Ndi Igbo hear me and hear me clearly we need to capitalize on this EU request for the stopage of Sharia in Nigeria.
Christians which majority of are Igbos should be making a strong case showing the evils of sharia. People should be made to understand that if this is allowd to be implemented in the north it will surely be brought down to the south.

We Won't Obey E.U. On Sharia, By Zamfara Governor
THE Zamfara State Governor Alhaji Ahmad Sani Yerima has said that no amount of pressure can stop the implementation of Sharia Legal System being operated in Northern States of the country. The governor declared this on Friday night at the weekly Islamic preaching being organised by the state Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Sani was apparently reacting to a recent request sent to Nigeria by the European Union (EU) asking the country to ensure the stoppage of the Sharia Legal System operating in the country. He pointed out that the issue of Sharia implementation is not negotiable in Nigeria as it affects the faith of Moslems in the country.
According to him, democracy and the strong desire of the Moslems in the country to reclaim their rights to worship led to the divine law through the adoption and implementation of Sharia, as all the penal laws and sanctions have satisfied the test of validity under the 1999 Constitution.
The governor stressed that the Sharia Legal System operating in the country has also satisfied the test of validity under the United Nations Human Right, and vowed to reply them very soon over their (EU) request.
"Recently, the European Union (EU) which has Germany, Italy, England and others as members of the union, had sat and asked Nigeria to stop the implementation of Sharia Legal System across the country," Sani revealed.
He maintained that "This Union is not for Nigeria. But fortunately, even the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria an the United Nations Human Rights gave a provision for freedom to practice your religion, in accordance with your interest, Section 18 (eighteen) of the U.N.H.R. provision. We have seen it in the internet and we are going to reply them (EU) as they sent to us," Yerima declared.
Sani therefore called on Moslems in Nigeria and the world in general not to exercise any fear over what is happening in the world, as God promised to assist and protect the faithful among the human beings.
The governor asked European Union members to note that the Islamic Faith and its legal system are inseparably interwoven and jointly represent the code of conduct/practice to regulate all aspects of a Moslem's life from cradle to grave.
The Sharia Legal System operating in the country is neither imposed on non-Moslems nor affects their interests wherever they may co-exist with Moslems.
