I have wondered lonely like a cloud and there is no end to my loneliness in thoughts. I have asked myself why are the Generals coming and why should it be an issue? This is my consumption given the homicidal track record and violations of basic human rights by the Nigerian Generals. However,it has become a culture of reasoning by some intellectuals [Nigerian professors to be exact] with gross deficiencies as in ethics, philosophy to society and defense of the Nigerian Generals as more charismatic than civilians. This conspicious thought troubles me with pity. I have just read a poll by an E business [Gamji.com] and noticed that two Generals has more votes than Orji Kalu as best for President 2003.

Question: Why do some people with the highest level of education reduce their level of reasoning to intellectual degredation and quackery? I am referring to an article in NigeriaWorld.com "The Generals are Coming". I read this article and frankly, I was not particularly impressed by the decency given to the Nigerian Generals neither was I stimulated by the professor's reasoning.

Your thoughts.

Hail Biafra

Thirthy-four years of Military dictatorship what do you expect. It will take an equal amount of time to rid Nigeria's consciousness of the malaise that is Militaritis.

The Nigerian-state is still held hostage by these characters even when retired. Hence the Professor in question writes in his state of paranoia. They hijacked the country, rendered it thier cash cow, do you think that they'll willy-nilly depart into oblivion?

You have to remember that most of these Generals with no known contribution to Nigerian Military Science with the exception of a handfull are anti-intellectuals. Most top University professors were enticed and corrupted by the Military machine in Nigeria.

To be quite frank with you, most Nigerians following what happened in PDP convention in Jos in 1998 are apprehensive, and do not know what next these guys have up their sleves. In their quest for self perpetuation and preservation anything is possible in Nigeria. They are particularly mindfull of who comes to power in Nigeria fearing being brought to swift justice

Let it be known that Professor Omo Omoruyi is a confused man. In many of his articles, he has tried to convince Nigerians that he knew every plan about the Nigerian-state from the post-independence era. Babangida and Abacha were his closest friends, he would tell Nigerians. Why is he growing lips now rather than Abacha's era?
