The UN has stepped up their investigation of Nigerian govt for the wanton human right abuses of Biafran MASSOB masses in the Eastern region of Nigeria. As such, Nigerian govt, in its latest act of crude terrorism has declared Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, The MASSSOB leader, "wanted".
People, it should be recalled that MASSOB is a peaceful, unarmed, and non-violent Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State Of Biafra. This non-violent group is being tortured, arrested, imprisoned, and murdered on a daily basis (without provocation) by the Nigerian govt. All that this group (MASSOB) is doing is the peaceful exercise of their human rights of free speech and free assembly.
In his own words, here's Chief Ralph Uwazuruike's report. _________________________________
I wish to inform you that the Nigerian police declared me wanted yesterday. This was carried as the major headline by one of the national newspapers, the post express.
I am not afraid of the order. I am still very strong in mind and more prepared than ever to liberate our people from bondage.
Ralph Uwazuruike

Folks, I'm using this opportunity to announce that I'd need signatories for the upcoming petition letters to UN about this ugly terrorist development from Nigerian govt. This terrorism is unacceptable and should be nipped at the bud.
Umu Biafra, the time is up again to offer your solidarity for Biafra Actualization by adding your signature to this petition. Please do not let this one pass you by. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Even as we indulge in rhatorics, let's also back it with this simple action. You can send your signature thru the Private Messaging on this board. Thanks.

Amanda: Where are the signatures being posted? Could you open a thread for this purpose. Also, did you get my e-mail? This should be done in the open. Uwazuruike has his neck out, and he is in danger for fighting for all of us. Anyone who is afraid to sign a simple petition is unworthy to live.
Signatures can be posted on my (PM) Private Messageing on this board. However, those that have my e-mail address should use it to send their signatures. I'll promptly send a receipt mail to signatory senders.
Please don't forget to include your city and State. This confidential info will be used for the UN petition letters only. Its not divulge-able.
Damian, I read your e-mail just as I was getting out the door. I'll respond to it when I get home. Thanks.

The Guardian Online - http://ngrguardiannews.com Tuesday, June 12, 2001 Senate probes police, MASSOB clash
From Psaro Yornamue
INVESTIGATIONS have begun by the Senate Committee on National Security into the clash between the Nigeria Police and the Movement for the Survival of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) which occurred last February in Imo State.
The clash which occurred in Okigwe Local Government reportedly claimed several lives.
Chairman of the committee, Nuhu Aliyu told Governor Achike Udenwa while on courtesy call that the team was in the state for a fact-finding study of the MASSOB-police clash.
Aliyu called for the co-operation of all those concerned in order to get a comprehensive report.
In his speech, Udenwa expressed gratitude to the committee over its security related mission.
Udenwa said his administration recognised MASSOB as a pressure group but regretted that recent activities of the members left much to be desired.
He, however, noted that since the Senate committee had come, more facts would be uncovered on the matter.
Udenwa enjoined the committee to do a good job pointing out that the report would help the state government to ensure adequate security of lives and property.
The Guardian learnt that the senate investigation was as a result of a motion moved by Senator Ifeanyi Ararume. He represents Okigwe where the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, the committee has also visited the Imo State House of Assembly, to where Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, MASSOB leader was summoned over the clash shortly before the state police commissioner, Ahmed Abubakar, was also summoned.
Meanwhile, Udenwa at the weekend explained why he dissolved the state council of traditional rulers for over two years now.
According to him, the council suffered its share of the military excesses which led to the near collapse of the nation, "the council was polarised, forces of divisiveness plagued the few meetings, the contributions in terms of assigned advisory functions were minimal, if any", he said.
The governor who spoke while inaugurating the newly constituted council of Ndi-Eze observed: "Members of the dissolved council compromised their position as the spokesmen of their subjects and were worked hand-in-hand with the military administration".
Udenwa recalled that some traditional rulers had helped to discredit the institution in the past through conducts umbecoming of royal fathers.
He also warned traditional rulers over the conferment of chieftaincy titles on dubious characters, adding: "You should give chieftaincy titles to people with clean records, people who the society will look up to as models."

People, Some good news is coming out of the Bad news!
As Amanda has clearly stated, pressure is coming to bear on Nigerian government from United Nations and other international bodies. Hence the commitee which was stage managed using Senator Ifeanyi to raise a motion, so that the government will be seen to be doing something....we all know what will be result of this committee.
But this is more greese to our elbows because this is greatly due to our effort here in this forum in conjunction with other organisations that is resulting to this pressure on the government......if anything, this should be an encouraging indication that this train is indeed moving, be it an inch at a time.
Sooner than Nigeria will realise, the whole world will wake up to all this! and the nonsence will stop.......let's keep up the pressure.

