"The Federal Government has somehow gotten itself paralysed by its own criminality. They have been so criminal that right now they are incapable of doing anything positive in this matter," he said.

He accused Obasanjo of being insensitive to the abduction of Ngige by the police led by Mr. Raphael Ige, a former Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Ojukwu called on Obasanjo to resign, saying his action since Ngige's abduction shows "a high level of incompetence."

"The mere fact that his governor was abducted in any other civilised country is sufficient for him to resign because it shows a high level of incompetence," he said.

Also commenting on the Anambra crisis, the chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Alhaji Balarabe Musa said there is no way Ige, could have acted without the consent of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun and the approval of Obasanjo.

He accused the president and the police of acting out a fascist agenda.
