A letter published in Lagos based on the Guardian Newspaper dated 3-25-02 by Members of the ECHO Pioneers signed by Mr. L.O.T Andamson "No Vacancy for the Igbos in Lagos Politics"

No man wants to have his intelligence or tribal faith questioned especially if he has doubts about himself. The Yorubas has once more demonstrated their inability to compete both intellectually and economically with the Igbos in Lagos, fear of being dorminated and ran over by the industrious ones.

They are afraid to compete. To be a yellow belly or Yoruba in Biafranigeria is to possess a feeling of inferiority where the Igbos are present. Lagos as we all know was not the handiwork of the Yoruba race but Biafranigeria and now well invested by the Igbos. Every infrastructure in that filthy god forsaken state was built by the government money. Why then should the Yorubas attempt to ban the Igbos in Lagos from running for office? They are afraid the Igbos will take over. And that ought to tell you that the Yorubas will only function where the Igbos are absent. And the Igbos to stop investing in the West. Go East. Lagos state is so dirty because the Yorubas don't value hygiene and will rather filth and pee in the public than their homes.

Hail Biafra

Biafrans,

Our investigation on this issue has revealed the man behind all these anti-Igbo sentiments in Lagos.

It is none other than Rueben Abati, "journalist" and Chairman of Guardian Newspaper, Lagos.

This is his latest trick of continuing his Igbophobia campaign.

Before now, he has been using fictitious names to generate articles that facilitate the hatred of Nd'Igbo in Lagos, especially since they decided to fully contest the 2003 elections at gubernatorial and other levels.

Also, he generates articles to praise himself as being critical of Obusonjo's government.

His tricks are hereby exposed.

He is further destroying a reputation he does not have, never had in the journalism and the academic world. He is a charlatan, through and through!
