During the next few days, BNW will be improving its file systems and migrating portions of its operations to a new file server. During the exercise, we may need to temporarily suspend access to certain files or even to the messageboard.
Because we are fanatical about preserving the archives you create at BNW, we maintain a state-of-the-art backup system. Therefore, the integrity of all files will be maintained, and we will not permit any avoidable data losses. Any images that are currently not displaying will be fully restored.

Next week, we plan to conclude the migration exercise that started here a few days ago. As some of you are aware, there are several portals to the BNW sites. There may be some propagation delays as some of the backup portals are migrated. If you see a "new site" message while accessing BNW, try using one of the alternative portals.

Some parts of BNW and BNW's parent servers will be down starting at 2:00 am EST (7 am BNST) Sunday 'night,' i.e., Monday morning, while we perform scheduled maintenance. We expect to restore all services shortly thereafter.

During the past several hours, BNW successfully migrated the MessagBoard to a new facility. This change was necessary to enable BNW cope with the exploding traffic and resource demands placed on the old system.
It was necessary to shut the MessageBoard server down during the migration so as to avoid data loss. We realise that there will be some propagation delays and it could be several hours after service is restored before some members gain access to the MessageBoard.
Some of you wrote wondering if you had been banned. Any inability to make posts was caused by migration activities. No one was banned.
We apologize for any inconveniences that the interruption may have caused. The forum is back and fully functional.
