The Report is been too kind to Nigeria to even say 50 years. is more like 100 years. That is if you get a good Leader. However with Nigeria as currently structured I say it will never happen.

What do you expect? The farce of a Country will never work as structured. Most experts in the world know it. Those jokeying to be the president of such a nation-state in its current state of comma will not only fail, they will forever be identified with poor performance.
Not even the political equivalent of an Abracadabra will bring Nigeria back to life; short of complete overhaul or partition.

If Obasanjo is a dummy, why is he president?

This your annoying one-liners is not reflecting well on your up-bringing and education. You may as well just log and type "ba kwomi" and then log off if you have nothing to contribute to the debates.
All,
I didn't really think anybody will spare some time for Baba Iyabo. This is what I found today on Aremu's performance

Even a blind Biafra-hater could see that Obasanjo is clutching at straws. The ghost of Biafra and the repression of Ndigbo will always hunt him. His incoherent rambling is a desperate attempt to clutch on to the sinking and cursed ship that he has made of Nigeria.
Nothing will save this man and his Nigeria. Nothing!

This guy Obasanjo has no clue of what presiding over a country is all about. He is busy fighting an imaginary civil-war against Ndi-Igbo which ended in 1970. This is why he is a complete failure.

Ohafia: I could not resist to notice the feelings of your enthusiasm. There is actually nothing wrong with that. You are a good man and I can understand your pains. I believe belonging to the mainstream political environment would be the first step to fight the worthy causes clamored by you and your cohorts. Negating a one Nigeria, for now, is not a good step.

That's a lot better from you. I was just worried that new-comers to this board will follow your bad example of petulant one-liners. You need to give me very good reasons for advocating that we all remain in the sunk ship called naija.

Has anybody wondered why a pass mark was given to Obasanjo by the Nigeria Labor congress and the World Bank?
It is not based on his performance but more leaned torwards maintaining a civilian government. Remember the British gave him satisfactory grade that also was based on maintaining the transistion from Military to civil government. It has nothing to do with the economy or his competency.

The British aught to be ashamed of themselves, they are the primeval cause of Nigeria's basket-case problems. They should be hiding their heads in the sand.
Two years is too early to assess if Nigeria's neophyte democracy is sustainable.
The Nigerian-state should be suspicious of the British, they may prefer it in its current predicament.

Ade Olajide: Thanks for that link. Actually, there is no basis for Nigeria's continued existence. It is just a matter of time and we would all learn, this time around.

Bature, The answer is learn, that no country in the entire world is governed the way Nigeria is being run. Now you answer this, show me a country where there no is accountablity, where citizens are treated like dogs, where there is no security, where the airline, railways, schools, hospitals, and all the infractures have collasped and still exist as a country?? You know there is no where in the world even within Africa, that any group of people will accept the type of goings on in Nigeria. Remember Ivory-coast? When the military attempted the Nigerian style of enslaving the citizens, Everyone took to the streets and brought the madness to a quick end. It shocks me beyond imagination that all you one Nigerianist do not see anything wrong with Nigeria. You will learn sooner than later that there is something seriously wrong with Nigeria.
