quote:I guess we can't thank BNW enough, where else can you find an Ukaobasi, Ohafia, Damian or Wacko in the same forum as Bamidele, Daud or the new agbalagba AfroEuro freely speaking their mind. Where else will an ingrate like Addy be given a free forum to insult Biafrans without let or hinderance. In the true Biafran spirit BNW has made Africa proud.
Imagine all the education freeloaders like Bababoyz have received free of charge on this forum in such a short period, before your know it even Bamidele will be writing whole paragraphs.
Chiboy:
Not even you can make me forget how we got to this place, this place that the entire world now calls BNW. I have been trying to teach you Biafran diehards that you should know when to fight and when to celebrate. You should not fight when the Super Eagles are winning, especially when the coach is one of you "Biafrans," and you should not fight when you should be celebrating what most people familiar with the story now agree is a masterpiece on the web out of Africa. But hey, if you want a fight, a fight you shall get.
Happy Birthday BNW.
You stuffed the rag into the mouth of the tin-pot tyrant at the other place.
Many happy returns.

It is fitting that three years after it came into being, BNW should have more relaxed and calmer celebrations. It is a sign of growth and maturity. But, we must not forget the more explosive and rambunctious greetings that heralded these celebrations in the past and the events that surrounded those celebrations .

Happy Birthday to BNW. You have demonstrated that no one should have to tolerate tyranny against free expression.

The energy that goes into celebrating the anniversary of BNW is a reminder of the important role this board served at a crucial point three years ago. Today, we have come to expect that it will not be a matter of the pure whim of the operators to remove ("ban") board participants from forums such as BNW. But, many here will remember that it was not always that way. Ironically, this board is now the oldest of its kind catering to BiafraNigerians, and it is the one with the oldest archived discussion data.
Happy Birthday BNW. Indeed, as Ohafia eloquently put it, thou arth the "freedom train."

The sweetest part is that, BNW sparkles with wonder. What you guys have done here is awesome and regardless, you deserve five stars for teaching many of us a whole lot of things we may not have known. It's one of the best resource I've seen on the web. I am very thankful for the learning experience.
Great place to be and keep it up!

You have given us a way to live, a way to act, and a way to speak. The word "efulefu" was known even before Achebe's "Things Fall Apart."
But, it was here at BNW that Joy coined the term "Igbo Efulefu," a powerful new term, which has become an integral part of the Igbo lexicon and the most devastating description of wayward Igbo persons. That opened the way for me to remark in my own small contribution a few years ago that "Igbo does not send Efulefu."
Today, we have come to accept, as wisdom, that indeed, Igbo Does NOT send Efulefu. Wherever Igbo efulefu may be located today, they know that the name BNW shines light upon and spells absolute rejection of their behavior.

It takes great vision, a clarity of mission and absolute commitment to establish and sustain a relevant, up-to-date and free forum such as this. This is a classical demonstration of the Igbo Spirit of Can-do and Egbe belu, Ugo belu.
I salute the Prime Movers of this creative and intellectually enriching site. And I pray that they should never be lacking in energy and resources to keep it going.
Happy Birthday and many happy returns.
