After studying the role that Obasanjo has played in the history of BiafraNigeria, I have come to the conclusion that Obasanjo is the most unpatriotic person in that country.
According to history, in 1976, following an abortive military coup by Buka Suka Dimka, Obasanjo became the dictator of BiafraNigeria. He claimed he was selected against his will. Then, out of power during the Abacha reign, Obasanjo took part in a coup plot against Abacha and was sent to jail.
In 1998, Alex Ekwueme laid the foundation for what became the PDP – BiafraNigeria’s ruling party. Again, out of nowhere – indeed out of jail, led by IBB, the evil hands of BiafraNigerian politics selected Obtusanjo to terrorize BiafraNigerians one more time.
Elections are coming again. This time, there was no one urging the Ota farmer to succeed himself. IBB seems to have a secret agenda of his own. No one initiated any campaigns for Obasanjo to succeed himself. This time Obtusanjo cannot say he was picked against his will. Thus, Obtusanjo concocted a desperate charade, which he says is from God.
Obasanjo’s attempt to drag God’s name into BiafraNigeria’s politics is the clearest sign yet that he is a selfish and unpatriotic man who does not have the interest of the country at heart. Obasanjo would rather be head of state for 11-years than give peace to the country.
Following the deaths of Abacha and Abiola, even the Hausa-Fulani realized that the country was about to be torn to pieces unless the presidency went to a Yoruba man. Forget all the nonsense about the South. We all knew that for the country to have peace, the presidency had to go to Abiola’s ethnic group. To make sure that a Yoruba would emerge as president, the only two candidates in the 1999 presidential election were Yoruba. The North did not field a candidate for the presidency. No Igbo ran for president in 1999.
Now, it is time for the presidency to go to the East, and Obasanjo has placed his greedy and selfish interests above that of the country. Why does Obasanjo want to continue to rule the country? He was maximum dictator from 1976-79. He has ruled as a virtual civilian/military dictator since 1999. It is time for Obasanjo to leave the stage and let power rotate to the East. The country will judge Obasanjo harshly if his selfish grab for power leads to disaster in 2003 and after.
The man in Aso Rock is unpatriotic.

Brother seun Not only that Obasanjo is unpatrothic he is also and opportunist. Check Obasanjo's record he has always taken advantage of somebody else hard work, not only he try to take advantage of it he always try to milk it for personal gain.
Take for a example his socalled achievement during the war by accepting Biafra surrender. Remember that Benjamin Adekunle did all the work at Owerri sector only to be replace by Obasanjo after all the work had been done, all Obasanjo did was a mop up work.
2) The coup that brought Obasanjo into fame light, Murtala planed and excuted the coup detat, only to die six months later, for Obasanjo to take the glory of handing over to a civilian governement, a program which Murtala initiated.
3) PDP: Obasanjo was in prison when Dr Ekwueme and others risks their lives under Abacha to form PDP, only to see Obasanjo come out of jail to hijack the party. Obasanjo also bite all the fingers that fed him in PDP from Sunday Awoniyi to Solomon Lar. Today Obasanjo is telling them to kiss his fat ass. People tried to insult Nelson Mandela by bringing OBasanjo's name around Nelson Mandela, to me that is the biggest insult to that Africa Hero and ICON. Obasanjo can't not even measure up to the shoe on Nelson Mandela's feet. Obasanjo is just like any other corrupt Nigeria Military leader, To me Obasanjo is worst than Abacha.

If you think Obasanjo is Unpatriotic, check out what he said recently about the SHARIA. Sharia is not a threat to Biafranigeria Unity.
The best the Yourbas' intelligence could offer for leadership. I once said, you don't have to be educatd to be a leader..damn I could be wrong. The supreme court rulling about oil and littoral states tells me that Obasanjo was not well briefed of the outcome. He was so fascinated with oil, Biafra, ethnic politics, pleasing his tribes men and the Federal government and was bamboozzled by Bola Ige. Ige is gone and he is now looking for political remedy to get a vote.
Hail Biafra

How soon do we forget selecting a bigot, a war criminal, a dictator, an imbecile and a flat out spinner to take over the affairs of state?
We must have ourselves to blame again if the bloodthirsty Obasanjo is reelected come 2003.

Ojoto, As long as we are concerned, obasanjo may rule his yoruba people but not Baifrans again. He has told the world that he is not interested in putting bread and oil on the common man's table but to hold NdiIgbo hostage, that is his job as a cursed president of a devilish setup, God in heaven, the ultimate judge will stop the evil man, his end may not be far away, he used GOD'S name in vain and he can never escape his wrath. I still remeber that Abacha was told that he will pay the ultimate price but he never accepted, he was busy with million man match before the Almighty stopped him. He will also stop a more evil obasanjo, a man whose hands is filled with the blood of innocent people, a man with no mercy to the suffering of more than a hundred million people, a man who is willing to unleash terror on a weak and defenceless people.

OKwyonwuka: You have not made any significant post since I have been reading the write-ups in this fora. All you've done is insult whoever disagrees with you and call your president, Olusegun Obadanjo, names. Enough is enough.

Okwy is free to express his opinion about the "President". If you remembered, President Clinton was castigated and pilloried daily by his detractors; non of them went to jail for it. Personally i did not think that name calling diminishes titans or gifted leaders who can rise to the challenge. Your protectionist stance reeks of a sub par leader for whom benefactors does their fighting.

Obasonjo Resorts to Violence and Intimidation
It appears that Obusonjo plans to use violence to scare BiafraNigerians into accepting him for a second term in Aso Rock
quote: (MSNBC) Governor Abdullahi Kure of Niger State, a member of Obasanjo's ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was unhurt in the attack at the party's headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
Witnesses said thugs, suspected of being loyalists of the president, rained rocks on Kure's convoy, smashing the windscreen of his official car as he left a party meeting.
''There was a rowdy behaviour involving hundreds of people as the governor's convoy left the party secretariat after a meeting yesterday,'' a senior official of the PDP told Reuters.
''Several vehicles were smashed but the governor was not hurt and he just managed to escape,'' said the official who asked not to be named.
It was not clear what triggered the attack, but it was the latest incident of mounting political violence as Africa's most populous country heads for its first nationwide elections since military rule ended in 1999.
Unrest has been on the upswing since Obasanjo declared in April that he would be seeking re-election for a second and final four-year term next year.
Kure is a vocal critic of the president and has publicly opposed Obasanjo's bid for re-election.
PARTY LACKS COHESION Political analysts say Obasanjo's party lacks cohesion because it is not driven by any ideology but was formed by politicians of divergent convictions for the sole purpose of winning power.
Cracks emerged soon after the party swept to power at the centre and in the states in 1999.
Poll-related violence is the latest headache for BiafraNigeria, which has been gripped by religious and ethnic clashes over the past three years. More than 10,000 people have been killed across the multi-ethnic country of over 120 million people.
Many BiafraNigerians are bracing for wider trouble because BiafraNigeria has not been able to organise violence-free elections under civilian authorities since independence from Britain in 1960.
Attempts to transfer power from one elected government to another foundered in the mid-1960s and in 1983, leading to military coups in each instance.
Successful elections in 1979 and 1999 were both supervised by the military before they relinquished power.
An early test for BiafraNigeria comes on August 10 when municipal council polls are scheduled nationwide.
On May 29, Obasanjo marked three years of democratic rule with a chilling warning over looming anarchy and ''pervasive violence'' around the forthcoming elections.
