I just read this press release in the Bulletin Board section. I think this type of good news should be brodcast in the most popular part of the forum. Bravo to BNW!!!!

Africa Media Consortium (AMC) Committee on Excellence in Media (E-Media Section)
BiafraNigeriaWorld wins Africa E-Media Resource of the Year, 2002.
I am pleased to confirm that BiafraNigeriaWorld is the winner of the first Africa E-Media Resource of the Year award. The Africa E-Media Resource of the Year award is the grand prize in the Distinguished Africa E-Media Award Program (DAEMAP). The BiafraNigeriaWorld news, magazine, and features sites were carefully reviewed and cited for bold and imaginative leadership in the areas of original content, depth of analysis, and completeness as a resource on West African Sub-regional news, commentary, African news, and news about Nigeria, including the Nigeria-Biafra conflict.
In a letter to the Administrator of BiafraNigeriaWorld, our president, Dr. Joseph Oti of Uganda, cited the determined speed with which BiafraNigeriaWorld established itself as a household name in African electronic media and as the dominant news resource for news about Nigeria. BiafraNigeriaWorld was nominated for the award by Prof. Emmanuel Opara, who is the Nigerian representative to the consortium.
Other African e-media groups won awards in other categories. The Africa distinguished E-Media award presentation ceremony will take place at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 14, 2003.

They said BNW will fizzle away, but the reverse seems to be happening. Great work BNW staff more from you in 2003.

I must admit that this site has become better known in Nigeria than it was one year ago. People who don't want to buy all the newspapers just log in here and read the news for free. I wonder though if the AMC people did not read some of the nonsense written here by people like Waypoint1biafra and Ednut. Posts: 174 | From: Lagos, Nigeria | Registered: May 2001

You have really shown that you are a big moron. Everyone knows that it is usually a supporter or an ally that nominates you for an award, but it is the neutral voters and judges that vote on the nomination. Do you expect BNW to be nominated by people like you who can't separate the chamber pot from the cooking pot? Appologies to Renee.
BNW: Congratulations to you! You are truly our home away from home.

The prodigal son where have you been lately? Thanks for showing up with that one liner. Are you going back in ROMland or just hanging out at Igboforum?

Congratulations to BNW, even as our sympathies go to the deceased egbeomooduduwa.com forum. Africa has annointed BNW to be the best. BNW has always been the comprehensive, most reliable, and the least censored forum for BiafraNigerians. Now, the tragedy of egbeomooduduwa.com forum has made BNW the oldest of its kind for BiafraNigerians.
