Ohafia, Well said. Even Ikpatt could not resist your knowledge of what is at stake, keep the ink flowing. Ikpatt may have mistaken this board for EgbeOmoOduduwa.cum-Nigeriaworld message board where sycophancy even by those who claim to be Ph.D holders is the rule. May be, just maybe, when he (Ikatt) travels to Nigeria and Akwa-Ibom or Cross Rivers as the case may be, he will see how his oil-producing communities have been turned to hunger-producing, then, and only then will he be in position to "advice" us, until then, his thesis should be seen from the point of a man desperate to impress his masters in the corridors of power in corruption-infested Nigeria.
As for "engineer" Aluko, he did admit that he is in his words an OPC "sympathiser". That says much of the "proffessor"
All I can say about the "space project" is that Obasanjo and Co are confused fellows running after rats while their house (Nigeria) is on fire.
Bro Biafra, Kedi kodi? Missed you and my sis Amanda and all Biafrans on board. Amanda and Co, thanks for your well wishes on my return from BiafraNigeria.

I hope you're having a good trip. It is not as simple as you make it sound and your brother Aremu doesn't think he needs help. That is why the moron is travelling all over the place even though there are more intelligent BiafraNigerians who could articulate the points he is trying to make more effectively.
What we have simply done in this board is to tell him from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE that a space policy is not "owambe". If you scroll up you will see the many treatise on the issue. It is a big deal and requires a lot of planning which Aremu and his band of yesterdays' men are INCAPABLE of doing.
Izuogu's made in Biafra car was beamed to the world about 4 yrs ago, but Nigeria would rather continue to buy from developing nations like Korea. I'm sure you must've heard of the Biafran Philip Emeagwali(pls see emeagwali.com) the father of the internet and one of the greatest minds in computing. Bill Clinton told Aremu about him and yet Aremu would rather bluff his way through and make a lot of noise about IT. Time will fail me to mention Prof Nnaji who is at the very fore of Robotics technology and has no space in BiafraNigeria to prove his mettle because he is a Biafran.
Nigerian are afraid to move forward and that is why yours truly WILL have nothing to do with such a perpetually retarded entity. That is why I'd rather have Biafra.

I really don't see where I acknowledged OU's anti-satelite launch post as being that grand thesis or eye opener. Admittedly, he gave a nice try - far better than other smut thrown in the name of BiafraNigeria (whatever that means) solidarity. But that did nothing to contest Aluko's treatment, did it?
I just read of proposed launching of 67 TV Stations. Does it ever occur to you that those'll be feeding off or using a whiteman's satelite abuna off the India ocean or that we'd need Satelites in nearest future for Info. management and tracking?
My good friend, there is no war to fight. Take off this Biafra knit-cap. I miss enjoying your insights of yester years.
The day I'd see Amanda and she's not wrapped all over with that confederate flag, I'd not believe my koro-koro eyes. You too!!
That Nwa man wrote about the NDelta - pretending to be philosophical about their plight. If he cared, I'd have seen him stand against the Niger dredging that will further destroy hope for millions of NDeltans.
I see that even a monk hungers for earthly things, does he not?
You said, "The day I'd see Amanda and she's not wrapped all over with that confederate flag, I'd not believe my koro-koro eyes."
I realize your deep fear about Biafra Actualization, I really do. Therefore, I'm expecting you at the Biafra cultural center inauguration in September. Be there. With your koro-koro eyes, you'd see me pull your ears and lay your fears about Biafra to rest. I expect you'd become a card-carrying Biafran who'd then exchange his clothes for a "Biafra-flag outfit"...and gladly.

Amanda: I have nothing to elaborate. Your postings speaks aloud for itself. You just called Ikpatt the "mischievous one" not even going at length to stand by my statement. You have derided, denounced and frustrated the efforts of every progressive ideas meant to effect change in a new Nigeria. It is either your way or nothing works. How come?

