There lies the carcass of a traitor, a greedy stooge of the West who was used to maim, rape, pillage, and destabilize the peace-loving Angolans. I hope Savimbi's death will be a turning point in the history and lives of war-torn Angolans whose only crime is the abundant resources of oil, Diamond and Gold (among other God-given resources), and the wish to live a decent and secure life. The West found a great stooge in Savimbi...just like Mobutu. Good riddance to an evil-sporn nightmare! Bravo to the Angolan people's army!

Savimbi fought his country, not because his country did injustice to him and his people, but, because he wanted to control its resources. Savimbi's friends were the enemies of Africa. They were Pete Botha, Ian Smith, Ronald Reagan, Debeers, Mobutu, etc.
Whatever is said about Savimbi, it will not be denied that he lived with and fought alongside his people. In the end, his soldiers failed him. They left his body to be picked up by the enemy, who proceeded to display it like that of an ordinary criminal.
Savimbi has often been compared with General Ojukwu of Biafra. Both men bear a striking look (not resemblance). But, looks alone may be the full extent of their similarity.
How does Ojukwu compare with Savimbi? Is it fair to even compare both me? What did Savimbi fight for?
