Part of the reason their blinded country will never recover from its path to oblivion is too many dummies parade about as Professors they never earned.
quote:
Take for example this real life problem: Why are there so many Nigerian professors and educated persons when Nigeria ranks so low on human development? Professors Omo Omoruiyi, Aluko et al come to mind. Before internet became such a huge thing, I am sure many thought they belonged to the same class of professors as Achebe or Soyinka who have creativity in them. Now, we know differently. - CSE

NO HARD FEELINGS THOUGH. – Nwa Aro
If there’s indeed no “hard feelings,” why this unfortunate and sad statement below any Igbo will ever make?

quote:
So on this note, I WISH TO USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO APPEAL TO EVERYONE TO STOP ANY FORMAL OR INFORMAL COMUNICATION WITH ME AND TO DISASOCIATE MY NAME FROM ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH BIAFRA AND ITS ACTUALIZATION. – Nwa Aro
What a sad utterance!!! I am sorely appalled that a son of the soil would categorically wish to be removed from the emancipation of his kith and kin based on some misunderstandings with imaginary enemies. Something he initiated to begin with. People should be aware that tons of their innermost behavior is left with each nonsensical abrasive post out in public domain.

MeBiafra,

Nwa Aro was a case of a drowning man that wished every one will get drowned with him.

All:

Despite the things I said recently when I wrote to Nwa Aro, I believe he is an honest man and a christian. I will never believe he embezelled anything from anyone. He honestly believed that there were still extant unrevealed irregularities in certain fundraising activities but didn't have any real proof of same. I believe he simply embellished his story to give credence to his charges; an unfortunate event, and a classic of case of 'pump priming.' Sadly for him the well was dry.

And yet when I read the archives and many of Nwa Aro's writings(other than fundraising), I realize that he did in fact add exceptional balance to this forum such that I could even call him a visionary as it regards Biafran actualization... and I think, that IS something worthy of praise. Altogether, his absence will be a loss to that effort.

Is this what scientists mean by law of Karma?

quote:
Awo and Yoruba intellectuals advised Gowon in 1970 to put Armed Robbery & Firearms Decree, because they feared ex-Biafra soldiers who are unemployed would engage in armed robbery. Eventually, Aluko your brothers of Babatunde Folorunsho (aka WONYOSI MAN) was the first to be executed at Bar Beach in 1971, followed by your another brother Dr. Ishola Oyenusi (aka One man One bullet for police) – Chuks Agwunobi - naijapolitics, Mon, 3 Jan 2005 09:21:42

How can light(Christianity) co-exist with darkness(Islam) without such an arrangement completely falling apart?

Biafra,

I know you will like this so while I clear my throat you do the honor.

quote:
Prosecute Balogun, Withdraw National Award -CNPP From Chuks Okocha in Abuja, 01.20.2005

Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), has called on the Federal Government to withdraw the national honour of Commander of the Federal Republic given to former Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun, to show Nigerians its seriousness over the anti-corruption campaign.

The coalition said in view of the revelations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which indicted Balogun , his resignation should be converted to outright dismissal.
CNPP's Secretary, Mr Maxi Okwu, said in a statement that "unless this is done, the entire anti corruption campaigns of the Federal Government will be rubbished and brought to public contempt.

"That the EFCC has come to say that Tafa Balogun resigned because of the commission's report, is enough for him to be sacked, instead of the so-called negotiated retirement. “The whole thing is a farce. He should be prosecuted to serve as deterrent to other corrupt officers in government. In our view, Balogun will go down in history as the worst Inspector General of Police, breaking the record of infamy by Chief Sunday Adew-usi's kill-and-go regime," CNPP said.

In a letter to the new Police boss, Mr Sunday Ehindero, CNPP reminded the Acting Inspector General of Police of the need to respect the nation's constitution and his responsibility to its citizens. "We concede that at all times, your loyalty and respect for the government of the day must never be in doubt.

In addition to this, your ultimate responsibility is to the people, and strict compliance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. "Governments come and go, but Nigeria and its people shall outlive any one administration or regime," CNPP said.

MeBiafra:

Why withdraw the National Award? Those with such award are those with tainted and corrupt laden history. The likes of Achebe rejected an Award by a tainted regime.

If people like IBB, OBJ, Anenih etc. can recieve a national award; Tafa might as well keep his, even if he is evetually tried, found guilty and in jail(dream).

CNPP should start looking within itself for people of Tafa and OBJ qualities. Let them not try to decieve us cos we know what stuff they all are made of.

I don't think the surface is sratched yet, this man was an armed robber pure and simple. The sad thing is that Obasanjo brought him there to do just that.
