Gov. Orji Uzor Kalu: An Igbo Traitor in Umuahia
Now that Orji Uzor Kalu has squandered the goodwill he garnered following the Kaduna massacre, let me be the first to declare him an opportunist and Igbo traitor. This selfish, opportunistic, and inarticulate governor of Abia State must be told that his ambition to become president is secondary to Biafran and Igbo interests in BiafraNigeria. This man has clearly shown that he lacks the intellect to lead Ndi-Igbo or Biafrans. We must remove him from the corridors of power before he harms us more than he has already done. Kalu is not leadership material for the purposes of Biafra actualization or for getting Ndi-Igbo out from marginalization.
Henceforth, it should be our goal to thwart Orji Uzor Kalufs presidential ambitions for 2003 or for any other time. Biafrans can do better. The man is an opportunist. Kalu must be told that MASSOB is not operating under his administration. Thus, he has no power to ban MASSOB activities. The MASSOB phenomenon is a civil disobedience. No State or efederalf government in BiafraNigeria can ban MASSOB. Kalu should tell us what he has done about the killing of MASSOB members. Even Kalufs purported presidential ambitions is fraudulent. He appears more intent on riding on IBBfs infamy to become vice president than on becoming president himself. I recommend that Orji Uzor Kalu be added to the Igbo shame list at Biafraland. As far as I am concerned, Kalu can kiss the presidency goodbye. He is finished.
P/S Eby: Thanks for bringing Kalufs purported ban of MASSOB to our attention. I think that this thread will best deal with that traitor, than a thread that only focuses on his empty ban of MASSOB. Let us continue this discussion here.
Saturday, July 7, 2001 Kalu Bans MASSOB Activities In Abia
A Two-week ultimatum is now hanging on the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) to discontinue its operation in Abia State or face the full weight of the law.
The ultimatum was issued by Governor Orji Kalu during the unscheduled inspection of Umuimo and Umuaro roads.
Governor Kalu alleged that MASSOB members had constituted themselves into a nuisance and security risk by their "wanton molestation of innocent citizens and disruption of business activities in the state."
He maintained that his administration would not tolerate any breakdown of peace, law and order by any group and as such, must not keep calm and watch the MASSOB members turn themselves into a "tin god".
On the road projects, the governor said he was dissatisfied with the slow pace and quality of work on the two roads being handled by Bencov (Nig) Ltd. and urged the contractor to repeat work on completed but already broken down parts.
The governor also inspected the Orji Kalu Teaching Hospital project in Aba, and charged the contractor handling the job to complete the project in six months because his administration was in a hurry to relocate the Abia State University Teaching Hospital to that hospital.
Responding, the Administrative Manager of Bencov, Mr. Ekeh Gilbert, gave the assurance that the firm would complete the project in the next six months and asked for the release of funds for the job.

It has of recent become quite evident that Orji Kalu is nothing but a political opportunist whose only interest is power for its own sake or for his own adulation. Unfortunately for him, he lacks the political skill to maneuver his way in a complex political situation. MASSOB presents one such situation for the Igbere man. This time, he has outdone himself.
Regardless of any previous good deeds, an Igbo who creates a conducive environment for outsiders to persecute other Igbos is a traitor. We have rightly castigated Mbadinuju as an Igbo traitor. Now, Kalu has earned his place as a traitor to Igbos. Let us focus on the goal, and not the personalities. Mbadinuju and Kalu will be remembered as traitors. There is no way that Kalu can now win Igbo support for his presidential ambition in 2003. So, he can stop dreaming.

A question that needs asking is "does this fellow have the constitutional powers to ban an organization, whatever organization?” I am afraid that these atavistic throwbacks to the dictatorial nightmarish years need to be asked to study the constitution that they are sworn to protect. That is, if they can read, how much less study!
A journalist is clamped into jail for writing an article perceived to be unsavory to the President. A governor bans a popular grassroots organization. What is this, folks?
And the demagogue goes on to name an uncompleted hospital after himself. The days of selfless service are over. How many monuments are named after Zik, Okpara, Akanu Ibiam, Aguiyi-Ironsi etc. put together? And doesn't caution dictate these recognitions even when merited should be posthumous? Zik in actual fact in very clear terms told Ibrahim Babangida that he didn't want the University of Nigeria named after him. Yet this charlatan of suspect paternity presumes to name this Teaching Hospital after himself? Na wa oh! What's wrong with the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, anyway?

