As soon as Obasanjo opened his mouth people started leaving the stadium! Just what you get for renting a crowd. Even his pathetic attempt to apppear charismatic was described by the journalist as comic!
quote:
As soon as Obasanjo took his seat at 2.02 p.m. after the necessary introductions, Governor Odili mounted the soap-box to present a welcome address. But halfway into the speech that lasted just about 12 minutes, there was mass exodus of people out of the stadium. And by the time the south-south co-ordinator of Obasanjo Campaign, Chief Tony Anenih and the National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Audu Ogbeh could finish their speeches, the sea of heads that overflowed the stadium reduced significantly as many walked out. Could the mass exodus be that the people were annoyed with Odili's praise singing speech and those of the other speakers or were they just waiting to see Obasanjo and not hear him speak or were they actually tired of waiting? Many questions.

You are dealing with a man who does not know shame. His supporters where stoned last week on their way to Abuja back from Makurdi. If you count how many times the mallams have stoned anything that remotely represents Obasanjo including Atiku you begin to wonder how anyone could be so power hungry as not to know when he has been rejected.

The last resort now has to be rigging, I think this man is digging a very big hole. It does not look good for BiafraNigeria either way.
