Thank you for reminding us of what this forum is all about and for reminding us of what we can accomplish together when we set our minds to it. Some of you may not know what we went through at egbeomooduduwa.com that led to the birth of BiafraNigeriaWorld. This party will be an anniversary to commemorate free speech and the birth of a bold organ for projecting Biafra, Nigeria, and Biafranigeria.

Renee has now volunteered twice to plan this party for us. Obviously, she is committed to the task and will not abandon us and leave us high and dry when the going gets tough. Let us all give her all the support she needs to make this party an event to remember.
Okwy hit the nail on the head. Something is at stake here. That something is the pride and self-respect as Biafrans and their well wishers. We cannot allow trouble makers to determine what we do or fail to do. We must show the doubting Thomases of the world that we are not to be ridiculed and trifled with. The success of BiafraNigeriaWorld has already shown them that. Let us make sure that the success of this party teaches them all a further lesson. The party must go on.

No, I am not in New Jersey. But if no objections are made over the next couple of days, I will proceed with planning the party to take place in Newark, New Jersey on May 25, 2002.
A slight deviation will be made to what was initially proposed -- i.e. the Robert Treat Hotel is out. As soon as I find a different space, I'll announce it.

Thanks for your self-effacing commitment and hardwork. Please count me in for the party on May 25. Can I make a suggestion? Some churches and high schools here in Boston hire out their auditorium or hall for social events and it tends to be a little cheaper than hotels. Can you or anyone else resident in NJ investigate some churches and high schools in Newark?
Also, student organizations can usually get halls on campus for free even if people from outside the campus are attending the social event. I am sure that there must be many Igbos attending grad. school or colleges in the NJ area. If you can get in touch with any of them, they may be able to get a hall for free if they book the hall under the name of their local African Students or Black Students organization.
I can actually try to get a hall on campus free of charge over here but only if you all don't mind coming to Boston. The thing is that hotels here are quite pricey and the Igbo community is not very large compared with NY/NJ where folks could easily put up with friends or relatives.
Perhaps, if Renee cannot find a reasonably priced hall in Newark, this could be a fall-back arrangement. Having said that, I still prefer NY/NJ.

If indeed AfricaWest has been banned from this forum, then he deserved to be banned. If it has not been done already, my recommendation to BiafraNigeriaWorld is that AfricaWest be banned immediately.
Free speech remains alive and well. There is a reason why people are prohibited from yelling “fire” in a crowded theater. The Constitution itself limits free speech. Free speech does not give AfricaWest or you the right to destroy this forum. AfricaWest freely announced to this forum that he is a lawyer. Yet, AfricaWest made all sorts of false and poisonous allegations against the Administrator. AfricaWest was given full opportunity to make his case. He failed to do so.
More than ever, it is obvious that AfricaWest is in the background plotting against this forum. He will fail.
It speaks for itself that of all the honorable and well-intentioned members of this forum, AfricaWest chose you, Rudolf, as his messenger, representative, and attack dog.
When Igbos and Biafrans were banned at egbeomooduduwa.com, you threw your support behind your master, chuck, or you maintained a cowardly and criminal silence.
You said that for you, it was "better to be on the inside pissing out, than to be on the outside pissing in."
Not once did you make a post on behalf of the banned Igbos and Biafrans. It is suspect that you are now speaking for AfricaWest who has shown that his only goal is the destruction of BiafraNigeriaWorld.
Rudolf, for your information, any further discussion not related to the party that forum members have expressed a desire to have should be made elsewhere. If you have any original thoughts to express, take it to an appropriate thread. I will contact and advise the Administrator to move all additional posts not geared toward the party, to a different thread or to delete them altogether, whichever is more appropriate.
Or better yet, Rudolf, take your drivel to egbeomooduduwa.com where it more appropriately belongs.

In the last two days BiafraNigeriaWorld has responded to certain issues in this forum. The reason that BiafraNigeriaWorld has taken the time to do so is that BiafraNigeriaWorld deems it important that forum members have an understanding of how decisions that affect membership and participation in this forum are made. However, the willingness to spend that time does not mean that forum members will be permitted to abuse this process. Any posts in this forum addressed to the Administrator or demanding the Administrator’s attention will either be ignored or deleted.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will look into hotels and other locations, preferrably in the New Jersey / New York area. In the mean time, you could explore options in your area, just in case.