The struggle for Biafra has nothing to do with Orji Uzor Kalu. Now that he has decided to be an obstacle we should simply do to him that which is done to any other saboteurs. Thankfully, he poses no serious intellectual challenge.
Indeed, as much as Uwazuruike commands respect at the moment, the struggle for Biafra does not depend on Uwazuruike. He enjoys the support for only as long as he is faithful to the principles of Biafra. Obasanjo and those that are hounding Uwazuruike should know that Uwazuruikefs death or imprisonment will only energize us in the struggle. We are not just talking about a peaceful struggle. Those who kill Igbos and Biafrans should prepare to die. It is as simple as that.
I will personally work against Orji Kalufs election to any office in BiafraNigeria or in Biafra. Will the webmaster of biafraland please hurry up and add Kalu's name to the list of Igbo traitors?

Orji Uzo Kalu have just destroy the little credibility he has enjoyed since he made some inroad. Now this will come back to hunt him, The man have proved himself to be an Igbo traitor and an Oppotunist. First of he listened to his masters from the North to derail Dr Alex Ekwueme's presidential ambition. Now he is using MASSOb to appease his boss to allow him to become president.
Now this is one opportunity that Gov Kalu is not going to enjoy smoothly. The man have shown that he is a light weight who is not articulate and not even polished to be leading people of Abia much less the Igbos. Remember there have been some question regarding Gov kalu's educational qualification. I have spoken to a Classmate of Gov. Kalu's at Government College Umuahia who have confirmed that Governor Kalu used questionable means to be admitted at Government College Umuahia (Fishers) where he retook his WASC. From the look of things and from people whom I have talked to who Knew Kalu from his days at Government College Umuahia it seem to me that Gov Kalu have been always an opportunist all his life. However now his past is geting closer to catching up with him.
if Governor kalu thinks that he is going to sacrifice Igbos interest for his political ambition they way he scrifice Dr Alex Ekwueme' chance, He better think again. We are not going to seat idle and let him get away with this.

We have to develop and maintain a system of accountability for any persons with Igbo leadership ambitions. This system should then be applied to every leader-wanna-be, without exception. It is simply ludicrous that some loose canon Igbo, Kalu, Maduekwe, or anyone else, could sell the entire nation out for his selfish presidential ambitions and still be able to parade himself as an Igbo leader.

This thread is being brought to the fore so those who are now pretending that the criminal one orji kamalu is anything but the lying rogue he and his minions are could see what a looser (he lost the confidence of Ndiigbo didn’t he?) the guy is. So, I’ll like nwa aro to explain to us how he intends to reconcile this kamalu boy's actions towards Ndiigbo and the lies they peddle about him fighting for Igbo blah blah blah?
It is curious to know that after saturating the room with so much parroted lies about this guy's sworn interest in becoming the next president of the banana republic, he still remains AWOL despite the alarm that went off for the real game to begin. Until something that comes close to making sense is told, I’ll continue to ask why no "fiam" is heard from these bloody shouters anymore. With confidence, I can say that I’m damn sure I can't be the only one wondering what became of their campaign noise especially knowing what nwa aro/weber the wiggler would be doing had their leader, orji kamalu maintained serious active campaign schedule. Even at that, I’m sure after I might have needled them to the point of waking up to their responsibilities of keeping a transparent campaign timetable, they, I guarantee you, will turn around to downplay their inactive operation since the green light for interested parties for the post of the president of their country went off. Maybe I’m rubbing it in but hey, who's asking? I knew when nwa aro/weber and his gang of confused assassins were making their animal noises, that nothing much will come out of seeking attention to be noticed by another ill educated awusa retired militia who they had hoped to serve under. Intelligent folks out there know that I'm not the only person who’s curious as to why kamalu’s bogus campaign screeched to a sudden and expected halt after the jostle went into serious stage. You think the dumber than dumb noticed?
