Today is very special when you put it in perspective, The dumpster is full of those who have tried to turn off the fire of BNW, and got burned in the process. Egbeome.com is on life support, ASHILAC is dead and Buried, Gamji.com is dead and burried, Nigeriaworld.net is history, Rudolf Okonkwo was silenced for good. What does all those names above have in common, they all encountered BNW. Today BNW is bigger badder and still kicking ass.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear BNWwwwwwwwwww, Happyyyyyyyyyy Birthday to youuuuuuuuuuu.

I remember when this board used to record over 100 posts in a day. Those days, I used to visit more than five times a day. What we have now is a shadow of its former self. Hardly does it make up to six posts in one day. Hardly does anybody see any kind of debate here. The job of re-invigorating this board should be everyone's concern. The Biafran movement cannot be down the same time this board is down. That is a calamity.
Happy birthday, even though I do not know what we are celebrating.

I usually do not agree with anybody but you are right. The main reason is the bans that should not have happened during this time last year. Another reason is the introduction of all this useless private/closed forums i.e Ikanga, Backroom, etc. These useless forums made some members of this board having to "in these private forums" choose when to and what is save to respond to. They even choose who they should ignore and agree among themselves on who should be banned. It is just sorry that this had lead to the state of this messagebored today.
Happy Birthday again BNW but unban everybody, from Aluko through Amanda to Ruddy Okonkwo and his cuz Nobiora.

I BIG thank you goes to the creator of BNW. You are the man, most can't comprehend what it takes to keeping such sites as BNW going. All they comprehend or know how to do is complain about stuff that do not make sense.

First, I congratulate the ones who went beyond talking and established the BNW. I know it is even harder running it. I commend the webmaster(s)who sacrifice(s) their resources to keep it going.

I agree with you. We should start by avoiding unintelligble one liners and unprovoked insults of others. It is clear that some contributors exist exclusively for that purpose. I think alternative views should not be shouted down or branded unbiafran by anyone. The main idea behind biafra was and remains that All Igbos are born free and therefore should be free from persecution and should be free to express their mind. So, Isioma visit as often as you can and begin to write again. I am sure bullying will stop if one or more people refuse to be bullied into submission.
I also support the idea of unbanning previously registered members of the board.

As one of the pioneers of this board, it is a shame to see how this once a thriving and vibrating forum has been hijacked and decimated by fake Biafran advocates. Extremists, and with the connivance of the administrator, have turned the forum to a cultic one, and the resultant effect is the dearth of serious debate in the forum.
The demise of this forum is just a matter of time if the administrator remains in the clutch of the bigots who have successfully taken over the administration of this board.
It is not a happy birthday; it should be a reflective one.
Isioma, I agree with you that the board is not as vibrant as it was, but partly because of the the reasons put forward by CSE and maybe because of changes in the personal circumstances of some contributors. I also do not accept the reasons that Ednut but forward, I can not claim to know the circumstances that let to cirtain contributors leaving the forum, but from the analysis of the writing of present contributors, I think that a lot of the 'banned' have returned with different 'handles'.
I think that we need to make the forum more vibrant.Contibutions from such good writers as yourself and others in Romland would be welcome.

Happy 2ND Anniversary. Its been a wonderful ride and educational too. I further agree with Ednut that the secret forums are dissipating this place of energy. Also, the mindless desire to shout disagreeable opinions down. Enough of the tediousness and more focus on education. Happy Birthday again, to BiafraNigeriaworld. And thank you, administrator.

How Times Fly. When this board came alive, we were told that this "KKK" board will "fizzle away." I hope the Administrator and WELL-MEANING members of this board dont allow that "prediction" to come to pass. Here are my two pence advice to the owners of this great board:
A) This board is and should remain not only in name but PRACTICALLY Biafra-Nigeria-World, i.e. those with ideas/thoughts about Biafra, Nigeria and the world in general should be allowed to air those views (as long as it is done with decency) WITHOUT molestation or intimidation.
B) To preserve the INTERGRITY of this board and members therein, I suggest to the Administrator that any person or group of persons who wishes to use this open forum to canvass for monetary donation for any cause (it must not be for only Biafran or Igbo causes) should among others openly provide (if it is not save, he/she can alternatively provide same privately to the Boardmaster) full name/names, Social Security Number (for those residing in the States), office and home telephone numbers and other vital informations that can be used to trace the person/persons involved. I think if this is done, the cases of mistaken identity or making "wrong judgment" will vanish.
C) The Boardmaster should be more strict on allowing members starting new threads on same topic while the one already in session is not exhausted. If need be, the Boardmaster should use his descretion to delete such double same-issue threads.
D) Finally, while maintaining the RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH which prompted the establishment of this great board, the Boardmaster should make sure that that privilege is not abused by those who cannot draw the line between freedom of speech and VULGARITY.
I think if these and other measures others may suggest are implemented, this board will relive its former self.
In the mean, HAAAAPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I don't think that everyone should be allowed to write at BNW. Last year, I had many e-mail exchanges with the webmaster and I wanted the webmaster to remove bababoyz from this forum. What value do bababoyz one-liners add to BNW? For a while, I thought the webmaster understood my point. But bababoyz is still here making useless posts.
BNW is still the best. Happy Birthday.

Please take that money issue to the appropriate place there is an ongoing thread for that. Stop this your playing the victim, you have been told what to do if you feel defrauded. You where the one antagonizing anyone who did not agree with you or you perceived to be close to Amanda, you even declared the Biafran movement dead for goodness sake.
Just like you I do not fear to speak my mind, let us leave this thread for reviewing the performance of BNW and those who wish to congratulate the board. Ndewo.
