I hope Ndigbo politicians are ready to do battle with anybody that beings stuff to our area in Nigeria.

Story.
Politicians import arms, ammunition for 2003!
Dele Aderibigbe, Lagos
SMUGGLING of heavy arms and ammunition into Abuja and some Northern states have been uncovered by security agencies.

The arms and ammunition smuggling, according to reports currently with the Presidency and the police high command, are said to be with the connivance of some politicians.

The Nigerian Tribune learnt that the report stated that the smugglers were using “luxurious” buses and bullion vans to perpetrate the illegal acts.

It is further gathered that the arms are being purchased by unscrupulous politicians who may likely cause trouble during the forthcoming elections.

It also advised relevant authorities not only to be alert, but also to swing into action towards recovering these arms and arresting the perpetrators.

Police authorities have reportedly mandated the Federal Highway Patrol and other policemen on Operation Fire-For-Fire in all states to intensify proper searching of all vehicles, particularly luxurious buses and bullion vans, stressing the need to ensure that every successful arrest recorded in this direction must be confidentially channelled only to the appropriate quarters.

Though efforts to confirm the story with the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Haz Iwendi, were futile as the officer was not available, the Lagos State Police Command image maker, Mr. Victor Chilaka, said he was aware of the development.

Folks,
This could be the begining of the end. Might turn out to be a blessing for everyone that has been in this mess called Nigeria for the past forty years.

The problem I have with the Ngwati press is their unwarranted, unjustified and heartless anti-Igbo habits. They always try to paint Igbo darker than night even when there is absolutely no reason to do so. That is why I view all the usual noise about hand shake across the river with huge suspicion. If their elders are keen on a hand shake, then it is only fair that they call their lads and lassies to order. On the other hand, if they think they can take on the Igbo, then they should be man enough and come out and fight. I'm sick off all these hid and seek. What the heck has "Luxurious" bus got to do with a negative news as the illegal importation of arms?

~~What is the embarkation point of the North-bound luxury buses?

~~ Was it luxurious buses that ran over Ige or did a luxurious bus convey the murder weapon?

~~ Was it luxurious buses that prompted the Ekiti/Ondo house of assembly to build bullet-proof houses for themselves?

~~ Are the Yoruba criminals who routinely waylay luxurious buses kill the Igbo commuters because they(the Igbo) have illegal arms on them?

~~ What became of the $5M worth of arms smuggled through Apapa from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan?