Bro Amucha, Thank you for that promising piece of news.
Like Osetutu rightly inferred, the pressure from the body of nations is on the Nigerian govt about their reckless and gross human rights abuses of Biafrans. Therefore, the so-called Nigerian lawmakers are scrambling to stage-managed action.
This is a blatant indictment of Nigerian govt and its so-called law making bodies. That a wanton and gruesome murder occured by the armed sect of the govt against the unarmed citizens of a section of the country that they purport to protact and serve, yet, these senators did not see it fit to promptly get to the crux of the matter till we petition the international community.
Folks, this is just an appetizer. The UN is giving the Nigerian govt the rope to hang itself, as the UN is conducting their own investigations on all the charges against the Nigerian govt.
All the aiders and abaiters in these criminal slaughters of MASSOB masses will be investigated, indicted, and Nigerian govt will bear the consequences. These verdicts will also be used in charging the Nigerian govt to the Hague, after Biafra Actualization.
I'd been away on an internetless trip, and just came back to behold this news of another futile attempt by a rudderless, spineless and clueless brood of vipers to frustrate that which is unstoppable. Don't you just love it when they go very crazy? Yet they'll do well to listen to the following:
"Yet because our cause is just we believe we have not lost the war, only that the battlefield has changed. We are convinced that Biafra will survive. Biafra was born out of the blood of innocents slaughtered in Nigeria during the pogroms of 1966. Biafra will ever live, not as a dream but as the crystallisation of the cherished hopes of a people who see in the establishment of this territory a last hope for peace and security. Biafra cannot be destroyed by mere force of arms. May I take this opportunity to thank all those persons and organisations that have sacrificed that we might live – that we assure them that their sacrifice will not be in vain. Biafra lives. The struggle continues. Long live the Republic of Biafra".
General Emeka Ojukwu
“What had started as a belief was transmuted to total conviction; that they could never again live with Nigerians. From this stems the primordial political reality of the present situation. Biafra cannot be killed by anything short of total eradication of the people who make her. For even under total occupation Biafra would sooner or without Colonel Ojukwu, rise up again.” The Biafra Story Frederick Forsyth
"Fellow Biafrans, do not despair. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Never shall we resolve to acquire inferior status in Nigeria out of cowardice. Nor shall we compromise the future of our children out of fear. It is more honorable to die in the struggle for freedom than to live as slaves. We have initiated the struggle for the emancipation of our people. It is a long-term project. God will provide the circumstance for the realization of our dream. Our duty is to ensure that the struggle does not die". Ralph Uwazurike Aba 22/05/00
"Gowon failed to understand that the cause for which the Biafrans fought was just and far too sacred to be abandoned in a purported surrender by Effiong. Well, we have news for Nigeria. We reject surrender of good to evil, and we reject the purported surrender of Biafra to Nigeria. We reject the purported surrender of our people to a genocidal mob and the genocidal state of Nigeria". ~Damian BiafraNigeriaworld May 18, 2001
“We are happy that the cause for which millions of our people were mascared has once again stared Nigeria on the face. We are over - whelmed that Biafra, through a peaceful process, has become a reality. We cannot be part of a Nation where injustice, inequality and maginalisation are the order of the day. We cannot be citizens of a country where corruption is a way of life. We cannot belong to a country where dictatorship, violence and intimidation are principles of State policy. We cannot belong to a nation where our children have no future. It is better to die in struggle for liberty than to live as slaves”.
~Ralph Uwazurike May 22 2001
"I love the Republic of Biafra very dearly and pray that, by grace of God, she may remain and continue to grow and live and always act like a truly Christian country for all times".

Amanda: I would like like to see copies of the petition forwarde to the Black Congressional Caucus, the White House, and the leaderships of the U.S. Senate and the House. I have contacts at the Black Congressional Caucus, and I am sure they would like to know that Obasanjo is murdering Biafran citizens in BiafraNigeria. These Congress(wo)men and Senators have more Igbos in their constituencies than they have any other BiafraNigerians. This time, the world will know.

God bless you ! Couldn't agree more. Yes we need to raise the decibels and now is the time.
I just read in one of the Nigerian dailies that Amnesty Int Nigeria has given Aremu's murderous regime a clean bill of health. It didn't take me long to put 2n2 together to infer that the bloke at the helm of Amnesty Nigeria is Aremu's tribesman. I'll take him on as the Lord lives! Hell is reserved for all liars like him.
Folks,
We need to wake up. It doesn't take much to belong to these bodies or to write and sign petitions. Ralph & co are doing the hard bit and we need to show them exactly the same measure of gratitude and support that Biafran abroad exhibited during the civil war.
Lets do what my brother Ezeka has suggested. I'd forwarded a catalogue of all the killings of our people from AD1945 till date to Jewish lady who promised to help us make some noise.
As bro Umoreng will ask: "if not us who?"