Bature, Understandably, you are ignorant of the ALLEGORY I used to convey my communication to Ikpatt. Naturally, your half-baked educated rationalization led you to conclude that I hate Ikpatt.
Allow me to impart a little knowledge to you. You see, when I addressed Ikpatt as "the mischievious one", the intent was camaraderie, thus, my use of the smily icon. Did you comprehend the content of rest of that message (to Ikpatt)? Are you able to decipher my overall demeanor there? Always pay attention to those tiny images that appear (directly above and at the bottom of extreme left side) of the "post a reply" page. These icons conveys the emotions we feel as we posit a reply of a thread.
Because your inductive reasoning is one-tracked, you found it taxing to comprehend such simpe enablers, and as such dubbed it "hate". Even as I write this (assuming Ikpatt has read your posting), Ikpatt will be amused to no end at your interpretation.
Though western education has raised you slightly above that of a regular northerner, suffice to say that inductive reasoning and common sense are genetically non-existent. They can't be bought, coveted, or stolen like the Biafra oil which has afforded you the privilege of a western education, though it is mediocre at best.
So if I tell you, next time think a little deeper before hitting the keyboard, would I be asking too much of you? See why it is an abominable affront to lump Biafran progressives with barbarous dullards?

Amanda: Here you come again with the same confusion I talked about earlier. Did I ever said that you hated Ikpatt? Did you "comprehend" as you would always suggest my previous posting regarding your rhetorics that never gave a credit to the efforts of our neo-democracy?
No offense intended and don't get me wrong, I still stand by my word and believe wholeheartedly, that, nothing out of Nigeria, even though progressive, would satisfy your conscience. But has it occured to you that you would be better off in a one Nigeria, never minding the past, if you join in the struggle to effect a better and one united Nigeria; thereof, starting anew with a clean slate rather than agitating and fighting for a lost cause?
I must admit in this regard that you are one of few intelligent Igbo women who have steadfastly contributed their knowhow to the struggle, whether Biafra or Nigeria. And I must admit too that more could be accomplished when you start engaging yourself and encouraging a one united Nigeria.
Definitely, such a gesture would pay off, in the long run.
I do understand your angst. We all have been wronged and it is only a truce that can save us fron this perceived doom. Think and do something about it.

Bature, I came back here (earth) for a special mission. This mission is an unrelentless dedication and determination in my zeal and faith in the freedom of the Biafran children of the Hallowed ground which signified the rising sun.
Understand that I do not suffer any deliberate distractions and sufterfuges designed to delay this freedom for Biafrans. I'm of a staunch belief that though history be delayed, it can never be prevented. Such is the case with Biafra.
Bature, you and I, (the Biafrans and the northern Nigerians) have absolutely nothing in common, and rightly so. Its best that we peacefully go our seperate ways. Your destiny and mine are not inter-twined, and as such I owe you no obligation for a co-existence in a country setting.
The essence of western education is the ability to be discerning enough to be self dependent thru personal hardworks and achievemnts and the ability to pull one's self up by the bootstraps, should one mis-step and fall. Now, if we all claim to be endowed human beings who are capable of self-upliftment thru our education and exposure, then truly, very truly, you should comprehend the need for the Biafrans to exit from Nigeria. You should have realized the need for the children of Arewa to look inward (unto themselves) for their own development, by themselves, and from themselves...in a seperate country that will only be theirs. Again, you should have also learned and understood that being perpetually dependent of others for sustenance is a self-inflicted disease that will lead to extinction.
Make no mistake here. I do not waste an iota of my time hating any being. Criticism do not equate hate. The liberation move for Biafra Actualization for Biafrans does not equate hate. Speaking out against the evil commited against Biafrans by the Awusa/Fulani/Yoruba conspirators is not hate. Hate diverts positive energy. Hate corrodes the soul with evil. It drives the God within farther out and away. When such is the case, the evil souled individual turns murderous with no regard for the sacred human life. Your people's hatred for Biafrans led them to commit sacrilegious genocide which will forever taint them in the eyes of God and the world. It has earned you eternal curse. The Biafrans, on the other hand, are blest. How? Inspite of the murderous genocide, robbery, and arson you perpetrated against them, they were able to go back to your enclave and rise up successfully in whatever endeavor they layed their hands on, even as you loot their oil and share it among yourselves, to the exclusion and devastation of the Biafrans. They have not brought war against you nor sought revenge against you. One would have thougth that that you will feel contrite for your evil against these Biafrans, but no. You continuously seek to take their lives and properties and continuously covet their oil resources with envy and jealousy.
Does your koran not teach you to be true and upright in your dealings with others? How then can you, after the claim of discerning education, not truly say the reasons why you want to keep Biafrans hostage in Nigeria? You really need to do a serious soul search about your deceptive rhetorics for continued one Nigeria. Now that a whole lot of you have acquired western education, it is imperative that you come together and educate your illiterate imams, emirs, mallam, alhajis, talkawas, almajiris, and your enslave purddah women about the crucial need of self determination for self sustenance in a seperate country called Arewa republic. Dis-engage your panicky mind from the latch-on called Biafra. Its time to turn over a new leaf in this 21st century. Walk away from being parasitical to embrace productivity.

