Nd’Igbo and Taliban/Ngwati Clothing

Alhaji Adamu Ciroma, Minister of Finance and Galadima of Fika (left) and Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife Okwadike/Garkuwa of Fika and Political Adviser to the President during their turbaning ceremony at Potiskum, Yobe State... Saturday

How stupid can our people get. Chukwuemeka Ezeife is now the Garkuwa of Fika, whatever that means, and he is dressed like a Taliban. Why do our people still wear Taliban and Ngwati clothes?

I must confess that Ezeife looks the part with his ready-made goatee.

The only problem is that on another day in the same place and venue, his white goatee may be "mistaken" for the mane of a Sallah Ram and you know what that means.

Ezeife has shown underachieving Igbo governors how to fake relevance and make money.

After his kinsman Humphrey Nwosu arranged for him to become governor by unilaterally banning his opponent in an annuled primary, Ezeife spent a few months looking for kick-backs from Nnewi Industrialists. He didn't just perform until IBB finished with them.

Then Fresh civilian experiment in the horizon and Ezeife knowing "uncle" Humphrey ain't there to help had to pull one out from "Havard": He quickily scanned a few photographs of himself, goatee et al and slammed them on a few electric poles in lagos and Abuja and then went back to ammend his CV to include former civilian gorvernor of Anambra State and Presidential Aspirant, bla bla PhD havard... You see all the "presidential aspirants" are offered "something". Nwobodo was offered the Ambassadorial post to Germany, Ekwueme Senate presidency etc etc. I hope Udenwa and Mbadinuju are taking notes.

Presidential aspirant my foot!

That is one picture I would like to see in the "Halloween was here" thread. The funniest part of this is that some of those guys actually wear such trash to Ohanefulefu gatherings in Igboland.

Here is my full comments about the BiafraNigerian Agbada or whatever they call it. Why Ndi Igbo must dress in their own rather Yoruba or Hausa.

Any igbo man who abandones his distintive ethnic fashion is a fake. When it comes to the Hausa tadditional wear, my reaction is a shrug and simply one of amused contempt.

The Agbada or Yoruba attire is nothing but an ostentation of bed spreads and rags, very uncomfortable compared to the tradditional Igbo wear though modeled in French style but very distintive of the whole Eastern region. Why then should any Igbo man wear the Yoruba or Hausa fashion?
The Agbada/Yoruba is a form of urgliness so intolerable that I have to swear on any Igboman who wears them.

The Igbo wear is the great governor of our ethnic pride and remarkable sense of belonging. It presides not only in matters of dress and honor, but in our overall culture, and all other things of great kind. I have seen some Igbos swing themselves into this saddle of Agbada only to appear with less elegance, less style than an Igbo man with the tradditional attire whose sense of pride is bestowed in pride the beloved race.

It is absurd to suppose that wearing the Agbada makes one a Biafranigerian or business like. Shame on you Igbos who wear the Agbada/Yoruba attire with a sense of pride..Now you know who the efulefus are. The attire is a description of fools because it is an attire of another, fickle jad, only foolish Igbos will adore. The Agbada is the poorest trash.
Can you imagine Okonkwo[things fall Apart],a warrior addressing his soldiers in Agbada? That ought to open your eyes that something is wrong and stick to your blessed attire. That man above with white gootee is an example of what is wrong with some of us. You can tell, he looks very fake and bad taste written all over him.

Hail Biafra

Umu Biafra,

If this is what Harvard makes out of our folks, then my kids and other loved ones will always train at the University of Biafra.

After all, MKO Abiola once said: "Those who know the value of Education, train at the University of Biafra"

And a valued alumnus of the University of Biafra, Dr Pat Utomi also once said that: "the University of Biafra, is always first, and that the one next to it comes a distant second."

The reason why Ezeife defiled himself will be known soon.

But if he is thinking he has any political relevance in Igboland/Biafraland, he is having a nightmare. He must see a wizard like Obusonjo for a quick cure.

Could that be Ezeife really in that image? no wonder he has become obasanjo's point man recently, he had been jobless for a long time and he need to impress his new employers.this man is not credited with a single project in Anambra state for almost two years he was governor, his political survival is with that turban.

I guess a little balance and objectivity will help. IMHO, Ibos should be free to wear what they like but if you have a standard specification of what every Ibo should wear, then feel free to post here. Have you seen any Hausa Fulani berating Buhari and Babangida for wearing "nyamiri" costume? The picture speaks for itself:
