Imo state. The state roads are an eyesore, we have infrastructures that have not been attended to since Mbakwe was the governor. Violent armed robberies are rampant. Its like a stone age State. It seem like any form of decent gorvernance is non-existent. These so called representatives only take delight in doing "you chop I chop" and "dog eat dog" exercises.

As for Mr Ojiaku, are we sure that he's proBiafra Actualization? Same goes for Governor Achike Udenwa.
The Biafrans have made the mistake in voting this current crop of crooked selfish politicians into office. Come 2003, we'll reverse it.

Well-said. It is really disheartening to see what's been going on in Imo State. First, the governor Achike Udenwa should be blamed for being another Obasanjo apologist. Like you pointed out, what would one say he (Udenwa) has accomplished since his inauguration almost two years ago? Practically, nothing. Rather he would be found chasing shadows. He is an idiot.

Secondly, the love of money and greed is one of many reasons effecting leadership in our homeland remains far-fetched.

that was one of the most stupid reasons i have ever heard.the nigerians have changed the anthem a couple of times they have looted the treasury for years and turned us into a 4th world nation.No one asked the man if he can do the job right how many of the illitrate ministers and members of the government can say the national anthem and do they mean it when they say it.For how long do we have to put up with these clowns.Mind you these are Igbo's sucking up as usual.

The sad aspect of all the nonsense going on in Igboland today is lack of leadership. Too, the irony is, the so-called leaders seem not to be seeing the mess they created.

I may sound like a hailraiser but on this one the Nigerian National anthem does not contain an act of bravery and no Biafran should recite the damn song.

I swear that I have never recited the Nigerian anthem since after the civil war and frankly do not give a damn about the bastadized anthem. On every fouth of July, I fly the American flag side with the Biafran.

You damn right the Biafran National anthem supercedes the yellow belly Nigerian anthem.

Biafran anthem is a symbol for all Biafrans. Millions died for it.

The professor's believe is no doubt a kind of Biafran Patroitism which is no sin to make mockery of the NIGERIAN ANTHEM. I prefer hell to that goddamned anthem and so is the distinguished professor.

Biafran anthem represents an ideal. The unfurling of our Rising Sun evokes in the Nigerian Beast sentiments of backwardness whose idealolgy remains a fool at 40.

Our colorful bars, red black green means lots of mega bits to the Biafrans. The Rising Sun call forth the best bravery in Africa and puntuates our unyeilding patriot to build a nation based on freedom. What more can you ask for?

The professor is a true Biafran,son of a gun, son of the Rising SUN and should not recite the Nigerian anthem, that is compounded with weakness and divisiveness.
I say next time burn the flag.

Hail Biafra

Umunnaa,
Can somebody furnish the complete/entire national anthem of Biafra including the Biafran pledge?
On one of our Biafra sites (Biafraland.com), a brother was kind enough to publish the Ahiara Declaration.

Our next political Reps certainly need to memorize them.

Kunle,

When I came here many many many years ago, I swore that I will never travel again with a nigerian passport. It is a shame to bring that thing out anywhere else outside nigeria. Thank god for God's own country, I don't have to carry that piece of trash around any more when I travel.

The employer has every right to define the qualifications for a given position, and if reciting the National Anthem is one of it, so is it. The last time I checked, Imo state is still part of Nigeria.

Bababoyz who want to sing that stupid Nigeria national anthem. Imo State may be temporarily part of Nigeria but in democratic society one can refuse to sing the national anthem or pledge as a protest or if such anthem goes against their Believes. I can say that Nigeria national anthem is against my believes would you throw me in jail for that?.

No, but you can be denied a priviledge like our dear Professor was denied the commissionership.He failed to meet the standard set by his potential employer and he was not hired. It is as simple as ABC.

Maybe you can tell us what labour laws you are quoting and when they were enacted by the Imo government? Who pays the piper here are the people of Imo state and the tune they are calling for does not include your crappy Nigerian antenm.The only people who have not smelt the coffee are blind folks like you that do not know when to get off a sinking ship.

Chiboy,

You have every right to think am blind to the sinking state of Nigeria, but being blind does not mean brainless. Nigeria is sinking because some people are trying to stabilize the sinking ship, while some are trying all possible best to destabilize it for their own personal aggrandizement.

There is nothing wrong with Nigeria as a country, it is our so called leaders that are the bane of our numerous problems

Biafra is a dream, Nigeria is a reality.

Where does one even start, you have been trying to patch a sinking ship for the past 41 years with some of the most valued resource in modern times at your disposal and all you have to show is a scrappy hunk of metal that can't even limp out of port.What a shame.

Who are those trying to repair Nigeria? Your hero Mr. Biggie Belle abi? A pot bellied moron with the sense of a six year old who has been given the opportunity twice to patch this your rudderless ship and still has no clue how to get the job done.Go fix your contraption of a country when you turn it into Switzerland don't let us back in.

Bababoyz is not just blind he is also clueless if he think that Nigeria is a reality. How can a sinking ship be a reality. Brother what is a reality is Biafra nation, Oduduwa Nation and Arewa nations. Nigeria was never a reality from day one and it is not going to start now that she is about sink deeper and drawn completely.

My people,
Bababoyz knows very well why he wants his Nigeria ship to keep coming in as is.
The Yoruba intelligentsia control the beaurocratic top positions on the oil sector/industry of Biafra. They also are in charge of international bidding and awarding of oil contracts. To top it all off, they are solely responsible for the EXTERNAL auditng of Nigeria's TREASURY.

They also have an understanding with the North that they will always work together to stiffle the Biafra regions while they siphon off their oil wealth among themselves.
Another understanding is that leadership, money, and solidarity support are bestowed to moslem Yorubas, only. Check out Abiloa, Saraki, etc. Its evident how the North threw Obasanjo's ass in prison, got him out at will, and shoved him to the fore as a camouflage for their continued domination and rip-off of Biafra.

Folks, a lot has gone on and is going on in that contraption called Nigeria.
The most dangerously forked tongue enemy of the Biafra regions are the Yoruba leaders (worst than the Northerners).
Bababoyz knows that if the Biafrans go, his meal ticket is over and he has to finally make a hard and genuine living.

Sister Amanda

Your Knowledge and wisdom should be cloned my sister. That is why Nigeria prefers the likes of Ojo Maduekwe to the likes of Orji Kalu. The Likes of Ojo Maduekwe "Bu Okwu na izu ma gi ihe agbara na izu"that is why Obasanjo,Yorubas and Hausa/fulani always like to appoint them as ministers.

You wonderful Biafrans,
The enforcement of the Nigerian anthem and pledge is one of those feeble kicks of a dying old dog. It is amusingly ineffective.
As we speak, the Biafran Police, Courts, etc., are in active duty and in full session, operating at above maximum capacity. Biafrans now take their cases and grievances to them. These officials are all clothed in Biafran uniforms. They dispense reprieve and justice tempered with brotherly care and kindness. We are our brothers' keepers.

Those who delight in burying their heads in the sand will wake up one of these days to find out na chi Biafra agbala ri. As for ndiro Biafra, o g'eme ha na mberede!

Let ask that stupid Imo state speaker to sing this real national anthem see whether he will get it right.

Land of the rising sun, we love and cherish,

Beloved homeland of our brave heroes;

We must defend our lives or we shall perish,

We shall protect our hearts from all our foes;

But if the price is death for all we hold dear,

Then let us die without a shred of fear.

Hail to Biafra, consecrated nation,

Oh fatherland, this be our solemn pledge:

Defending thee shall be a dedication,

Spilling our blood we’ll count a privilege;

The waving standard which emboldens the free

Shall always be our flag of liberty.

We shall emerge triumphant from this ordeal,

And through the crucible unscathed we’ll pass;

When we are poised the wounds of battle to heal,

We shall remember those who died in mass;

Then shall our trumpets peal the glorious song

Of victory we scored o’er might and wrong.

Oh God, protect us from the hidden pitfall,

Guide all our movements lest we go astray;

Give us the strength to heed the humanist call:

‘To give and not to count the cost" each day;

Bless those who rule to serve with resoluteness,

To make this clime a land of righteousness

Umu Biafra ndewo nu oh!!!

Bros Onwuatuegwu,

Imela, It's good to have people like you around. I'll try and get our lovely Biafran anthem framed for my home and office. Aremu & co can get lost with their useless cacophony of a song.

The words 'Nigerian National' is a misnomer, never mind the anthem.

The boy Udenwa and co should be careful they don't massage aremu's bloated ego. It just doesnt work....hang on when you think of it you'll see Aremu has no respect for this guy for it was Udenwa he shouted at when he went to Imo state with these words: " if you say you're maginalized, show me where you've not been catered for!" this bootlickers will do themselves more harm than good. Aremu needs to be told off every couple of seconds, since yabis is the only language the rascal understands. Yeye man!
