Forumites,
What have you guys to say of the SHOW OF SHAME the Abacha boys put up in Enugu yesterday in the disguise of "relaunching" Obasanjo's 2003 electioneering campaign?

http://www.thisdayonline.com/news/2002120news01.html

My take before and after reading the holding of the said "rally" is that Abacha will be smiling in his grave that afteral he left a script that those who want to follow his IGNORABLE demise MUST read, copy and impliment.

One do not need to be a genius to know that this "rally" which was organized by the likes of Iwuanyawu and co who were also instrumental to the Abacha "one million march" must have been planned to further provoke the Igbos into violence, just a weeknight after the Kaduna mayhem that claimed over 200 lives, most of them Igbos.

I am glad that though some true Igbos protested this show of shame, however, like the CIVILIZED people that we are, they did not allow themselves or Igboland to be used as a battle ground after the Yorubas have told those who care to listen that "Yorubaland will not be used as battle ground."

By showing RESTRAIN in face of calculated attempt to rope them in, the peace-loving people of Igboland have once again shown how truly CIVILZED PEOPOLE should and ought to behave
Moreover, it shows that the new generation Igbos are AHEAD OF THE GAME!!

What's your take?

So much for the Igbo prsidency! Four out of five of the Ndigbo governors were there and with affront, it took place in the heart of Ndigboville.

Remember this:

The clear inference to be drawn from these glaring examples of the inherent characteristics of our three principal ethnic groups is that the Yoruba man will die for principle, the Igbo man will die for money, and the Hausa man will die for religion.

Intelligent inference indeed.

which Principal the yoruba man will die for, you forget the part whwere your dad IG Adewusi stole money and sold his soul to hausa. What principal the same Yoruba that rejected Obasanjo only to embrace him after he won. Yoruba die for Principal my foot. The same yoruba who will run at every chance for a fight, which Principal are you talking about. The same principle that made Paul Diya cried when he was caught.

Babyboyze and Bamidele, sometimes I wonder if your thinking is a reflection of your lack of nurturing, motherly love [breast feeding] . I would think that you and Bamidele should be able to differentiate between party loyalty and Obasanjo. Somebody gotta welcome him to save a face.

Fellow Africans:

Thank you for admitting me to this magnificent forum. I believe we are all one wether you are Ibo, Yoruba, hausa or Ijaw. What we should be fighting for is the emancipation of Africa as outlined by Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu(RIP).

I am not happy when people like the Yoruba bababoyz paints the whole Ibo race in a dark colour. This is what my fellow Mid-westerner said about the Yoruba at Nigeriaworld where I have a coluumn.

quote:
Have you ever read of what people think of the Yoruba person? I was amazed by the lamentation of Chief Anthony Enahoro recently at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) London. He lamented

That the Yorubas don’t like to finish their struggle.

Chief Enahoro was generous in his characterization of the Yoruba. Did the Yoruba ever commence a struggle in the past? Do they believe in a struggle at all?

The Yorubas do not believe in "a protracted struggle" for a cause from what I knew of them in the past, especially during 1993 episode. It would appear that other groups in Nigeria hold this view except Chief MKO Abiola. Chief Abiola believed in his people that they would act and make the country ungovernable until he was installed. Of course, they failed Chief MKO Abiola. I knew how he felt about some well-known Yoruba leaders when he sat on my hospital bed in London in March 1994. You can still read my tribute to him where I recalled this incidence in Saturday Punch July 25, 1998 captioned "Secrets Abiola told Me: How IBB, Dasuki, US Betrayed Him".

The Yoruba leaders had the opportunity between June and August 1993 to enforce the democratic rights of Nigerians and the mandate of Chief MKO Abiola, if they applied non-violent struggle to the demand. What stopped them? It was not the military. What stopped them was their lack of gut and commitment to a protracted struggle for a cause.

That does not read like principle to me.

But I disagree with Mr "hail Biafra" about the Ibo governors. Those governors should know when to draw the line between party loyalty and the welfare of their citizens. Some of them are owing their workers many months of salary and throwing a party for recycled despot is not reflective of the mood in Onitsha market.

Let us save what can be saved in Nigeria!

Have a nice day!

If there is anybody whose thinking faculty is malfunctioning, it is you Mr. Waybpoint1Biafra. How does SOMEBODY turn to 500,000 people? What happened to presidency of Igbo extraction if 4 out 5 of Igbo governors turned out to welcome “their hero” with this mammoth crowd? How did the crowd got there? Were they conscripted like the Biafran army or someone greases their palm to show up?

One of the prevailing problems with people like you on this board is you lack debating ability, and whenever you are caught with your pants down; you resort to personal attack like your cousin, Biafra.

You are doing much damage to this forum because most of you have successfully turned it to ATTACKING FORUM instead of DISCUSSION WITH DIVERSE OPINION FORUM. One thing am sure about is majority of people like you, and the ChiFatBiafranboys of this board are doing more damage to the Igbo cause than helping it. A non Nigerian visitor to this board asked me WHY ARE THOSE FAKE IGBO BOYS there so embroiled in their hatred and disdain for others? Do they know anything about COLLECTIVE BARGAIN?

Go figure baby!

First, I must welcome you to this great board.
It pleases me a great deal whenever I read from our bros & sis from the other side of the Niger WHO BELONG and want to belong.
For your information, this place can be nasty, I mean really nasty sometimes, but do not be scared to say your mind as CLEAR as you wish.

However, not to be impolite, I grave your indulgence to add 'G' to your "Ibo" to make it read IGBO. You know some people log here to learn, so it is the duty of we Igbos to always spell our tribe's language and name correctly.

Once again, welcome on board the FREEDOM TRAIN!

Other than showing their so-called allegience to party, anyone who has been following the affairs of Imo, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi States since the respective governors of the said States came to power need not be told that they (like Obasanjo) were in Enugu to cover up their MISRULE of their respective states since 1999.
Just as Orji Kalu who cleverly avoided the "rally" asked yesterday: "if they (the four governors) know they have done a good job, what are they afraid of?"

Bababoyz:
Though I have taken time to point out the overdrive of some Igbo members on board, I think you non Igbos and non comitants to what most here believe in should try as much as possible to sell your "united" Nigeria in a way that it will also make sense to those "non Nigerians."

Saying that the Yorubaman is the only "principled" Nigerian vis-a vis others is just as TASTLESS as what you complain about. IT DOESN'T SELL YOU AS A GOOD NIGERIAN EITHER.
In an effort to clean the stable, We should try as much as possible not to dirty the floor.

Let's all return to the issues please.

First of all, I would like to welcome you to this magnificent forum of which I believe you've been reading the fascinating topics and stories for quite a long time now before you made up your mind to join.

On the other hand, I would like to know if you intentionally Spell Igbo the way you did or you are just playing games. I think some member elsewhere corrected that. If you are doing it on purpose, please, cease and desist as there is no such word as "Ibo." It doesn't exist.

Back to the topic,
I have no problems with Obasanjo coming to Igbo land to start his campaign for reselection,it is even good for him to come and see what is left of the then burbling city of Onitsha. afterall, Obasanjo is still the president of Biafranigeria, my problem is " what has he done for NdiIgbo on the cause of his three and half years Presidency" to choose Igboland as his starting point if not only to provoc violence with another round of hate outboursts that whould have followed. it's left for NdiIgbo to chose whom to vote for in 2003 elections, Agian, those governors and his cabinet ministers of Igbo extraction that brougth him to Igbo land are not different from him, they are bunch of failures to say the truth.

Babz,

I feel your pain as it regards the firmness and immobility of our positions here in this forum. It took us a long time to get here. The forum therefore is a forum with a mission not just "diverse" for the sake of diversity.

Why are you so eager to help us achieve this our cause sef?

There is nothing wrong with your reading from the sidelines and observing what we fools are saying here, and every now and then chip in to remind us that we are going nowhere. Why is that not enough for you?

Why must you choose to be both an enemy and our best friend at the same time, and feel chagrined or left out when we talk about matters only we can understand?

Ki o shora e O aburo! t'abi egbon ni?

Now to the issue at hand, do you know how many Yoruba faithfully carried out Abachas orders and were at his feet to kiss his toes with each step? do you know how many knee pads were sold in Yorubaland for asss kissing purposes? do you know how many Yoruba got rich from doing these things? do you know that most of the triggermen that killed your heroes like pa Rewane, Kudirat Abiola, and so on were in cahoots with Yoruba snitches who in some cases commited the crimes for their Awusa master themselves? didnt you feel immense shame as the Oputa panel went on? what soap in the world can wash away that kind of shame? How many Yoruba bigwigs were busy campaigning for Abacha lifeterm election and positioning themselves for juicy appointments? How do you think Obasanjo is where he is today? bravery? and why do you think he never had real Yoruba following until he had to practically buy his people over with ministerships? but you know the saying "what goes around comes around" AKA "no condition is permanent in this world" Obasanjo should know that those ministerships wont last, and that is the long term planning you celebrate? after what you guys went through at Abachas hands? you settle for peanuts?.

The Yoruba will cry when Awusa come back and they find that they've been had once again, by the blinding lust for a cheap ministerial post and a couple more titles and young concubines.

