Compatriots,
When the Inspector General Of BiafraNigeria police force promised to fight Fire with fire, little did we know that he was implying that he was going to fight corruption by being even more corrupt that his predecessors.

Here are examples of his activities.
What will Obasanjo Do? We hope he extends his anticorruption fight to his kinsman Balagon, not just Okadigbo.

There is no chance Balogun is ever going to face the music, he might just spill the beans on the April landslide and pull everybody down with him the guy looks desperate.Aremu will simply retire him to go enjoy his loot rather than risk letting out a loose canon.

It will be interesting to see if Ige holds out and goes down alone or decides to take Balogun with him. If he decides to take Tafa down with him, then Tafa may rat on Aso Rock and all hell will be let loose. Now you know why the emperor is calling for a political solution.

Chiboy, you are very right! Here is the Anambra connection, which a lot of BiafraNigerians accept is not just an Igbo problem, except such efulefu as Rudolph.

quote:
But to hush AIG Ige up, the IG was said to have reached an understanding with him that whatever happens, Ige would only be retired from the force, a retirement that was just a matter of weeks away anyway. But Ige, a thoroughbred in these matters, was said to have demanded and received N15 million from his boss just in case the situation got out of hand and the IG sacrifices him. Well, Ige has been sacrificed by his boss and his entire police career ruined. Will he spill the beans?
Thanks to the news, we now know that it cost 75million naira, a lexus and a house in warri GRA for Ibori's criminal conviction to disappear.

AIG Ige will ever be presecuted for doing exactly what he was asked to do by criminal Obasanjo.

Chiboy, please check your pm.

Lets not forget why General Olusegun Obasanjo has turned to political solutions. Hear a source close to General Olusegun Obasanjo:
quote:
"I do not think there is any evidence linking the presidency to the crisis. Whether we like it or not, the political solution remains the best option. Even if the government decides to go to court and send the culprits to jail, what gives you the assurance that they would not operate from the prisons to oust Ngige. Anambra Crisis: Why Presidency Wants Political Solution
As you can see, General Obasanjo is very worried about what Chris Uba and other masterminds of the Anambara treason might do should they be tried by the state. And he has a good reason not to upset suspected serious criminals. Have you not heard that the Ige family had to run away when murder suspect Omisore risked losing his seat in the senate? Ige's Son Alleges Threat to Life, Flees. By Eddy Odivwri

I suggested to one of General Obasanjo’s admirers that his polluted solution of treason and murder to save the victims showed him as a very caring and pragmatic man. He gleefully agreed and told me it was another of Uncle Shege’s political masterstroke. I agree completely.

Wacko,

Whatever you think of Balogun,(fire-for money etc) please give him credit for some of the most comical police strategies ever deployed. Seriously, I think that Balogun knew the only way to arrest a god son was to tell him that God daddy at Aso Rock wanted to have a chat! I couldn’t find a link to this story – posted the whole thing.
quote:
Ige: How Omisore Was Arrested

Fresh facts have emerged on how the former deputy-governor of Osun State, Otunba Iyiola Omisore was arrested by the police for alleged complicity in the murder of former Justice Minister and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige.

A close personal aide of the impeached deputy-governor, told THISDAY that Omisore, who had been brimming with confidence on his legal battle against his impeachment by the state legislature, received a sudden but "friendly" phone call from Abuja on Thursday, December 26 this year.

The aide disclosed that the call which came from the Presidency advised him to come to Aso Rock Villa for a friendly chat on urgent political issues.

The aide said an enthusiastic Omisore immediately packed his brief case and headed for the Federal Capital Territory arriving there on Friday.

On arriving at the Aso Rock Villa, Omisore who was driven in his official convoy to the FCT with the attendant security complement of a deputy-governor, was immediately ushered in to see a top official of the presidency who then advised him to visit the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun at Police Headquarters.

Omisore who was also driven to the Police Headquarters office in his army-green Lexus Jeep with special FRSC plate number APESIN confidently walked into the IG's office.

THISDAY however gathered that immediately Omisore stepped into the police premises, the IG ordered the release of a prepared press statement on his arrest and imminent prosecution.

Thereafter, Omisore was immediately whisked to an unknown location for further interrogation and subsequent detention pending his arraignment to join 13 other suspects including his cousin, Alani Omisore, whose trial in an Ibadan High court is scheduled to resume on January 21, next year.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in Ife, Omiso-re's town to pre-empt possible breakdown of law and order.

Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shehu Bayero is personally supervising the deployment of policemen to the area in the wake of Omisore's arrest and detention.

It would be recalled that the Yoruba establishment group, Afenifere, and the Alliance for Democracy (AD) to which both late Ige and Omisore belonged had earlier petitioned the IG requesting that Omisore's official security cover be withdrawn and that he should be arrested and tried over Ige's murder.

The Inspector General of Police while explaining the reasons for Omisore's arrest said the move was neessitated by his impeachment as deputy governor which stripped him of the constitutional immunity he had hitherto enjoyed.

Balogun, who said Omisore would "face intense interrogation and possible prosecution," added that the police made extensive legal consultation on the matter, pointing out that Omisore's arrest came from the Justice Minister, Kanu Agabi.

The IG also said that the delay in effecting Omisore's arrest was as result of the initial lack of evidence against him.

"We didn't have any credible evidence to link Omisore with the murder of Chief Bola Ige. In murder cases, there must be serious nexus. The minister of justice has the authority to decide who to prosecute and who not to prosecute. He has been arrested and is likely to be taken, based on legal advice, to join others in Ibadan to be prosecuted," Balogun said.

The Igbo efulefu, Eze Ozobu, also tried to blame Nd'Igbo for the Obasanjo/Tafa Balogun coup in Anambara. We are talking about the same Eze Ozobu of Ohanefulefu who refused to endorse an Igbo candidate for president.
