Here you guys go again. My problem with you satanic Islamic faiths is the invocation of your allah in vain. What kind of religion, the one that you preach with its suicide bombers and deadly fanatics would scream "Allahu akbar" (God is Great) when they destroy human lives and fly planes into hi-rise buildings?

Where are you? In response to your false claims regarding "six posts a day," here is what I wrote on page 1 of this thread on March 19, 2003
quote:Isioma,
This time last year, there were about ten thousand posts in all the forums at BNW combined. Today, there are more than twenty-one thousand posts.
You may want to know that one month later, there are more than twenty-two thousand posts at BNW. egbeomooduduwa.com messageboard now has ZERO posts, and it seems that Umuigbo have permanently buried it.
"Six posts a day" hmmmm?

Perhaps, like me, you were not present two years ago when BNW emerged in part, I learned, as an audacious response to efforts elsewhere to stifle the freedoms that you and I take for granted here.
As visitors to this site are reminded, the BNW forums were created to foster dialogue and the free expression of ideas. Today, the BNW forums have blossomed. Recognized as the discussion forums of choice for Africans of both the Biafran and Nigerian hue, the BNW forums constitute a large marketplace of ideas; to wit, the BNW forums constitute the largest compendium of spirited dialogue, scholarly riposte, and carefully archived intellectual disagreements over issues concerning Biafra, Nigeria, BiafraNigeria, Africa, and the World.
I am pleased to be a part of this site. With such a clear vision and notions of our civil liberties, especially the right to free expression grounded in the very best of our legal traditions, it is no surprise that BNW MessageBoard has evolved into a free speech island in the raging sea of mindless censorship on the African cyberspace. That is something to be proud of. That, I think, is why many see the birthday of this site as warranting a slightly lengthy ovation.

Coming from a woman of your proven intellectual standing, those are powerful statements to make about these forums. I am sure that your words are music to the ears of the wonderful people around the world who have made BNW and the BNW forums such a success.
Yesterday was war. Today is work.
A belated happy birthday to BiafraNigeriaWorld.