Lets not go too much further. We have our own efulefu and we do not hesitate to mention them by name here. Iwuanyanwu may facilitate 500,000 man march for Obasanjo today along with his cohorts in crime AKA "Igbo governors" for 25 pieces of silver, they may even mobilize the Western press to spinoff some alarmist articles about Eastern youths threatening the peace in order to give the police a shoot to kill order as a deterrent for peaceful marches to counter their 500,000 man arrangement, they may even mobilize "Igbo youths", just like Anenih mobilized praise singers for Abacha (and in fact I see his hand in all the machinations I mentioned above) but you of all people Babz should know that all that is Naija magic of which only the daft should boast.

Anenih may next be using it on you and your NADECO again. So in response to your premature jubilation with Bamidele at Obasanjo's "Enugu feat" Shouldn't we wait to see what happens when "the come are come to become"?. HaHaHa! (to borrow a phrase)

Nwa Asaba,

Let me wecome you again to Biafranigeria World my brother. I hope you come with an open mind to give and recieve alike.

We all come with formed opinions which enrich the quality of the debates we enjoy with one another, however do not be personally offended when an idea you espouse is taken upon and shredded to pieces in your very before, by people who dont know you or for that matter dislike you.

There are Two major areas that are no go areas that a new member needs to watch out for.

1. Attacking other individual members personally either directly or obliquely without provocation.

2. Attacking what people stand for (attacking groups of members) without sufficiently arming yourself with research and analysis.

It may be more prudent to attack peoples ideas instead and also to attack the ideas behind what people stand for. That way you'll be prepared for the rigorous debate of ideas which you'll recieve instead of confused by the unending return of personal insults such as trails Bababoyz thread by thread like a bad fart.

Contrary to what Bababoyz or others will tell you about this forum being non "diverse", be rest assured that there is no other like it where Igbos, Efiks, Ibibios, Annangs, Ijaws,Idomas, Yorubas, Binis, Awusas, Tivs have the unhindered opportunity to voice their opinions, and engage in the exchange of ideas which oftentimes may seem extremely radicaaal!! to the tender ears of typical "One Nigerianas", and believe me, there are those out there like Babz (bless his heart, I dont mean to use him as example)whose main escape when they run out of ideas is to start insulting or booing only to morph into your best "liberal" ally to your cause in another thread that affects his interests more directly.

The two main things that are absent in this forum are

1. Personal threats i.e against persons

2. Or threats against groups

These are rightly viewed as terrorism and lawlessness, so there are some parameters just like in any law abiding society and these parameters are meant for the protection of all shades of people and opinions and is guarded fiercly by all.

I just thought to let you know. Am not sure how it is at the Nigeriaworld (which you'll here many ex members now on this forum refer to as "Egbeomooduduwa.com") but this is the briefest study of the terrain that any new member should have in order not to feel ambushed like Babz sometimes feels.

Now to the main purpose of my writing; This Nzeogwu Nzeogwu who you're always talking about, who is he and what did he do or say that we should know about or take to heart?

Please don't give me an answer on this thread of NwaAro's, rather, open up a new thread let us discuss your position in detail.

My people,
As this "feat" is being analysed and the jix broken, the TRUTH of what took place last Saturday is getting more CLEARER.

From Iwuanyawu's estimate of "1.5 million supporters" to Governor Nnamani's "500,000," the actual figure from eye witnesses is that it doesn't exceed 50,000 RENTED CROWD (they were PAID and ferried from the villages) at the 30,000-capacity Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium.

As the link below shows, most people in "Ndigbovile" were UNMINDFUL of the SHOW OF SHAME the Abacha boys put up for the Igbo hater from Otta in the city.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/articles/2002/politics/p411122002.html

If anyone is, yours truly is not surprised because when you add Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, Arthur Nzeribe and Tony Anenih together what you get is ABACHA and FRAUD. That was what happened in Enugu last Saturday. And some who enjoy the decency of the west call that a "feat!"

Now the "non Nigerians" know who the REAL bad guys on this board are.

If being proud and defending the interests of your people is a taboo in your "Ibo" world, it is a PRIDE in mine.

For the records, the Chairman of APGA Chekwas Okorie not long ago said that Ojo Maduekwe would have been a good candidate to be "sold" to slavery. And in hindsight, the man was right.

With the madness going on there, every IGBO need not convincing that Igboland will only know peace when the Iwuanyawus, the Nzeribes, the Chikwes, and the Ojo Maduekwes are shipped may be to your "Ibo" country.

Unlike Egbeomoduduwa.com alias Nigeriaworld.com this board (which you described in unprintable names in your first entry) IS NOT a place for BRAINWASHED people like you to recruit candidates or to brainwash the likes of Nwa Aro.

