AllBy now you must have been completely innundated by the new past time of the arch Igbo haters in Abuja and their efulefu Phd errand boys at the national orientation agency. Indeed even the inglorious Ohaneze has joined the chorus, not that anyone is surprised. I have always wondered if there was some truth to this new talk of declining Igbo education and have sought to find out for myself if any evidence exist's to identify this thread.
BiafraNigeria is not a nation where basic information is readily available in paper talk less of online, so when I heard JAMB had gone on line I went in search of statistics. Here is what I found,
Jamb statitics 1997 to date
Looking at the above you would agree with me that the reverse is the case unless of course Imo and Anambra are no more Igbo states.
- You begin to wonder what are the intentions of people like Atiku and Gana from the most educationally backward parts of BiafraNigeria when they make these baseless assertions ? Is this a ploy to justify the fact that the likes of Zamfara are alloted the same number of spots for employment into the federal service as Imo state ?
- Since Ohaneze likes to join the chorus that Igbo's are not going to school, what are they doing about the 90% of the 78,000 from Imo state who are never going to find a job in BiafraNigeria.
- Why are the Igbo states not declared educationally disadvantaged if there really is a low enrolment problem ? Perhaps they can build the schools in the market since we like trading or did they not start nomadic education for the 21st century nomads.
Folks my conclusion is that rather than a low enrollment problem there is a huge unemployment issue among Igbo youths that has to be immediately and seriously addressed. I noticed that MASSOB has talked about job creation for the youths, what does Ohaneze intend to do about unemployment other than joining these gworo eaters to call Igbo youths drop outs ?
