Igbondeewo,

I think the South-South i.e the minorities should fight that war themselves. They still do not believe in Biafra and dislike Igbos. They will never vote for Igbos in any National election in Nigeria no matter what and how bad the North marginalize(that word) and use them. Infact most of them have been denying that they are Igbos i.e the Ndokwas, Ikas, Ikweres, etc simply for economic and acceptability reasons plus shortsightedness. But we need to be talking to the minorities up North, in particular the people of the Old Benue/Plateau State. It is on record that if Igbos are ever to produce a President, these people will vote for an Igboman before they Vote for an Awusa or Yoruba man. Just go back to the so called second republic and see who else voted for the NPP enmass besides Igbos. The Odi people should fight that war solo. Audi 5000.

P.S. Although I don't give shout outs, amoo give one now to ya recent elevation. Way to go.

Ednut,

Your comment is noted, especially if it is well intended. Biafrans are Biafrans be they in South- East, South-South, South-West or Benue/Plateau. This website is a defender of Biafrans and all other oppressed peoples of BiafraNigeria.

South-South, I would not allow to fight on their own alone. They are Biafrans. Forget about a few people in that area that have been selling their own people for the sake of a few crumbs of cake on the floor. The majority of the people there now are even more militant in their pursuit of Biafra than you have never imagined. Do you know where I am from?

Ednut I hope you are not trying to deliberately destroy the "be your brothers keeper" phenomenon in Biafra. If so, you shall not succeed.

At the end, justice shall find its way in Biafra and in all other oppressed peoples in BiafraNigeria.

Igbondeewo,

No I am on this thread trying to point out the real political behavor of the minorities that surround the Igbo nation. I do not day dream. I am a realist. Igbondeewo, you wrote:

If only that is what they are in pursuit of, my brother and not resource control, them I am with them, not that I am against the SS controlling the Gold that God gave them, or the North their groundnut, and the West their cocoa farms. I just want the Igboman from the South East to be very careful and not get used or set up and dragged out where they will suffer for what they have no idea where it all originated from bearing in mind that today we hear that the Nzeogwus, Ifeajunas, the computer guy looking for a DNA (sorry forgot his name at the moment) and his Onitsha kingsmen i.e the Zik's, the Mbanefos are not Igbos. No wonder it was easy for Asika to vandalize whatever was set aside for the rehabilitation of East Central State while his Ube na eru. Again, if the crum seekers from the SS are all that we need to worry about and not the people that vandalized Igbo business in broad day light recently in a very busy PH street while the police and crowd stood by and watched, them I guess a political union might be possible, but then 2003 is only a few months from now.

Ednut/Tunde,

There are a lot of things you do not understand about Biafra and its people. A deliberate destructive mechine has been used by BiafraNigeria since the past 35 years to dis-unite the people of Biafra. The strategy included but not limited to caving Igbo people into different enclaves called states. Intimidation, Killings by the military, political isolation, and so on. For example; do you know that majority of Biafran men that died during the war were actually killed in the first 3 months after the war had ended? The Northern/Western Army seeing people appearing into the communities decided to execute them. I guess since they could not kill enough in the battle field.

Killings continued into the early 70s. Those that identified themselves as Igbos were deliberately, by your pa Awo, stripped of their earnings and only 20 pounds given while those that accepted to deny their Igbo identity were rewarded with positions in government.

All these were calculated to impoverish and subjugate Igbos who are a major force in BiafraNigeria. Destroying the Igbo force was a way to make the whole Biafra area a minority area since peharps, they would have thought, that the majority Igbo has been destroyed.

Time however is proving you all wrong. Biafrans who served BiafraNigeria against their people have now seen that they are used only to be dumped. Other forms of agitation to the implementation of the Aburi accord are now being sort in the form of resource control and true federalism. Your people now want to realize oduduwa republic through soverign national conmference.

South-South has always needed a group who could support them and take care of their interests. When the Igbos were apparently 'demobilized', and could no longer protect them, they then had to lean to the north. They have also tested the northern tyrany. Now the issue in BiafraNigeria is that south-south should have the right to control its resources and this is only obtainable in its totality when the sharia republic and its allies have been ousted. Be it as true federalism or call it what ever. south-south now realizes that she can part with the north, but will remain neigbours to Igbos.

I have only tried in a hurry to give you a piece of the ice berge. you can however continue to work against Biafra.

I do not want to remind you that so much divide yorubas in yoruba your land. Ife and the Modakeke people are and example. Others are Ibadan and Ekiti, Ijebu and the rest and so on. "Adiye funfun ko mora e lagba"

ndeewoo!!

