Yesterday, I visited a friend of mine who is a BNW regular. We started talking about BNW and some recent issues. We talked about all of you. Yes, you!
Then, the topic turned on some of the people that have not been heard from for many months. We thought about Wind, Kajethan O, Wacko, Chudi Sokie, Onyemaechi, bababoyz, Ranka Dede, Fumi, Keshi, and even some more recent absentees like Adamu, Ayodele, etc.
The thought crossed our mind that it would be interesting to have all those people reflect on BNW one-year later. Some of the people we thought about were banned recently. But, there is too much bad blood there for them to engage in sober reflection.
be careful what you wish for. The forum is better today than it was back in March. I have gone from thread to thread, and anyone can participate. That was not the case last March.
It is good to have everyone around. But, only everyone who wants everyone else.

No question, the forum is peaceful and much, much better without the evil lady.
But I do miss people like Wind, COLO, Vitalis, Adeolajide, Yara Wasa Bature, Ahmed, Gtorino, Chudi Sokie, Chima Njoku and according to COLO the "rest sibblings."
Like the wind, I have always been around browsing and reflecting on some of the issues raised on this and the other board. But I must confess, the weather in ROMland is soothing.
Thanks for the thought.

You are very funny. Every time people call you efulefu on this forum, I remember some old times from out egbeomo.com days, and I wish I could reproduce your posts. I am not sure what happened to you. I think you just like a good fight. Some people think you are an efulefu. I think you are alright. But, just watch it.

I thought that you and everyone else was free to apply for access to the closed forums? Do you Yoruba people allow non-Youraba to enter your forums?

I don’t mind about Yoruba bashing. What gulls me is the deliberate mischief of defacing maps of Africa and Nigeria by replacing “Nigeria” with “BiafraNigeria.” This dangerous message of disunity is subtly communicated at every opportunity. This is just one example

Will you quit your whining! You knew this forum was called BiafraNigeriaWorld. Yet you joined it. Did you join with the hope of changing the name?

Looma: ROMLAND means Read-Only-Mode-Land. It's a term coined by CSE at egbeomooduduwa.com in the days of fierce battle between the doves and the hawks?

Idowu I thank you have a lot more to worry about than the map. So stop whinning, Sharia is recking havoc in your neck of the wood and you are here complaining about Map. If I were you I will be more worried of been run over by awusa/fulani and the sharia than map of Biafranigeria. You read the name of this message board before you joined, you didn't complain then, so why are you whinning now.
I am inexplicably back! I am positive this thread you initiated did the miracle. Let it be known that I did not beg nor initiate the change of mind of the web site owner to rescind his/her suspension of my posting privilege. Although I appreciate the magnanimity of the change of mind to give me “another chance”, but I still fervently believe the earlier decision to suspend my privilege was ill advised and in bad taste.
Anyway, am back and don’t expect any change in the Nigerian in me.
Once again, thank you Leo. Reluctantly I will say thank you to the Oga patapata, but am not too sure if he deserves it.
Welcome back jare. Many people were banished from this forum. Then they made all the flags and maps of BiafraNigeria/Africa and put them all over the place.

Bababoyz: Though I am not so sure to welcome you (why must I?) or not. But be it on the know that you are no more Nigerian (practically speaking) than any other member of this board. When people see and feel neglected, used and abondoned like the Igbo race has been in Nigeria, you do not expect them to keep silent just because they come from that space called Nigeria. That is not being patriotic as some of you misunderstand patriotism to mean.
Just like in your first misadventure, we (personally speaking) will agree with you where I should; disagree with you where I ought and expose your pro-Obasanjo/Yoruba cum "nationalistic" propaganda where I must.
All, Please remember, this message board is BIAFRA-NIGERIA-WORLD MESSAGEBOARD. Like its accronym, it accomodates people with all the above views. So come and sell yours and allow others to do same-- it is that variation that sets this message board apart from its contemporaries.

Accepted that the massage board is for all,but anybody that dimmed it fit to castigate and call the back room illegal and even threatend to bring it to the public concience court as an entry or re-entry behavior most be paid back an equal coin. I do not belong to the back room but I support it.

Okwy, I actaully meant the "Great Forum" of this board.
Just like you, I wonder why people cannot just allow others to associate where, when and with whom they chose to with, like some Forumites did by starting the "Backroom" Forum.
My motto is: if I cannot beat them, join them. If I cannot join them (for reasons best known to me), I leave them. Unfortunately, it seems like some mischiefmakers want to have it both ways. I hope they realize before its too late their folly.

Many of those you mentioned are veterans of the battles of egbeomooduduwa.com. Many were hardcore Biafrans. I hope they have not gone to BiafraNigeria to contest elections. I would truly be disappointed.

I have a theory or should I say, speculate the whereabouts of all these guys you have asked for. And who probably don't a give a hoote about you guys.
I know how much each and everyone of you missed these guys. I missed them too. But one theory that you might want to brainstorm about is that the absence of these guys may have been the result of the jobless economy or infractions with the law. Some of these guys may have been laid off from work, lost their jobs and were forced to either pawn or sell their Personal computer to survive. Some are temporarily in Jail or waiting trail for domestic violence, typical of some Africans with machoristics mentality[wife beaters] or some have simply given up the time to visit the internet.
I was told that Folanke disappeared for 6 months only to reappear after she recovered from a bad relationship with one Eduche from Anambra state. She lost weight and paid a price for being too possesive and overly aggressive. Too bad she has gained all those weight back on. I know for sure that Bature who lives in a redneck town in Oklahoma was dismissed from the US army for battering his American wife possibly drained his pocket money. The divorce was pretty urgly according to the locals there. He lost everything including his PC. Whatever theory applies to you is probably the reason why these guys are absent. Your best bet is to pray for them for it is not easy being chizzy in America.
Hail biafra

PsychoMan, as in your profession, may I suggest that you leave jesting to TB and those gifted with comic.

Thanks for asking brother. I can't wait for the retuen of Thompson Buraimoh's Neighborhood. My schedule has been loaded, so I just check in to the forum and check out and I see that things are going well. After reading Waypoint1biafra's post, I thought I should make my presence known. The economy is bad, but I am managing to keep my computer and maintain my Internet access.

I know my name was not mentioned among the MIA's, but just in case, I'm still very much around and my computer has not failed me. I have been enjoying the fascinating and intelligent debates from every single member of this forum.

Don't worry. We are all around. Many people are one-issue Advocates; they only come out when their issue is under test. Some want to talk about Bakassi Peninsula, some want to talk about oil, some want to talk about sex, etc. You know how it is.
If you want to know that someone is around, all you have to do is say something nasty about that person or his issue. He or she will come out from ROM and throw a few cyber jabs at you. Everybody will clap and some will say "I couldn't have said it better." Then it's back to ROM till next time.
But, seriously, I have been told that some members of this forum have taken the battle to BiafraNigeria, and that explains their absence. Good to know that we are not just all talk.
Long Live Biafra.
