When I saw the article linked below, I was so captivated and deeply impressed by the truth, sincerity and Logic of Father Nnorom's analysis of the anomaly of the failed Nigerian state that I could not help but share it with you. Please feel free to comment on it.
I can't thank you enough for providing this link. It is only a fool that will think the present arrangement is working or workable.
Our brother has hit the bull's eye and history and posterity may well remember him in the same breathe as the Desmond Tutus of this world.
I have an unfinished article on my desk where I'm making a case for the revival/establishment of a vibrant Biafran Christian movement(BCM). My reasoning is that the christian heritage which our grand parents embraced and which accounted for some of the giant strides we've made as a people could be the real way forward for our people.
It grieves my heart when I see some of our so called elders running after Ogboni, the abomination of the Yoruba nation. At the peak of our spiritual harlotry, some of our kins in search of contracts started attaching alhaji to their names! How disgusting!
And the Biafran christians? Well some of us have adopted the ostrich approach gullibly pleading to "God" for Naija to remain one without knowing the motivation of some of the chief conveners of these meetings. I know the brother who co-ordinates the eastern zone of Gowon's "Nigeria prays" from my days with IFES. I wonder wether he prayed before accepting the position offered by the Arewa chieftain, the smiling assasin, who was privy to the murder of his superior Aguiyi Ironsi.
God will help us. I feel the time is ripe for us Biafran Christians to be more pro active in the affairs of our people. The Nnoroms and the Chukwumas(testified at Oputa on Asaba massacre) have blazed the trail and we must all follow or drown. The white man that brought Christianity was also involved in building of Schools and teaching of hygiene and also helped to abolish practices occasioned by ignorance eg. killing of twins etc. William Wilberforce was a Christian, and he did not see the compatibility of Christianity with slave trading and he did something about it.
Ndigbo let's pray and work!
Cheers Ukaoha, cheers Nnorom!

Bature, Rev, Nnorum has given you Nigerians who refused to face the truth, the actual sorry state of things in your Nigeria, the true picture that Nigeria is not a country and can never be a country. Maybe, maybe the LORD in his mercy will open the eyes of those of you who stand for one Nigeria, to know that it is time for us to go our seperate ways. This will be the best thing that happened to the southwest, the north, and Biafra. Please read the Rev's article again and take a deep breath, you will know the truth about the hell called nigeria and the truth will set you FREE.

That was an excellent inspirational article by Reverend Nnorom. He who has ears let him hear. The partition of Nigeria nation states is at its eleventh hour. Every discerning human being believe that that anomaly called nigeria must be done away with. Thankfully, the wheels of change are turning.

Legend has it that Mark Twain once said: "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure."
Reading your post, my first thought, was to ask you contact your english teacher, to ask for a refund of your english lectures, but then I realised you seem to me to be a man of letters, therefore, I am dissapointed that you deliberately tried to play ignorant or is it over-confidence, when you asked what the gist is in Reverand Nnorom’s ‘Masterpiece’ ?
Quote: ‘All in all, what is the reverend up to?’
The piece was well written, that even a toad, can grasp the gist of the matter.
Down playing Rev. Nnorom’s write-up, will not and can never salvage nigeria. I understand, your President regards it a feat, that he is still able to keep Nigeria one’. Is it really?
Please, read the write-up again, and this time be erudite. It will not cost you your honour, but will in fact, win you some respect; if you (Bature) too can sing along with us, the Rev. that have all come to the same conclusion.
So Paddyman, don’t mind Mark Twain, neither ignorance nor confidence, can bring you success as you try to cling to the illusion, that Nigeria can be salvaged.

Bro Ejiofor, Thanks to that piece of wisdom that you freely doled out to our Bature. God knows he surely needs it in order to navigate his mind out of that plague infested water called Nigeria.
How's the going in Denmark? How is Spring weather treating you over there? I hope the beautiful aquatic and mountaneous landscape of Dansk is being agreeable to you. I'm thinking of visiting Denmark at the end of the year. I'll appreciate it if you inform me about the practical basics I should know or expect from Denmark. Thanks.

Fellow Biafrans Please forgive Bature Obu onye awusa. Asi onye awusa otoro gba kwe nne ya ya si ahu na anya ekwe. Nigeria bu aturu na eji echeta npi nmgbe ewu soro ya npi.
Swell, just remember, chances are that we might have the snow already (I said might), at the end of the year. On the other hand, like they say here, it is not the weather, but your dressing, that keeps you from going out. Mountainous landscape hey! I am surprised though, your ‘Dansk’.
The tropical sunshine, I mentioned the other day, is gone on AWOL. Again, like they say, as inconsistent as the weather in Europe (Denmark). Otherwise, all is fine by us.
I started with swell, Adora; I sure will be there 4U. I will only recommend you make your arrival close to a weekend, as it will be easy for yours truly, and the family to oblige to having a quest (read: an August visitor). If you play squash, don’t forget to have your shorts and sneakers along. I will provide you with my spare racket.
Did I just say it would be fun to see you in Denmark? Just ask, about all ‘the practical basics’, you want, I have opened my Arial already.

Bro Nkem Ejiofor, Thanks for your help tips and welcome invitation. I'm feeling the warm welcome of Denmark, already. Surely, I'm looking forward to seeing you and your family and the fun such get together can bring.
I'm afraid I don't play squash. However, I'm always eager and quick to learn. Just reserve your spare racket for me and be prepared to crack your ribs while laughing at me take a shot at squash.
What's the weather like, during Oct/Nov? I have not been able to shed my warm tropical skin and as such, I'm not the greatest winter outdoorzy person. Inspite of that, I won't be detered from a trip to Tivoli, which I have appreciated on video.
How far is Aars from Copenhagen? The Danes are known for their world class pastries, especially Danish cheese cake. Do they still do justice to that culinary reputation?
I hope your non sunny day was good. Enjoy your evening.

Brother Nkem: Is it true in Denmark musicians don't play for money but for love? If so, it must be 20-1 on the ladies side.

Aars is in Jutland (Jylland) in Danish. It is at least 5½ hours by train from Copenhagen (ca 400 km). Is it something Academic or ‘Love Adure’ taking you there? Copenhagen is on the Island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Danish.
The weather in Oct/November, is not all that bad. We are in the gray period between the Autumn and the Winter. The winter, (I think) officially is from December 1. Unfortunately, Tivoli closes in September. Aars, is close to a town called Aalborg, and they also have a Tivoli, a smaller model. I don’t know when they close. They also have a University Centre (AUC) in Aalborg.
On the pastries, you know like they say, the best part is reserved for export in most countries. Don’t you worry, you’d find something that might live up to the Danish culinary reputation.
I have taken the liberty to write down my email : ejiofor@get2net.dk
Stay blessed - Adaora.
PS: For a ‘nwanwne nwayi’ pardon your brother if it is not correctly written, you are always welcome
Ugali:
Someone please help - I am at loss on the 20 - 1 on the ladies side :-)
Denmark is not socialist, so musicians must ‘wack’, and I don't think love alone, can pay their bills.
On the other hand, gigs do pay handsomely, for the successful musicians. And for the mediocre musicians, life is tough.
Be sure to give the brethren in the Uk a phone call when you invade Europe. You owe us at least that much.
Happy planning and a very good weekend to one and all. I love you all guys!

Nnorom's is a wringing indictment of a failed state. Even children born into this disaster of a country have a no reason to be hopeful. The despair starts while they are in the womb.
