The death toll is set to rise above 2000 just as President Obasanjo and his wife jet out to improve our image abroad. Unless the house of reps can ground this idiot of a president.

Look carefully at Obasanjo's attitude. They say he is non-charlant. Reports are that no soldiers died in the explosions. When was the last time that some of you visited Isolo and Ikeja. Most people there are Igbo. That is why Obusonjo is preparing to leave on foreign trips while his country is burning. It is time for us to go our separate ways.

Something so monumental happens and we do not see the necessary outrage and resignations at ministerial level yet.

What kind of curse is this. We have in our life time witnessed an undue level of irresponsible governance to be quiet and silent.

Regardless of what he says to the contrary, Obasanjo will kick off his campaign for a second term in office sooner or later. We must make sure he is punished for his incompetence.

Someday in the not too distant future, the real issues will confront everyone, simply put: Do the various nationalities concerned wish to live under the current political/state structure arrangement or not?

In my opinion, Nigeria as a state is not the "right direction" for the West African peoples who are unfortunately imprisoned (held against their will) in that "catchment" area. The direction of the nigerian-state leads to chaos, despair, poverty, collective low-self esteem and psychological paralysis. That is one-Nigeria.

If the country must be unsafe for its ordinary citizens, then the citizens have a duty to render the country unsafe for the leadership and its instrumentalities, including the police and other outfits that have been routinely used to torture the people. Obtusanjo and Danjuma are legitimate targets of the anger of the people.

Already, Danjuma has promised a secret investigation. It is shameful that the army that dismissed Genocide Victor Malu for wanting to protect the so-called secrets is now hawing about protecting secrets. What secrets! From whom are these secrets being protected? Certainly, not from those that ought to constitute the legitimate enemies of a modern army. The secrets are being protected from BiafraNigerians in general, and from Biafrans in particular.

The psychotic defense minister of BiafraNigeria is afraid, afraid now of his owne shadow. he has promised to relocate the Cantonment. Watch where they relocate it to. It is going somewhere north of Lagos, where the north will maintain control of it and retain the ability to deploy its crude power against the people of the South.

As some of you have noted, the Ikeja Cantonment was the site of a most gruesome and barbaric ethnic cleansing, perpetrated soldier against soldier, by Hausa-Fulani and Tiv hordes headed by Murtala Muhammed, Theophilus Danjuma, and Yakubu Gowon. Ikeja was the base from which Gowon and Murtala Muhammed destroyed the chain of command in the armed forces and foisted themselves upon their weak-spined superiors, Ogundipe and Adebayo, as well as a hapless populace to whom they have yet to explain the brutal murder of Fajuyi and Ironsi.

My condolences to the truly innocent people who lost loved ones in the disaster. The minimum that Danjuma and Obasanjo should do is to resign immediately. Time is running out on these two weaklings.

In the light of protecting themselves, there is no show of remorse from anyone in the military. When you leave megalomanic boys to play with weapons, this is what happens. Whether the explosions started in a marketplace or was deliberately started, it's time for Lagosians to RID themselves of Nigerian military presence and start aspousing regional armies. IT IS TIME!!! When are all you hypocrites claiming to protect your yoruba brothers going to start singing a different tune about this HALF NIggerhoea. I throw it to you sitting on your couch reading BiafraNigeria forum postings that have nothing of your concern within. I now thank God that there's no large amount of ammunition in my backyard!!!

Thanks Seun, you said it !! If the leaders show such complete disregard for the lives of the common man it is time for the commonman to rise up and rid themselves of these evil doers.

Danjuma, an evil man should be tried for genocide, and for manslaughter in this act of the army he heads.

The people need to understand that it is time for them to take control of their own destinies and to stop these evil men who will never stop themselves.

Make it impossible for these men to ever step out of their bunkers in the north.

I Belive the national assembly will be able to stop the president from travelling abroad amist the agony of Nigerian, afterall, he has been able to prove to the world that nigeria is a fertile land for investment, i think he has to be left alone on his work of redeeming nigerian image abroad.
nothing good can ever come out from the useless union called Nigeria, if we are ready to face the fact, if nigeria is trully a country then where were the rescue group and fire fighters, where is the Nigerian army, police and the rest security agencies. pictures does not tell lies and the photos has said it all. Obasanjo please give the people freedom. Biafra is a reality

On a second thought Obusonjo jetting off to US and Venezuela may not be that bad. There is a possibility that Ikeja explosion is not an accident. Wouldn't surprise me if the boys in khaki overthrow Obasanjo before he gets back. Taking out Ikeja Depot will deny the Yorubas the chance for any counter coup incase Baba Iyabo is overthrown while on one of his foreign cruise.

Wow! We should all be grateful for small mercies. The president postponed his celebrations for two whole hours.

Indeed, he delayed a state dinner organised for him by about two hours to record an emergency national broadcast on the tragic incident which is feared to have claimed over 600 lives.
Wow!

I have seen pictures of the rescue effort:

A solitary canoe fishing boat driven by oars, being manned by volunteering fishermen.

As for the Nigerian authorities: those heartless evil men nowhere in sight.

Where are all the motor boats they have been upgrading the navy with? Probably too busy hunting down Niger Deltans in the creeks of the Niger for slaughter. No holiday for murderers in Nigeria.

As for the oaf, who does he think he is that he dare to tell anyone "shut up"? Those poor people every singleone of them is more a man than he!

We want Danjuma!!! We want this guy tried for genocide and manslaughter, pronto, pronto.

However, I personally think this is no isolated event. More than likely this was orchestrated by the Nigerian Al Qaeda faction who seems to be preparing for war.

Let them rest assured, that any move on their part will surely lead to international intervention.