I too am looking forward to signing the petition. But, I'd like to read it first. I heard that the letter is being circulated by e-mail, but I have not received the e-mail.
The people in the US and Europe must be made aware of the murderer that they are doing business with in Nigeria.

Ezeka, You're right. Every avenue should be utilized in alerting the world about the plights of Biafrans trapped inside Nigeria.
For the copies going out to the Black Caucus, and various branches of US govt, you can modify the petition letter to suit each office.
Sister Joy, No rough draft (preview) was sent to anyone for clarification/signature. The few people who requested a copy of the petition letter(s), got one after the letter(s) were done and sent.
However, I've posted a copy of the sent letter(s). The e-mail version will be sent tomorrow night...in order to include the signatories that came in later.

Sister Amanda: Kudos for all your effort. I will adapt the letter and have it out to Congress and the White House.

Amanda and Ohafia: For the tremendous efforts and remarkable jobs you guys have done in this Magnificent forum, I have ordered a special email address on your behalf. All you need to do is send your username to: webmaster@voiceofbiafra.com. Your email address would be anyname@voiceofbiafra.com.
What can I say? Many tnx 4 de gesture. Voice of Biafra? How nice. I'm very proud to have a cyberhut with the name that means a lot to me.
I think I agree with bro Damian(one of my heroes here) that we need to saturate this planet with "Biafra" so that Aremu and friends will come to terms/get over their Biafraphobe and alergy.
Lady B,
I think I'm allowed to say congratulations are in order. We appreciate you.
All,
Many many thanks for all your supports and encouragement. It is indeed true that "Igwe bu ike" meaning there is tremendous strength in number! I salute all of you and I wish to assure you that we'll reap in due course if we faint not: The enemy ain't got no hiding place.
Every blessings to y'all!
Mucho amor,

Thanks all for your kind welcome. Obasanjo has vowed to stamp out MASSOB by any means. Word here is that MASSOB was becoming bold because the leader was in the US recently and some so-called Igbo “Ph.Ds” and “doctor this,” “professor that” were all around Uwazuruike promising him support and other heaven and earth. The authorities have decided to teach MASSOB a lesson once and for all to show him that the people he thinks he has in the US are worthless.
Where are those professors and doctors now that MASSOB is under siege? What have they written about his being a wanted man? Do they even know where he is hiding? The families of these exiled professors and doctors and lawyers have told them to run for cover. That’s the way it goes. You Igbos or Biafrans or whatever you call yourselves are not united. I bet you it will probably be an Igbo that will collect the bounty-money that Obasanjo has put on Uwazuruike’s head. Blame us Yorubas all you want. It is you Igbos that will bring about the failure of Biafra the second time around.
I did not mind that this forum was called BiafraNigeriaWorld. My thoughts are open enough to rub minds with people who are pro Biafra. But I did not expect the board to be hijacked as a tool for Biafra actualization. If you start a forum called Biafra Actualization forum, no one will go there, except you Biafrans. You called this BiafraNigeriaWorld. To me BiafraNigeria means that there should be a level playing field for Biafrans and Nigerians. Your rhetoric here chases away anyone who is not pro-Biafra. I refuse to be chased away.
Do you really have any idea what the liberation struggle entails? Have you experiencd any? If so, explain in details. As a Yoruba outsider, do you really think that the MASSOBs anywhere would notify you of their classified modus operandi toward Biafra Actualization? Do you exercise your jaws (in this case, fingers) just for the fun of it?
On the subject of Igbo/Biafra unity, you are really getting out of line. Would you devote time and effort to talk about Igbo unity and their quest for Biafra nationhood when your Yoruba house is in disarray and stinking to high heavens? Worry about the complete islamization of Yoruba land plus your perpetual servitude to your Hausa/Fulani feudal lords. Your survival is hanging on it.
What you have displayed is a typical simple-mindednedd of an average Nigerian. Listen carefully. This site is pioneered and managed by Biafrans. Becuase its aim is to educate by bringing forth the issues affecting Biafrans and Nigerians alike...within the current Niger Area, it is imperatively right to avail it to Biafrans, Nigerians, and other non-Niger Area peoples. Therefore, those who waltz in here with nothing coherent to offer, do not feel too comfortable...and rightly so.
Now, if you're one of those, and it makes you find your heels and take flight, that's your cross to bear. You have stepped forward with the misconceptions most Nigerians drag along with, as they announce their entrance into this board. They come forth with beligerence, abusing, attacking, and mocking. Then, when they are met with laser guided reality, they scurry into oblivion. You are on.
