Court Orders Ngige to Vacate Office
-------------------------------------------------

quote:
Also commenting on the Anambra crisis, Ojukwu, who spoke in Abuja when he paid a solidarity visit to the secretariat of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) over the fire incident which affected parts of the building called for the establishment of state police that would be under the countrol of state governors.

"The Federal Government has somehow gotten itself paralysed by its own criminality. They have been so criminal that right now they are incapable of doing anything positive in this matter," he said.

He accused Obasanjo of being insensitive to the abduction of Ngige by the police led by Mr. Raphael Ige, a former Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Ojukwu called on Obasanjo to resign, saying his action since Ngige's abduction shows "a high level of incompetence."

"The mere fact that his governor was abducted in any other civilised country is sufficient for him to resign because it shows a high level of incompetence," he said.

quote:
Also commenting on the Anambra crisis, the chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Alhaji Balarabe Musa said there is no way Ige, could have acted without the consent of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun and the approval of Obasanjo.

He accused the president and the police of acting out a fascist agenda.

Why go to court? Did the court send Obasanjo's kinsmen to abduct a governor? It would have been better to send the same actors to finish the commenced job. Nigerians should go on protesting until the illegitimate regime backs down. It is one of the means of reclaiming the country from bandits.

But Ojukwu said in the past that he does not recognize Obasanjo as president. So what should Obasanjo resign from?

Most Nigerians do not recognize the illegitimate regime? It is rather the court that failed to fulfil its duty, which results to the situation today where the police abducted a governor. Why should the police organize a coup but not the army?
