BIAFRA LIBERATION MOVEMENT (BLM)

PRESS RELEASE

March 19, 2002

The Biafra Liberation Movement (BLM) denounces the Obasanjo government as a totalitarian dictatorship responsible for crimes against humanity committed against Biafrans and other minorities and for plunging BiafraNigeria into widespread corruption. BLM will not accept an Obasanjo second term in office and without losing patience, BLM will fight for the independence of Biafra.

The Biafra Liberation Movement (BLM) has started the process of building a new presidency and re-drawing the political map of BiafraNigeria. In a fair election, the people will reach a political verdict against Obasanjo. It will be our duty to implement their decision. If BiafraNigeria remains intact, the next president of BiafraNigeria must come from Biafra.

If, by engaging in political fraud and blatant stealing of an election, Obasanjo rigs his way into a second term in office, BLM will render the Biafran part of BiafraNigeria ungovernable by any regime in Abuja. Any Biafran who supports Obasanjo for a second term in office will be treated as a saboteur.

If Obasanjo reaches a second term in office, the BLM will organize a region-wide strike against his corrupt, bloody, and terrorist regime. BLM will demand that the Obasanjo government resign.

If Obasanjo reaches a second term in office, BLM will reject any form of dialogue or compromise with the government.