Ikpatt Where are u really from? Arewa or Odua Republic. Are u an Easterner or what? Amanda said it right. U are the "mischievious one."
Traitors like u are the ones who kept your people and the rest of Biafra in bondage. But don't worry at last we will be liberated and u will be forced to hide in the Nigerian enclave. U are a good example of Saro Wiwa, Isaac Boro, etc and all other animals and slaves of the Northerners who hated Biafrans and Igbos for no just cause. You shall be rewarded just like Saro Wiwa was rewarded. Unfortunatley the innocent Ogonis, Ijaws, and NigerDelta minorities are now the ones suffering for the sins that their Igbo hating leaders committed. Ken Saro Wiwa might have fought against injustice but we know that he was filled with hatred and tribalism and it backfired. Oh yes it did backfire. May be u need to sit down and start thinking about the history of Biafra and Eastern Nigeria. Ken Saro Wiwa that hateful demon fought against Biafra, seized properties of Igbos who did nothing wrong but invested alot in Portharcourt. Ijaw and Ogoni leaders gained nothing at all their evil plans backfired. The ghost Biafra later came back and thought them some lesson. The same Hausa/Yoruba that divided Biafra later came back turned on fools like u. Ken was killed, innocent Ogoni and Ijwas were massacred. Tell me haven't u thought about it or are u so backward and filled hate that u don't care about your fellow Easterners? I'm sure if u,do u wouldn't Ken Saro Wiwa yourself. Let me make this clear to u. I do not want to hear fools like u blaming us for your problems. You are your problems. U had your chances to to get something good but some of you threw it away like garbage. Don't blame it on the Igbos at all. I don't know what the evil Hausa/Yoruba generals promised u traitors but unfotunately u didn't get it. May be some of you cannibalistic fascist bastards thought you'll be millionaires by seizing our properties but unfortunately for you our God in Heaven wouldn't let that happen. Nobody can gain anything by wrecking havoc on the peace loving Biafrans when u are done God will pay u back by turning your flagitious allies on u. What have u gained from fascist alliance with Arewa Republic? Nothing. We know what Urhobo and Ijaws did to the peace loving Asaba people but unfortunately for them and fortunately for Igbos, our Asaba brothers and sisters are still progressive. After hating Asaba people they turned their hatred and anger on themselves. Ijaw Itsekiri/ Urhobo wars are all the reparcautions. When u look at the history of Nigeria u'll realize that it is only in the East that the Hausa/Yoruba soldiers have always committed genocides, you definitely know what I'm talking. Biafra shall unite okay. So start getting ready to either run back to the Nigeria or hang yourself 'cause when we finally actalize Biafra corrupt evil ass wouldn't be given any acomodation in Biafra. You will barnished from Biafra.
The Batures and Bamideles divided the Easterners but unfortunately for them Ijaws, Ogonis, Igbos, Efik/Ibibios, and other true Biafrans ahve realized that the only way to survive is to join MASSOB. How do u feel about that? Your anti Ibo and Biafran sentiments are not going to work for u anymore. The new Biafrans have realized that Nigeria likes dividing them so they can steal their resources and run run back to their lands.

Ikpatt, To show my sincere concern for my home-based Deltans, I did visit such places as Calabar, Uyo, Asaba, Port-Harcout and of course, Benin-city to see things for my self and I can tell you that should you say the rubbish you have been dishing out here and on the EgbeOmoOduduwa.cum-Nigeriaworld messageboard, in any of those places, your own people of the Niger Delta will hang you like they almost did when one stupid Senator Braimoh, representing Delta at the House of Reps did say qoute "The Deltans should forget about resource control" You are a disgrace to the Delta people you pretend to represent.