If I may ask, what actually sent you on "exile" to this board? Is it not that no one there wants your "rubbish" any more?

Nwanna don't waste too many words on the Ibo "Nwa Asaba". I think his mission here should be clear to all. You know how some people like to say there are "Ibo" not Igbo and before you know it they begin the east west divide in ala Igbo.True Asaba men don't joke with their culture go ask Sunny Odogwu or Emma Okocha. Even professor Edozien harrased the murderer Gowon only two days ago over the Asaba massacre.

I hope Nwa Asaba realizes that there are people here who don't share his views on one Nigeria. Nigeria is dead and we are going to bury the stinking carcass very deep. Those who do not like the alternative will be left with only the choice of accepting slavery in the hands of the North with the accompanying chaos and intolerence. Biafra lives .

You must be very ignorant to compare slavery to partisan politics as it unfolds. Slavery is like other crimes that was committed against mankind, and it's the atonement over the years that people like you and other bigots would not be allowed to self-destruct as a result of denying your heritage.

Iwuanyanwu is playing politics which is quite understood, thus his political right and the right to choose whatever platform suits him.

For an Igbo sellout of your ilk, it is frightening that you still do not know where you are heading to with your saddening and tragic "Igbo" heritage. Good luck!

Before we waste our energy, are we sure that Nwa Asaba is real from Asaba, there so many proud Igbos from Asaba who will not waste time to acknowledge the Igbo heritage. I have watched this socalled Nwa Asaba since he came here, throught that period I have suspected that he is not who he claims to be.

Sir, can you point us to that Igbo dictionary that you speak of. Guys, you are the ones picking a fight with Nwa Asaba. The man has not said any negative thing about anybody here but just like always, you guys are already PMing each other and think tanking at Ikenga on how to ostracize him. These are all non-I(g)bo treats.

Ednut perhaps u are right. I haven't seen nwa Asaba become overtly offensive in any way. He is a new member like me and he is already in trouble. If someone disagrees or air some views slightly different, the person is attacked. I think people need to be corrected not confronted. Sometimes, the views expressed here do not try to deal with the reality on the ground especially back in biafranigeria. Ijeomaannutu has branded me a traitor and a coward. Unworthy of being Igbo b/c I questioned her position on some issue. I think we should listen to a person long enough and establish a pattern b4 passing a judgement on any forumite.

Nwa Aro you must be an ignorant person to want to justify the crimes against humanity your grand fathers commited. This is what Oshamblo your follower wrote:

quote:
Slavery is like other crimes that was committed against mankind, and it's the atonement over the years that people like you and other bigots would not be allowed to self-destruct.. by Oshamblo
I put it to you sir Nwa Aro that your "pride" is misplaced. You should be the one wearing the outcast and efulefu toga. It is a well known fact that your grannys sold the strongest and most virile unsuspecting young Ibo for money. They used their shitty "Long juju" and "Ibm Ukpabi" to dope those guys who woke up in Badagry to find themselves in chains. To call the best of the Ibo stock efulefu is plain madness. Iwuanyanwu is actually on your side today since he is buying(you call it renting) and selling Ibo youth for money.

It is an irony of fate that a century after the crime against humanity, the sons of the slave dealers are now slaves in Germany cleaning garages and shipping rotten cars to Apapa Lagos. What goes around comes around. You are unfit to decide who belongs and who doesn't belong. Your much publicised heritage is a despicable one. Ifele megbue yi, anu ofia!

As for the rest of you blind follow-follow, I have one simple thing to tell you: Piss off!

Ednut and Ogbunigwe:

Ndi oyim anam ekene unu. They can gang up all they like. If they ban me, I'll come back under a different handle. When you do a search under "Nwa Aro", all you see is an idiot who has arrogated to himself the right to decide who is a true or false "Ibo". If he feels some Ibo should be treated as outcasts because of their ancestors, then he must be told that his ancestors were cunning and greedy people who sold the Ibo manpower for money.

Let the sky fall.

Nwa Asaba,
Point of direction, You should desist from misprinting that word Igbo, we are called Igbo and not Ibo, if it has not come to your notice that Ibo is a degoratry way of calling the bluff of NdiIgbo by the the British and their slaves in Nigeria, know it from today.

By the way, I am outraged by Nwa aro's elavation of slavery to be normal and a nobel cause, infact, I personaly demand that he apologise to Nwa Asaba and other fumarites for making such a wicked statement. I still remember that he has once apologised unbehalf of himself and all Aros for their ancestors having a hand in the crime of slavery, for him to turn around and say that it was a worthy and ideal cause come's to me as a suprise.
