It is about Ojukwu flip-flopping, and messing with the intelligence of his followers and believers. How can he anoint another Eze when the first one he anointed is still living, and still domiciled within the same enclave? Furthermore, in what capacity is he making his affirmations or is he the uncrowned king of Igboland?
By the way the, what is the fuss about the Eze title and what is the meaning of Eze Igbo-Gburugburu that Ojukwu is acknowledged with? I thought it is only odu’a children that attach unnecessary importance to all these yeye chieftaincy royal bribe incentives. It is not about “one Nigerian brothers, it is about the Nigerian in the brothers, no matter the name you chose to call them, Biafran, Odua or Arewa, the Nigerian in us will always come out. I guess they love owambe too and by the house definition, they are “efulefus”
Meanwhile, I think the recent outburst of the warlord condemning outrightly all the currently declared presidential candidates from the southeast was in bad taste, and a personal insult to someone like Ekwueme. Although none of the candidates has any electoral appeal to me, but I think for Ojukwu to lump Ekwueme in the same unfit candidates like disgraced Okadigbo is not well deserving. We all know Okadigbo is a thief, same cannot be said of Ekwueme, and he deserves some respect from Ojukwu.
Weep not child!! The concept of "Eze Igbo" is an indelible mark that the great Ikemba is leaving in Huasaland, Yorubaland, and the lands of our enemies. Igbo republican spirit is alive and well.
Take a good look boy. There is no Eze Igbo Enugu, there is no Eze Igbo Ikwere, no Eze Igbo Owerri, no Eze Igbo Umuahia, and no Eze Igbo Onitsha. Here is the best part: THERE IS NO EZE IGBO ALA IGBO. But, we have Eze Igbo Lagos, Eze Igbo Kano, Eze Igbo Oyo, Eze Igbo Abuja, etc. Just because Igbo have no king does not mean we can't impose one on you and your people in your land.
As far as we are concerned, there is nothing wrong with having one throne and two kings at once, as long as it is happening in Yorubaland and not in Igboland. That is your problem, and we can be grateful to the genius of the Ikemba for that.
I cannot wait for the day when your children's history test will include the multiple choice question:
Who was the Igbo King of Oyo in the year of our Lord 2002?
a. Dr. Alex Anozie b. Dr. James Oramadike, or c. All of the above.
The correct answer is (c), "All of the above," and you'd better teach your children well or they will flunk the test.
Also, you want the Ikemba to respect Ekwueme and you say, "We all know Okadigbo is a thief, same cannot be said of Ekwueme." May I ask? What was the reason that you Nigerians gave for sending Alex Ekwueme to Kirikiri?