Which might not be a bad thing afterall; at last the noose is released from our neck! We will be free..,

Make my day, Osamas...

After reading this heart-rending report I think Obasanjo asked the bereaved and mourning folks to shut up because they are Igbos:- his nemesis!

It's now been reported that one of the houses has told Obasanjo not to leave the country for the Economic Forum in NY.

Funnily enough and reminiscent of a child's retort, Obasanjo stated that the desicion was made by himself prior to the house's motion was passed........ Yeah right!

The penitence of a thug!

Said he: "Whatever other remarks I made at that time was occasioned by apparent belief that no life was lost... With such magnitude of loss of lives and properties, a heart of stone would melt."

The above cack does not sound like penitence, regret or apology to me. When Obasanjo says he believed no life was lost is he suggesting that there was no security gaurd in the blooming Armoury whose certain death could be predicted by the most stupid idiot.

Meanwhile, the spin doctors will have us believe that our "thoughtful", benevolent and considerate Obasanjo cancelled his US trip. Baloney!

quote:
Before the motion was adopted, however, Rep Nduka Irabor, condemned what he called the callous way the President spoke to Nigerians on the incident. He proposed an amendment asking the President not to travel out of the country until the "last explosion has been heard." The amendment was unanimously adopted.
Reps bar Obasanjo from foreign trips

Listen to the rascal:

quote:
"When it was ascertained that they had picked over 600 dead bodies, I felt that, that was too much for me to keep quiet, that I should say something to the nation.

So there we have it. If you want Obasanjo to talk then over 600 bodies must be picked What a blood-thirsty idiot!

OU, could Obasanjo have meant when he said that " no life was lost", perhaps that no one other than igbos had died, and hence "no real life had been lost."

It makes sense that he told the igbos to shut up because I think that was what he did in the US last year.

What words can I use to describe this despot?
It is obvious that his driving force is bigotry and self fulfillment.

I still cannot figure out what all these igbos are doing in the slums of Lagos?
Never in my life have I seen a city more despicable and quite frankly nasty. A city with 12 million slum dwellers. These people need to go home, for I cannot imagine that these slums are the way to bring up their families.

These people need to go home, and develope Gods own country.

All this fleeing to the cities because they dont want to farm, it is farming that will make us self sufficient and independent from these beasts.
Its agriculture, agriculture, and agriculture.

I really think we need to have resettlement programs which offer incentives for igbos to relocate back home.
For if ever there were a hell on earth, then surely Lagos must be it.

Many sympathies to all who have lost their innocent civilians to the murderous NigeriaN ARMY which has no regard for human life nor dignity, and the leaders in their speeches reflect this Nigerian attitude of total disdain and disrespect for the common man.

All you igbos in Lagos, beware, because if there was a disaster of this magnitude when a weapons depot was blown up, imagine if the armed forces come on attack? More lives will be lost in the ensuing panic.

GO HOME.

Ijeoma:

That man called Obasanjo has no shame: he is a compulsive liar. The CNN and other reports on the day of the incident said "it is feared that casualty including civilians will be very high" That was on Sunday. And our man Obasanjo went there on Monday evening and pretended he thought nobody had died because he's been told off.

The same group of idiots had sought to gag CNN for giving a better estimate of deaths in one of the many "KillIgbo" festivals in the North. I'm even surprised Mr Obasanjo didn't say the bombs were expressing themselves like he said about the Talibans who killed hundreds of Igbo christians in Kano and Jos. that's how daft he is. Idiot.

Yara Wasa, I think you should come up with something better than querying Ijeoma's understanding of Nigerian demographics. Everyone knows that we Igbos are most widespread in our trading. We make the money that is denied us by your countrymen.

So in your extreme desire to appear well-read and analytical, try to find more substantial argument to immerse yourself in.

Well, all I know is, it does not take too much probing to elicit testimony why you folks can't go back to your respective enclaves establishing your businesses. That, also, would provide jobs in your barren lands. But as in your greed and material rivalry, Ibos will still be Ibos--lacking collectivity.

Wash your mouth with soup, I have started to doubt whether Bature is truely Awusa as he claims. Bature for your information Igbo land is 100 years ahead of your retarded backward awusa. In Minna for example the best house there belong to IBB or Abubaker. the two Awusa thieves. However come to any Igbo land town you see Igbo creativity at work.

Tell them all!
They are killers, they dwell in sin, and swim in the blood of the innocents.Should somebody tell Mullah Atiku to please close his dirt mouth and tsop telling a wounded people lies, where does Mullah Atiku Abubakar got this moral right to tell those they are killing by design that the jan.27 massacre of our children and relatives is munamental and greatest among the crimes agianst humanity they have been commiting. what about other recent killings in kaduna and thier own Taliban reaction of sep.11 bombing of US.We are not fools! no! We know what they are doing and we stand out to challenge that. The Hausa/Fulani has found it nessasary that the elimination of the Igbos and the rest easterners is the best opition in other to occupy our lands and have direct access to minarals period! since we have refused to convert to islam and become thier slaves like the northan minoritys whom they has eaten up.
The truth is hard to swallow but if mistakenly think that what happend in lagos was by accident, I am afriad we most be prepard to see more in the coming time. one has to pray if we dont become victims our selfs.

Can anybody tell me, why haven't Obasanjo and his cabinet resigned yet?

Let us make no mistake about it, somebody within that "catchment" area called Nigeria is responsible for the incredible and criminal negligence that led to such a high death toll.

We are not interested in feeble and after-thought apologies from Obasanjo. He and his cabinet should resign and as many as are responsible committed to long prison terms.

Previous administrations should be held accountable as well; fish the corrupt buggers out and jail them. Nothing less will do!
