Aggrieved Husband Beheads Wife In Lagos
By Aramide Kazzim

In what looked like a horror movie, yesterday morning, at Morocco Road, Jibowu, on Lagos Island, one Jamiu Adisa beheaded Asabi, his wife and mother of two children, after allegedly accusing her of infidelity.

According to an eye-witness, who is also Adisa's neighbour, trouble started Friday night when the man started quarrelling with his wife on his return from work, accusing her of been unfaithful and having an affair.

According to the neighbour, Asabi denied the allegation and this led to hot argument between man and wife. He later sent her out of the matrimonial home, warning her never to return.

"Asabi returned to the house. We heard her screaming and her husband shouting on top of his voice too. We thought they were just fighting and when Mrs. Adisa's plea for help persisted, we decided to come out to assist but the door was firmly locked," the witness said.

"We went over to the window and saw Mrs Adisa lying down in her own pool of blood with her head cut off with cutlass."

Meanwhile, Police have started their investigation into the case as they also arrived at the scene of the incident when The Guardian visited.
