Now as the new year has been rung in, and all the Biafrans are considerably heavier after the Christmas holidays, what is your new years resolution?Well, as usual, I have quite a few:
#1. Regular exercise at the Gym- I hope that one day we will be able to provide facilities in our universities for exercise!
If you also made that resolution then I would like to give you a few tips:
You should have two goals;1/ Cardiovascular fitness.2/ Strength training.
For cardiovascular fitness you want to do an aerobic exercise for 30 minutes 3 times weekly. The goal of this is to keep you cardiovascularly fit. For the folks back home in Biafra who are reading this you may not have access to a gym, then you can just walk or do jogging, or speed walking. If you have some weights to carry this could make your workout more intense.
For strength training you need to use weights which could be free weights( they are cheap) or the exercise machines. This involves doing different exercises for different muscle groups and doing "reps" or repititions of these to obtain the desired effect.
So, when your willpower is failing you, and you think you just cant make it to the gym today, pick up your favorite pic of the moron of Abuja, and when you see his big belly, you will find yourself with renewed enthusiasm and vigor. ( It works for me!)
So use this negative image to motivate yourself about HOW NOT TO BE.
Good luck fellow Biafrans, have a healthy and disciplined new year, remember look at the nigerians so that you know how not to be, heres for a fit Biafra, even after the lean Xmas in the east...
