These days, everybody claims to be Bill Gates of Africa. But, this chap from Ghana seems to be the real deal. He has his own "Soft." What say you?

It is good to develop a cheaper software for African population. But that is not the most essential need in Africa. What is needed in Africa, among other things, are:
1) giving the population the means of getting richer
2) taking over all the public contracts that cost the country a lot of money and which give the corrupt officials the means of making money. In Nigeria, they are, just like the software in question, the computerization of ID cards, Universities, etc. There will be creation of employment, the cost will be less, etc. For the moment, they are being handled by foreigners.

3) democractic rule, where people's votes are respected.

4) etc

If the above condtions are fulfilled, there would be market for all the new inventions. In Africa our problem is the market, the major client is the government who depends solely on natural resources. If that guy was a Nigerian, would Obasanjo administration buy it or would it buy foreign products from those who promise him debt forgiveness? They would remind him that they have been fighting for them in order to get debt relief, which is rubbish. Let me add another criterium: less naive, non-mandated "leaders" for African countries.
