I have no doubt that the West is fully aware that this Islamic barbarity exists only in the Hausa-Fulani part of that contraption called BiafraNigeria. They had no problem identifying Bakassi as an Igbo group when they saw that the efficiency of Bakassi could start spreading to Port Harcourt, too close for the comfort of the oil companies. So, what seems to be the problem in referring to Sharia as the Hausa-Fulani malady that it is? Even now that the Miss World contest is scheduled to take place in the periphery of Hausa-Fulani Sharia-land, the West still writes as if it is unaware that Biafra has nothing to do with the Sharia obscenity that Obasanjo and his Islamic fundamentalist masters foisted on Northern BiafraNigerians since 1999.

What is totally appalling to me is that the Organizers of the Miss World beauty pageant would even allow a barbaric contraption like Nigeria to host a Miss World contest in the first place!!
Of all the places to choose in West Africa, or Africa, or the World!!
Does'nt it just go to show how morally bankrupt the so-called First world can be when supporting their stooges?
I guess the moral is:

1. Does she understand all these attention given to her since the language of compassion is not Hausa or is she plain all dumb like others not to capitalize on this fame and fortune and campaign against her death.
2. A convicted political felon whose faith is death will soon become her and with all the world focus of attention, why would anybody in her right mind go back to Nigeria having the largest opportunistic chance to seek for asylum on the grounds of mental political cruelty? The Proposed Miss World Contest: Our Stand!
We observed with serious dismay and disappointment, the decision of Nigerian Government to host Miss World. It’s our heartfelt believe, that the proposed contest will only promote immorality and cultural decadence. A scenario where women are portrayed as objects of desire, revealing their flesh in various States of undress, sitting, standing, squatting, lying, etc, watched by prurient men, on or off (via NTA coverage) the stage is totally contrary to our national culture, values and religion.
The trend is even more disturbing, from the "normal" beauty contest. In November 1999 South Africa and Zimbabwe host the gay beauty contests. In June 2001 UK played host to the first Miss Nude UK, where the contestants were completely naked throughout the competition. The trend in Beauty contest only points to all sorts of vulgar attitudes, homosexual, pornography, lewdness dissemination, etc. If Nigeria host Miss World today, who knows tomorrow it may be Miss Nude or gay God forbid. Whether it is during the holy month of Ramadan or not to stage a contest that shows the participants clad in skimpy bikinis, swimsuits and bathing costumes i.e. exposing their feminine features such as bosoms, legs, breasts, and hips etc is totally unacceptable to us.
It’s important to observe that on one hand there exist many Qur’anic and Biblical verses that prevent any social order which clearly promotes irresponsible, disorderly and evil behaviour, no matter how attractive or enticing (materially or otherwise) it may seem (or even be). On another, even the UNGA resolution GA/RES/53/22 of 4th November, 1998 corroborated by the resolution 54/113 of February, 2000, enjoined dialogue with local cultures before an alien social order is imported avoiding a situation whereby secular social "development" order contradicts local culture and religion.
In view of the above we wish to state categorically that:
We vehemently oppose Nigeria hosting the contest.
We ask the federal government to immediately rescind its decision to host the devilish events.
We also urge the embassies of participating nations to warn their citizenry to refrain from coming to Nigeria, as the general sentiment is strongly against the events and thus their security is at great risk.

I think it is a little insensitive to hold the pageant in the North. But the warning from the muslims sounds like a terrorist threat. Why can't they move the pageant to Lagos or some other part of Nigeria?

Chairman of the outlawed Arewa People Congress (APC) and notable traditional leader in the North, Alhaji Sagir Mohammed, has described the statement credited to the Nasarawa State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, that God had spoken to President Olusegun Obasanjo endorsing his candidature was "blasphemous."
Reacting to the speech by Adamu during the recent presidential visit to Nasarawa state, Mohammed in a telephone interview, said that "as a Muslim, Adamu knows that God does not speak to people directly, not even prophets," but "Speaks only through a veil."
"How could He have spoken to Obasanjo?" Mohammed queried, pointing out "what Adamu has done is high blasphemy."

Quoting chapter 42, verse 51 of the Holy Qur'an to back his argument, Mohammed, who is the Waziri of Ringim, explained that there was never an instance, where God spoke directly with any mortal.
He said the statement credited to Adamu sounded incredible, noting that he had expected a prompt denial because of its grave implication for a Muslim.
Adamu was reported to had said that Almighty Allah has endorsed Obasanjo for a second term in office in 2003.He spoke at a dinner in honour of the visiting Obasanjo in Lafia.
"God has Himself endorsed our argument when the President was not sure, which way to go. He (Obasanjo) asked God and God said to him 'go ahead'. We fully support his decision to seek second term in office because we believe it is good for the system and for the country," Adamu reportedly said.