... Aro; The only thing that took you to Calabar was, perhaps, "Unical".
You had to drive past Benin (stopped for fried snails) and Asaba (enroute Umu...) from near Abeokuta.
Port-Harcourt? One of 2 things: Expecting a container or to visit an in-law.
You don't care a hoot about the NDelta. Never had and only could in a limited way when your material interest is sought after. And that is prototypical of Nigerians of the so-called "majority" stock:- Ndigbo, Hausa & Yoruba stock I mean.
I call a spade for what it is. Not to spark controversy or hatred as appears the agenda of many Nigerians, but to bring "truths" to light no matter how whitewashed by folks for personal reasons.
It is no news that NDeltans and other Nigerians are suffering. I know. I have seen. I am not in Jupiter. It is not eye-opening information that needs your touring the area for moral support - the wide world already knows.
And do not be mistaken in believing the NDelta is looking forward for your (or anyone's) sympathy. It is our cup to drink and my prayer is that we perfect the game of politicking and self identification to get what your (as defined above) "folks" have stolen from us.
If we have a problem with any government, even with PDP's as it appears we do, we do not depend on any Big Brother for handouts - we'll deploy whatever is legal and just to secure what is rightfully ours. It may take time and pain.
Amanda; Tell me on the time & venue of the Biafra Confab. I love were Nigerians meet - because there is internalized love and respect for green-white-green no matter how arranged or muddied. I'll bring along my "Ibibio" brother of oldies memories. Perhaps, I'll succeed in towing you back to hood you ran away from. Only make sure there is Ofe Nsala, Ofe Uha and isie ewu as desert - after the kind and order of Nicholas Junction. And NEITHER Bakassi Boys nor Gulder. With alchohol and Bakassi combo, I won't be safe around ... Aro and my main man, Biafra.
I thought a good telephone system or any well managed communication technology can achieve the vaguely defined advantages you posted. The crucial question is why Nigerians who cannot call an ambulance or Police over a telephone will believe this grandiose space odyssey starring the same actor who delivered transfer of technology.

Ikpatt, that name sounds like Calabar.Iam sure that your a Biafra but do notwant to admitt it. That's too bad. I must admitt that I have not noticed you, my bad but now that I have noticed you, I would be asking questions and pay a little attention to your responses. You can be sure,I will respond with a bang. Now the first question is this.
How do you intend as Niger Delter to achieve your resource control without the help of the Biafrans? There is every Igboman in all your states and have you ever wondered why it was designed that way? Is there an analogy between Kwara and Kogi state where you have almost 5 yorubas out of 2 Hausas and the Niger Delter where you have the same stats?
Have you read about Usman article about Niger Delter "That Niger Delter is not a region, ethnicity or state, it was a creation of Colonialism" It is only Peter Ekeh that has been able to respond him. I wonder what you think about Usman's article?
Please, bear in mind that I have my deepest sympathy with your goddamned problem with Nigeria. I have written articles attacking the destruction of Odi. But my brother, I do not believe that you will achieve your goal without first making peace at your home.
If you respond rather kindly I will greatly appreciate it. But any which way, I will reciprocate.
Hail Biafra

It appears no one doubts Aluko's "textbook" account of benefits of the Space program. But most have concerns that are two fold:
1. That the present Govt. of President OO is proposing the project. The argument is that OO, a perceived public enemy by some, is not competent in any form to do anything right.
2. That the Space Program may become another abandoned project riddled with corruption and mismanagement. Of course, this constitutes a legimate concern to any one who has followed politics and history of Nigeria for few years.
But none of above concerns constitute legimate argument against benefits of such a Space program. If so, no new programs or initiatives should be expected in Nigeria until both cultures of corruption and mismanagement disappear.
By reasoning in criticisms against the Space Program, the Dredging of the Niger should become a non issue as Nigeria is yet to fully utilize facilities at both sea ports in the South East EPZ. If lack of a good telephone network and mass poverty are good enough reasons to suspend the Space program, why can't the reason of underutilized seaports stop the Dredging project?
That dredging is expected to commence in October, 2001. Who (especially of the Ndigbo) can step forward and vouch that money will not be stolen and/or the project won't be poorly maintained in future (if it will ever be completed)?
Waypoint, I don't know who is feeding you with undocumented stats spun from deceitful ethnocrats. We live in an information age that gives no credence to wild statistical imaginations. There are N'digbo in NDelta States but not in doctored percentages you seem to have been fed - at least not in my Akwa Ibom.
If you really believe any other ethnic group could help the NDeltans out of present plight, why wasn't such group(s) there when the peoples were systemically subjugated over years of Nigeria history?
posted
Ikpatt, You should answer some of the questions you posed to waypoint. Whoever fed you with the deceithful thouht that your people were systematically subjugated by any group over the years lied to you. If you were well informed about the past as you claimed, it will be clear to you that you are now repeating history. What i understand happened then was that, while Awo kept his western region intact, he came over to the east, due to some internal problems between our people, and planted hatred and split the NCNC. At that time only few people were well grounded in politics. This created alot of chaos, people didnt know better. Now this is the 21st century, people are more enlightened and can reason better. For you to continue your hatred for Ndi-Igbo the way you do rightnow is very pathetic. Your hatred will not make things better for you either. The truth is that we all have a common enemy, who have vowed to dominate us all and control our resources. Wheather we like it or not. This is a huge struggle for us all.Our opponents are better positioned than us, they have the ARABS supporting them both morally and materialy.Their British advicers are there telling them how to deal with us on daily basis. The day you change your mind and stop seeing Igbos as enemies, but partners in this great struggle the better for you and your likes. We are all in the same boat, like it or not. All the noise about one Nigeria is nothing but a big fraud. My close friends are from Akwa-ibom non of them think like you.

