Dim Ojukwu has spoken again, and as usual he has shone a very bright light on the BiafraNigerian mess. The Ikemba says he will retire months after his death. He indicted Yoruba cowardice, as personified in Gen. Ogundipe, the wimp who excaped to London, instead of taking command in 1966, following the murder of General Ironsi.

I'm happy at least to have read this interview with Ojukwu. Tomorrow Nowa Omoigui and Olisah Addy will give us anecdotal details of how they once saw a chicken chasing after a melon seed at Mkpor junction. By now Nowa is about to complete a detailed compilation on his personal eyewitness account of the life history of OkokoNdem and General Phillip Effiong. These gallant men of nobility recently passed away.
Its now Millertime for authoritative embellishment.

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has timely shown that the brutes and bigots who negated due process should be blamed under every circumstances during the pogrom, Ironsi's abduction and the civil war.
quote:...When I finally learnt that Ogundipe had fled, I did not stop. I then proposed Adebayo, he should take over by seniority, then of course, Gowon proclaimed himself commander over and above so many senior officers...
Of course, Ogundipe was compelled to abandon his responsibilities fleeing to England.
On Ironsi's so-called Unification Decree and national tour:
quote:...If you notice in his moving round, it was so anti-East that Enugu was not even on the list for Ironsi to visit, which was wrong. The Decree 34 that you talked about, what actually was in that decree? The point is that I was in the SMC, and I do not think that there was any decree that Ironsi issued which we in the SMC did not sit round and we all discussed.
Alas! Ironsi was savagely axed for a decree designed to restructure or unify the civil service. And Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, Ironsi's aide is free of charge. I don't get it!
On the brute Murtala Mohammed and secession:
quote:When the upheaval then took place, I began first to talk to Murtala Mohammed, who was in Ikeja, we understood each other, and what he said to me was very straight forward and simple: "I do not want to stay with Nigeria. I just want us to separate the North from Nigeria, which would mean that we would move the Northerners of a certain standing to the North." I said to him if this is the case, akay, go ahead with it.
Mohammed never confessed for his sins and sadly stands today as a hero. Only in that forbidden land.
On the bigot and number one Igbo hater Olusegun Obasanjo:
quote:I repudiate it. I think I do so unabashedly, because in my latest statement I said Obasanjo is a fraud, and I think that captures him better than anything else I have said. He is not that which he presents himself to be. He is not a civilian; he is not a democrat; he is not a Nigerian. He is not a Yoruba as such.
Dike Di Oranma 1 of Igboland, Ikemba of Nnewi, the peoples General, Eze Igbo Gburugburu, I salute you. You have said it all and I still adore you. You are my hero, period!

Biafra Rising:Odumegwu Ojukwu, in company of Osadebe, Asikiwe and Okpara in spirit, visits Mz Peter Obi of Anambra, raising hope for a renewal in Igbo/Biafra. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Government House, Awka, in Anambra State yesterday came alive as the trio of the leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu; son of first Nigerian president, Chukwuma Azikiwe, and son of former premier of Midwest Region, Chief Chike Osadebe, paid a solidarity visit to Governor Peter Obi.
The men who came into Government House Awka at exactly 4:15pm yesterday predicted that come the next general election in 2007, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) would sweep the five states of the South-East geopolitical zone at the polls.
Speaking at the occasion, Ojukwu, who out of excitement threw his black native cap before Governor Obi as a sign of congratulations and solidarity, said that the was his happiest day since he returned.
He added that he was grateful to God to be alive and see APGA capture a core Igbo State. Ojukwu, however, warned that Governor Obi should not abandon any of the road projects started by the former governor, Dr. Chris Ngige, insisting that the road projects were for the interest of Anambra people and that the communities who are presently benefiting from them should not get apprehensive over the change in government. The defunct Biafran Head of State, who spoke mostly in Igbo language, said, “I came to greet you Governor. It has been my wish to come and see you. All the travails and troubles you went through before we called you Governor will make you work harder. Ojukwu is here to greet the Governor. You are the only Governor who was really elected by the people. Igbo people should ensure that they are in charge of their affairs. Do not allow strangers to come and take our land. I have no shame over Igbo affairs. “My brothers and sisters, we have fought the battle (election), we have won it. Let us move forward and make Anambra State a better place. I praise you for welcoming him (Obi). Please, continue to support him. Before he finishes his administration other parts of the country and indeed other neighbouring countries will come to Anambra to see some wonders. We came to work, not to show off.
“If he (Obi) misbehaves, I will tell him, but I have not had any cause to doubt him since I started dealing with him. All the things I did with him, I have no regrets. I would have been here with the son of Dr. Michael Okpara but he phoned us as we were leaving to say he could not make it.

Lets see, Chukwuma Azikiwe = sell out.
By their company you shall know them. No wonder MI's son avoided the entire thing. Owu nna ya muru ya.

Does that include when Peter Obi slated Massob? As far as I am concerned, this trip was just about Ojukwu showing off that he has also become a godfather like Uba and co.

I think that it is an insult to equate Dim Ojukwu with that rascal and tug called Uba.
