Only fools will fall for this last minute bolt-face by Obasanjo's government. Is it not the same government whose president in the person of Obasanjo just last month boasted in a BBC interactive programm that he "introduced Sharia Courts," and even went further to say that Sharia law was "legal?" Why cant people especially the Easterners get it that an Easterner (Kanu Agbabi) is being used by some Igbo haters to revive this Sharia flame? Why didn't the federal Government take a similar stand when this uncivilized and cruel law was introduced under the eyes of Bola Ige (a non Igbo) as Justice Minister?
Do not be surprised to see when this re-gased flame (Sharia) begins to claim its victims (who often than not have been Igbos/Easterners) then you will see people whom Lawyer Micheal Chukwu in the above link rightly described as "people who are cooking this pot of Sharia to scatter us one way or the other...because they think the bloodshed they have had is not enough" come out to shamelessly claim that Justice Minister Kanu (an Igbo) by his belated and ill-adviced letter caused the feared but likely blood-bath.
Also remember there is an upcoming election next year, which the incumbent President should he decided to re-run will lose flat. So why not start another north vs east war via the Sharia sword and use an Easterner as a front-man.
Indeed I couldn't agree less with this observer when he observed thus: "what the government is doing is like swapping horses in the middle of the river, because this is a stage when Sharia has taken a firm emotional grip on the hearts and minds of Muslims.'' No serious or fair government would wait for things to get that dangerous before she acts.
Lets hope that good muslims (mostly Northerners) and christians (mostly Easterners) read this evil plot correctly and avoid any lose of innocent lives.

Some time ago, Clement Ikpatt told us that there are no Igbos in Akwa Ibom State. Yet, when Obasanjo is looking to fill the miserly Igbo quota in government he goes to Akwa Ibom State. No problem with that as long Kanu Agabi considers himself Igbo in good times and bad.
The problem is that some of those morons with Igbo name claim that they are not Igbo. But when the backlash for his dumb memo comes, all Igbo will pay equally. No one will remember that he is from Akwa Ibom.
Sharia has not been reversed. Anyone operating under that assumption is an idiot. Why has Obusonjo said nothing? The cat got his tongue?

Onye, Only people with little or no knowledge of Nigeria's history like the Igbophobic Ikpatt can make such unsubstantive statements. For the information of the Ikpatts of this world, there are many people of Igbo descent in most part of eastern and near-Benue parts of Nigeria.
Infact, as a any Aroman or woman will tell you, the 'Epke n'Mboko' deity which most Aros belong to and ascribe to its principles actually originated from present day Akwa-Ibom. And uptil this day, whenever a member of that elite society dies, members from Akwa-Ibom and Cross Rivers states often attend the funeral and every rites are performed in the Arochukwu/Ohafia dialect of the Igbo language.
On the Sharia/Kanu issue, I doubt if when the worst comes to the crunch if the Minister will still remain a true Igbo as his name indicates, or if those who will turn their anger on innocent Igbos (as they often do) will remember that this guy DID NOT consult Igbo leaders or people before taking his senseless action.

What I can deduce from the map in this link is that those sharia states are not actually part of BiafraNigeria. They see themselves as Arabs first, Huasa-Fulanies second, Northerners third, and ......
They are the same people Gideon Okar, in his coup, bannished from BiafraNigeria.
For the Yorubas, they see themselves as Oduduwa first, western BiafraNigerians second, and BiafraNigerians only, during an Eagles football match, if Yekini etc are part of the team.
What do the Biafrans see themselves as? As the people who believe that BiafraNigeria has something to offer them? or as a people who must continue to want acceptability in a country when those who committed genocide against her in the name of "one BiafraNigeria" do not even believe in that nation?
What do we do as a people? Remain disillusioned that BiafraNigeria is real and not realizing its phantom existence? Must we continue to grumble or bash words of insaults on our own rather than shift the battle to the enemies?
What are Biafrans still doing in the North? This people have told us clearly that we a not same country. They have done that several times by killing you and instilling terror into you in their land. What else do you need them to do to show you this? Slaughter your wives and kids again? Biafrans wake up from you slumber and move home to build your nation. Now that the maps are being drawn by the others, you are reminded the need to have yours rekindled.
Let me point that movement of Biafrans home would be a good singnal for the Biafrans. It would begin to recapture your political significance and a signal for those who think they can hold everyone hostage in that BiafraNigeria.
Biafrans, when you get back to your homes, we can also establish our traditional and religious believes into our own criminal justice and hinge it on the constitution. That would be a good way to start decentralizing the jurisdiction of the central government afterall there has been a precedence.
Wake up Biafrans!! Leave the North O!! Go back home and there you can have your own law.

The new generation of Tiv people and other Middle Belt tribes of BN are literally up in arms against Arewa parasites. They are working silently towards realizing Orkar's dream. Over time, I believe there will be an eruption there. Like I noted yesterday, that WAR CRIMINAL and STOOGE, Gowon is just deceiving himself. Arewa is deceiving itself as well.

Only an Igbo man will do something so stupid. The President you work for has said that Sharia is legal, that he put Sharia in the Constitution. But you, as a stupid Igbo Attorney General will go out and say that Sharia is illegal. After Obasanjo uses that trick to gat the vote in Biafra, the North will remember the idiot Attorney General who said that Sharia was illegal. They will take it out on Igbo people living in the North.
