Yoruba and Cannibalism

If a Yoruba man invites you to dinner, just make sure you are not on the menu. Read this story. I am never going to eat anything in a Yoruba man's house ever again. Yuck! Yuck!! Yuck!!!
quote:
A Yoruba man man who confessed to killing his boss and making pepper soup with her body parts was arrested Wednesday, police said.

Salifu Ojo, a 23-year-old Yoruba farm laborer in southwest Ondo state killed Christiana Elijah, a 40-year-old mother of four, after a dispute over his pay

He chopped off her head, hands and legs, then removed her internal organs which he used as ingredients for his soup, police said.

Lord have mercy!

Patrick and Leo:

It would appear that you fellows are interested in making your own news. The news link you provided alleges that one, Mr. Ojo, killed and ate his former employer. Yes, Mr. Ojo is a Yoruba man but that fact alone neither support or add to the probablity that all Yorubas are cannibals.

Let us be careful with the type of arguments we make. Let us buttress our arguments with facts and truths. To do otherwise is to ignore the gravity of the issue at hand simply to piss in the wind. Enjoy!

Benbella,

Why bother those guys? Clement Orji, the Lagos cannibal, is obviously Yoruba to them.

O' Chukwu!

Rudolph,

I believe there is a great difference between insanity, Amadiora, Ogun and cannibalism. You probably don't know since your only limited to Journalism not law.

However, Clement Orji was not prosecuted because old boy was mad to the bone by legal terms. He was insane [Mcnaughton Rule] which states that a person is not guilty of the offense committed because at the time the offense was committed, he was not able to differentiate between the right and wrong and therefore was not concious of his doings and he is not guilty by reason of insanity.
In layman's term, his level of comprehension was that of a 6 year old if not lower compared to his adult age. That was clement Orji.

The Yoruba man in question killed his boss recklessly and wantonly with total disregard for humanity. He understood his right and wrong and made a very concious decision to Kill or not to Kill and to feast on her flesh. That is cannibalism and sanity and it is very prevelent among our Yorubas. He could have gone to the butcher's shop for a good sizable steak or pork meat but he prefers to BBQ the rib cages of a human being.

Our Yorubas, I used the term rather loosely are in conflict with religion. The Ogun they adore is in conflict with the koran and christianity. This is the root of all their evils. They do things because Ogun told them to do it.

I remembered when I lived in Lagos, any conflict with a Yoruba....he will swear loudly to call upon Ogun to harm you. While I do not exclude the chosen Ones[Ndi Igbo] because some section of our lovely tribe do have amadiora but have the tendency to avoid it's complexities with christian belief. Meanning, canibalism has never and will never be associated with Amadiora which is usually used as a curse word as an expression of anger rather than worship.

No where in Biafranigeria is cultism practiced more than in the Yoruba land. The Yorubas though very spiritual and church going are visibly blended with Ogun, human sacrifice, moslem and christianity. Our man Adams confessed that he functions well while under charms of OGUN.

This is not to spare other ethnic groups but it is common among the Yorubas. The Hausas practice cannibalism through the Sharia, that is why we deem it as satanic. There are so many good Christian Yorubas who repudiates this act.

I say get your facts together about Orji.

Hail Biafra

Benbella:

If that news report had been about an Igbo man, the Yoruba press would have left no one in any doubt as to its imputations of a generalized Igbo cannibalism. Have you read the Abati-led Guardian lately?

Abati and the Guardian/Ngwati press have declared an information war on the Igbo. If our so-called journalists will not fight back, they should shut up when someone who is not a journalist is doing it exactly the same way as the enemy.