Rehabilitate Victims Of Ke/Bille Crisis, Kalabaris Tell Rivers Govt Vanguard (Lagos) July 16, 2001 Posted to the web July 16, 2001 Abalama, Rivers
The people of Kalabari Rivers State, at the weekend in Abalama, appealed to the state government to rehabilitate the victims of the one-year-old Ke/Bille war, by providing them with basic necessities of life.
Ke, a Kalabari town in Degema local government area of Rivers state had since 1998 been in conflict with their neighbouring Bille community, during which hundreds of lives were lost and many villages sacked.
The crisis, which climaxed early this year, leading to many indigenes of Ke seeking refuge in Port Harcourt, the state capital and its environs, originated from disputed claims by the two communities over the ownership of the land on which the Awoba flow-station owned by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) is situated.
The requests were placed before Gov. Peter Odili during a grand civic reception for him in the ancient Kalabari town of Abalama.
The people said "the Kalabari people lost so many souls and property worth millions of naira and the victims of that senseless massacre are still homeless, their houses burnt, their women raped and killed, while Ke town is now a deserted and dehumanised community in need of urgent rehabilitation."
They expressed gratitude to Odili over the manner he handled the conflict and requested for an immediate rehabilitation of the victims.
"What happened to the Ke people is akin to the Odi massacre, perpetrated by Bille community", they claimed, adding: "We wish to request his excellency to take certain urgent steps to remedy the situation".
The people requested Odili to appeal to the Federal Government to establish a permanent Naval base at Abisse because of its strategic position in the area.
"This will promote peace, security and help to check sea piracy in the entire Kalabari kingdom", they said.
They called for the resettlement of all displaced people resulting from the Ke/Bille and Elem/Krakrama communal conflicts as well as the provision of housing units and other infrastructure "to alleviate the sufferings of the victims".
C. Ikpatt Will u blame the Igbos for this one? Aren't those people NDeltans? How come they are the one killing themselves? Have the Igbos ever being involved in the conflicts over there. No. Gov. Odili isn't he an Igbo man? Tell me has he ever done anything to u. May God save your hopeless soul. This is another Ken Saro Wiwa.

Ipkatt, Now that you seem to be talking and not barking as you did when you came here to refer to this messageboard as "KKK messageboard" and went further to lie that we (members of this board)were "unreachable", I will response in kind. If the imaginary "reasons" you gave aboth are why I went to the afore-mentioned places, one thing you will agree with me is that I did directly or indirectly met some indigenes of those places (of which I did). Nomatter my mission, I can tell you that the Deltans I met in those places and elsewhere were united in saying in your words "...that NDeltans and other Nigerians are suffering..." If you (Ikpatt) like your fellow Deltans at home knows that Niger Deltans, ditto other Nigerians are "suffering". The million dollar questions is how will Nigeria sending airship to space change or better the life of the "suffering Deltans and other Nigerians?", on the otherhand, I can confidently say that dredging of the River Niger will change and better the lives of most Nigerians, including the Niger Deltans, to this end, your comparison is simple misplaced. I will be against the "space programm" even if my father were to suggest it at this stage of Nigeria's (under)development.

Mallam Bature,
You've hit the bull's eye. Couldn't agree more with you. BUT, the concern of my brothers and sisters are not unfounded as the OPC are looking at means to siphon money for their "operation Ilorin" to the detriment of other BiafraNigerians. That is the real issue.
