Biafra Foundation, Ekwenche Organization, Biafra Liberation Movement
There will be demonstrations at the Nigerian Embassy, in Washington, DC this Saturday, December 7, 2002 and Wednesday afternoon, December 11, 2002. The demonstrations will last from 1:00pm through 4:00pm.
Nigerian Embassy is located at Twenty - Second and M Streets, NW, Washington DC.
This emergency call is partly connected to the recent killings of Easterners in the Northern Nigeria Muslim enclave.
If you are Igbo or other Biafran and deeply concerned and aware of what is going on at home, we challenge you to sacrifice this time to attend these crucial demonstrations.
The Wednesday weekday demonstration is also important to attract the maximum Press coverage we highly deserve. If you are unable to come out this Saturday, please attend the Wednesday afternoon rally with your friends and well-wishers. At best, come out on both days to air your voice concerning our people.
Individuals, groups, unions, and associations all over Washington, DC metro are all welcome. Pick up your telephone and contact the secretary of your organization and demands that every member be present on both days to tell the world about our plight in a country in which we have no say.
Igbo and other Biafrans are sick and tired of the imposition of Sharia laws on us. We are sick and tired of being the sacrificial lambs of the Hausa/Fulani jihadists and of being killed over any little irritation. We are sick and tired of not being protected by the Yoruba/Obasanjo administration. Obasanjo is a man who is rather quick to respond harshly when any Igbo opens his mouth to complain about injustice; a man who designed a master plan with his Hausa/Fulani coalition to continue the marginalization of Nd’Igbo, a man who has banned the only visible group (Bakkasi Boys) that has helped to reduce the armed raids on Igbo lives and properties, yet allows the terrorist Yoruba OPC group to thrive; a man who has imprisoned many Igbo/Biafrans without trial for demanding to be free – many of these people have died while in prison; a man who feels he conquered Nd’Igbo, and therefore should be treated at such. WE ARE SIMPLY SICK AND TIRED!
We must rise up to tell the world our story. Our oppressors are organized. They have been taking advantage of our divided minds. The old adage still stands that: “if you do not say here I am, no one would say there you are.” We have homes before these homes here. Western homes are not enough. Our people are suffering immensely. They have no voice in a country and administration that is ready to kill and maim them with any little provocation. We must be their collective voice here in self-exile. We must rally and educate the world about our plight. We are peace-loving people. We have chosen the path of peace to tell everyone who cares to listen. Our CHUKWU is our witness. The time is now. God bless you and yours.
This call is a collective effort of all people and groups in Diaspora who are agitating for the freedom of Igbo/Biafra nation.
It may be necessary at alater date to do one in every city where Igbo and Biafrans reside, to drive the point home and gain maximum pulicity peacefully, but without overplanning it like you guys in DC have shown by example.

It is pathetic that at this time of call to action, all you guys are promising to be there in spirit. What kind of yeye spirit is that!
If you can talk all the talk on this forum and be loud about it, and cannot walk the walk, or make a sacrifice to be at the venue of the action, then you should just pack your bag and get out of town.
You do not need to grow wings, there are wings you can fly on, and that is why you have "Something special in the air with more leg rooms"

Bababoyz Adewusi Don't worry your little head, BLM have worked hard to put the rally together, so we don't need enemies of Biafra like you giving us lecture on to action.
Are you going to the march? After all, it was you Yoruba people that stood to benefit the most from Miss World. Stella Obasanjo had millions of dollars riding on it.

I agree with bababoyz. Being there in spirit is not enough. The day another Biafra war breaks out, some of you will be there in spirit only.
The real problem with today's march is that the announcement came too late. There was not enough time for people to prepare to attend. If there was to be an "emergency march," it should have been done the morning after the killings. What is worth doing is worth doing well.
If I had a week's notice, I would have been there. I hope that many Biafrans gor there. If you go, make sure you carry the Biafran Flag and wave it until Jubril Aminu turns blue in the face.

Odester: I am with you, people should be there in body and blood, that is the way to go about freedom, to the contrary is like those ochopassenger who never realy travel but will paint you the picture of your destination, people should be there even if it amounts traveling a long distance. Yes, we demostrated today in Chile, they heard us both adult and children waving the wonderful Biafran flag, I remembered a little Biafran kid asking me (esta es nustra bandera¿)something she was realy proud of, I am indeed proud to be a Biafran.