Igbondeewo,

You have deliberatly decided to degenerate our debate when you not only changed my handle as a way of attracting cheap mass support from forum members but also wrote
quote:
Those that identified themselves as Igbos were deliberately, by your pa Awo, stripped of their earnings and only 20 pounds given while those that accepted to deny their Igbo identity were rewarded with positions in government.
and futher down,in an item to alienate more, you still wrote
quote:

Other forms of agitation to the implementation of the Aburi accord are now being sort in the form of resource control and true federalism. Your people now want to realize oduduwa republic through soverign national conmference.
Now while you are out seeking mass support on you side, and while you attempt to lecture us/me on Biafran History as you know it, (after all I am yoruba), you still totally ignored the political situation today between the Igbo and the SS people and the fact that the Igbo politically should align with the Benue/Plateau Christians which is the main gist of my imputations here.
If the reason that the SS people need the Igbos of South East is as you put it because South-South has always needed a group who could support them and take care of their interests. Then they only need the Igbo as long as the Igbos are nolonger 'demobilized'like you said
quote:
When the Igbos were apparently 'demobilized', and could no longer protect them, they then had to lean to the north.
I have to run.

Some in the so-called South-South want their own Republic

Response To Threats By Yakubu Gowon, President of
Northern Nigeria’s Arewa
-March 2002

Facing Reality of history in the North’s Threats
Each time Northern Nigerian big politicians or
AREWA meet, they issue threats to the South on
separation of the patchwork of tribes created for
colonial purposes and
given the name Nigeria. The
Northerners cannot perceive the fact that Nigeria was
not created by God..

They lived all through the colonial period doing
nothing at all to upset the colonial system. Now that
they have inherited Nigeria, they think that Nigeria
should continue for
ever as if it was created by God
or by its peoples like other countries such as the
U.S.A.. whose peoples met and decided to join up to
form a country to which they gave a name and a
constitution and then a language.

We must keep on reminding Northern
Nigerians about
these vital facts. To AREWA and others in the North,
the forced amalgamation was great. And since
independence it has contributed to make them very
lazy; always swanking about prodigally and spending
revenue from the South
shamelessly. This is why they
love Nigeria.

Let us make them know that it is the revenue from the
South that brought about the amalgamation that
cemented the patchwork of
tribal territories that is
called Nigeria. Let’s tell the Arewa people a little
bit of history. They may not always be lucky
to have the South remain
timid and disunited.

Northern Nigeria was originally owned by the Royal
Niger Company that traded in the Niger Delta after the
slave trade. When Great Britain decided to colonise
the area, they granted royal charter to the company
to take over and control the territories outside the
Oil Rivers Protectorate, the capital of which was
Calabar.. This area they later called Niger Coast
Protectorate and the capital was moved to Lagos.. The
Royal Niger company called its area ‘Niger
Territories.’ with capital at Lokoja.

Later, the company had dispute with
the French over
territories. Then the British government intervened
and settled the dispute.. The British Government then
took over the Niger Territories’ from the company and
made it a colony, thinking that it was viable. Soon
they found that it was not viable and the British Tax
payers were always
called upon to provide money for
administering it.

The British also found it difficult to get to the
Niger Territories except through the Niger Coast
Protectorate. During this time the Niger Coast
Protectorate was super
viable on account of trade. So
the British settled their own problem by joining or
amalgamating the Niger Coast Protectorate and the
Niger Territories and give both the name Nigeria. -
one North, the other South. This removed the burden on
the British tax payers. These acts were not by God.

As Awolowo lamented: “The amalgamation will ever
remain as the most painful injury a British
government inflicted on Southern Nigerians.” Today
many in Britain have
admitted that it was a grave
mistake ~ “In retrospect of 40 years, it is clear that
the amalgamation was a grave mistake which
has cost many lives ….”

Up to this day, the North still depend on the South.
This is disgraceful.
We challenge them to seek
separation like we do. In that case they can
continue their Sharia undisturbed
and undiluted on
account of Revenue allocation. God will never bless
Nigeria; because He does not like a country held by
force. Why can’t the North be proud enough to want to
be on their own, like us?

But whether they like it or not, we will separate
as
the permanent solution to all our drawback. God and
Justice are on our side. We lack only Unity.
We in the Niger Delta and Southern Nigeria must
struggle in order to give better lives to our own
future generations. This is the vital message which
Europeans have followed
for thousands of years making
them so great. And the editorial of the London Times
today; Good Friday reminds us all of this great
Sacrifice of Easter. May
God give us courage to
defeat Arewa’s satanic threats that spring from
injustice.
