This is why the Yoruba and foolish olusegun obasanjo hold sway in Igbo land today: Our own people, including the leaders of WIC, Igbo members of PDP and the geriatric leadership of Ohanaeze, are taking money from the Yoruba/Hausa leaders of nigeria to abandon the common interests of the Biafran people. This pattern has been in place since 1970, when Ukpabi Asika, a true house slave, was made "leader" in Igboland. Since then the nigerians have discovered a simple but very destructive way to contain Biafran competition.
When will the likes Orji Kalu, Ojo Maduekwe, Mbadinuju, Ngige, etc, be made to account to ndiIgbo and not to their Yoruba/Hausa sponsors in Abuja?
....They covet power for themselves. They only provide support if they are guaranteed certain perks in return. Since Nd’Igbo have not been in a position to provide those perks, it has meant that these forces only work for the Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba who control Nigeria. Even as they pursue their own personal agenda, they constantly backbite and attempt to destroy or discredit one another, as was the case between Nzeribe, Okadigbo, and Evans Enwerem, and others. While they are thus preoccupied, the Hausa-Fulani and the Yoruba consolidate their power bases and reap the rewards of cooperation.
This tendency to fear while embarking on a quest for power over each other make Nd’Igbo their own worst enemy. External forces have little need to really attack us. All they have to do is sit back and wait for these groups to destroy us.
If these internal forces hold themselves out as our representatives, as the ones fighting for our survival, they should be ready and willing to fall behind certain individuals and endorse them if we are to succeed. However, if they insist that they are too good to be led, that they should wield all the power, then we will perish. Our interests will never be represented, and we will be left floundering like drunkards in the political arena. As things stand, none of these groups seem to do anything strictly for the benefit of Nd’Igbo. Consequently, no goals we set for our people will ever be accomplished because by their selfish actions, they prevent us from performing the tasks that would get the mission accomplished..... Chioma Captured the facts in that well written article of her's until we learn how to deal with the Gorrillas in our mist, we will continue to suffer the same faith Ojukwu and APGA suffered during the fraud selection.
quote:The information failure problem caught my attention because I have come to realize that pertinent, run of the mill details about Igbo politicians is not readily available, unless such information is negative. There are hardly any pictures of key Igbo political candidates during elections. No one ever really knows who they are or what they represent. The same can be said of other Igbo public figures
Lo and behold! We now have a very good picture of Maazi Okwesilieze Nwodo, now that he is an accused criminal: Posts: 397 | Registered: May 2001
