The President has declared a State of Emergency in Plateau State. The elected Governor has been replaced with a military general from same State. The legislature, therefore, desolved.
Well, the issue here is that this President is very vendictive and this to me, serves as a pay back to the Governor and Plateau State Christian leaders. One wonders why he did not declare a State of Emergency in Kano as well to balance things up?
Are the Hausa/Fulani untouchable? Is this President afraid of Hausas/Fulanis? Is his Presidency in danger if he dare touches them? Is the South too weak to shake him?
My take on all these is a call for SNC to discuss the way forward. The current formula is not working. The refusal of the President to heed the will of the people on SNC should be condenmed by all peace-loving people of the Nigeria and the world at large.

Peeeeeeeeeeople! obasanjo has gone totally insane! This mad dog is destroying the few infrastructures we have! He's pandering to the hausa based on his fear of military takeover do we need this WIMP? Nooooooooo!!!
This old unkempt fella panders to the hausa oligarchy so often thereby endangering the populace. The constitution does not give him the absolute right to declare "State of Emergency" it has to go through a process (National Assembly) and the reason for such would go beyond reasonable doubt.
Kano and all core northern enclaves are overdue for this emergency declaration. I was told last night that obasanjo is a conflicted moslem he's between the two religions with more tilt towards islam.
God if you truly exists you MUST convince us by DESTROYING this evil man in Jesus name! AMEN!!!

Brother Ukaobsi I am with MeBiafra on this one, Obasanjo is a devil's child and God almighty should not allow him to distroy God's children. I think Igbos and Biafrans should rally behind Governor Dariye. He is a christian, The Governor of Zamfra stumped his feeth on the Constitution and nothing happened to him, Kano muslims are killing Christains, their Governor was not suspended, Yet this Christian Governor was suspended.
Anarchy is reigning Nigeria, is anybody still in doubt that Nigeria days are numbered. Obasanjo is paranoid, check his behaviors that is a behavior of a mad man and a man who is panikying. The shoe is going to drop soon.

Brother Biafra,
Regarding Mebiafrans commentary on Aremu's actions, as usual it remains right on the money.
The public comments which I highlighted exemplifies the specific aspect about which I am rather disturbed. In the public rejection of its possibly unintended levity, I have merely taken such sober but sincere position as above, lest we all incurr a Divine wrath from not being our brothers keeper.
Under no circumstances however do I desire to appear sanctimonious at Mebiafran's expense as I believe I would expect a similar jolt from him under similar circumstances.
quote:Originally posted by Biafra: .....I think Igbos and Biafrans should rally behind Governor Dariye.
On this particular approach, I remain highly suspicious of the Joshua Dariyes, George Akumes, Theophilus Danjumas, Yakubu Gowons, and Victor Malus of this world, fellow Christian or not.
From past history, all that Igbos have had to show for trying to support others in any search for justice and a better environment in which to nurture the brit abomination has only met with vile scorn, envy, and outright hatred. it is time to let things be.
Let others speak up for a change. Until they do, any sympathy by Igbos can only continue to be viewed with hatred, unappreciation, and bitter betrayal when they believe they're "alright".
We can only wish them well, as we proceed to take care of ourselves and watch for overtures by them that they have quite had enough.
Until such a time as these overtures are seen, we would be wasting our time cultivating vipers and cobras as future allies I'm afraid.

Your suspetion of the socalled Middle Belters is well placed. History have proven that, Although there is an Igbo adage which says "ndi Mechanic ekwe gi anyim mata ndi bu ndi ara" Meaning mechanic have confused us from differentiating mad people from the mechanics. All the people you mentioned are all part of the clique power that be one Nigeria benefitiaries. But what about the common man, who are christians, May be is good this things are happening so that the Joshua Dariye and Danjumas of this world will finally understand that the core North doesn't have their interest at heart.
Having say this I still think that we have to speak out, because this is an indirect attack on us, because we are 99% christians.
Ndewo my brother, I just happened upon your admonition of my one-line prayer needless to inform ya that it would be foolish of me not to heed your advice as no one have a monopoly of wisdom except the hopeless obasanjo. He wishes!
quote: § "Thou shalt not put the Lord thy God to the test" § "Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord thy God in vain"
I do, however, have serious issues with the bible verses in quote, as there is always contradicting verses to buttress my little prayer. It was in his name not the devil's therefore in order.Call Upon The Lord & He'll Answer Thee.
Are we talking about the same obasanjo who insulted then arrested a Bishop of the Church? Does he deserve any better based on the same bible teachings he desecrated when he called a church elder "idiot?" What if just a wish if holy cow, my prayer is answered won't you pop a celebrating champagne or soda?
My brother I have tremendous respect for the opinions of all BIAFRANS particularly you & Biafra hence will not join issues with you and let this divide us. All's well that ends well I was told. I jumped on this board after reading from the rear solely because of the benin chap "othniel" and now that I have taken care of him I look forward to eliminating the yoruba dude "AfroEuro," the hausa fella "Ugali Shaga" and all. These days I noticed they approach with caution as should.
quote:Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Dr. Olu Onagoruwa remarked that it was the responsibility of the National Assembly and not the President to decide on such action....GuardianNews 5/19/04
Can obasanjo recognize his own face in a group picture if he runs into one? We know who the real "IDIOT" is!

Based on that wonderful link, I think I now realize the intent which you meant to convey to be devoid of cavalier inhumility, yet I believe that having given the earlier comment a second glance, it must have become apparent to you why it could be easily misconstrued by others, instead of as a humble supplication or a passioned outcry to our maker (as with the psalmist), but rather as a fearless dare such as from one challenging his maker before his awesome prescence.
My brother, I have also admired your able input on this forum now since you started, and have not hesitated to express that in my several responses on this board, even as I have appreciated the many kind words you have said to me.
I cannot erase those all of a sudden just because I was disturbed by the nature of a comment I found confounding. My duty was to communicate that concern unequivocally without projecting a personal attack on you and I'd like to believe that is what came accross.
Unfortunately, unless a request is made to the Webmaster for a late edit and adjustment, That comment will continue to exist in that form, projecting the same impression regardless of the clarification.
My brother, thank you for your patience with me, and your kind understanding.
Regarding the state of emmergency by Aremu in Plateau state, I saw how you carefully and expertly disarmed Kunle from his headlong onslaught by confronting him with methodical research.
In order just to save face temporarily for today, Kunle now has to predictably defend forcefully, that which in the not so distant future can be used against him.
Isnt this is the greatest irony?

Below is an email from an Oyibo Christian technician based in Plateau State. It was forwarded to me from an e-list. I have removed the name to protect the writer's identity.
Let me place myself on record as saying that I completely endorse the views of bro Ukaobasi. The Middle Belt/Northern Christians have never failed to seize or create opportunities to gang up with their jihadistic brothers against my Igbo nation. Bloody Yakubu Gowon ex Head of State and member of Aremu's Council of State is a native of Plateau and if it is his wishes, then so bloody be it.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Plateau State, a predominantly Christian State has been declared on state of emergency by a Nigerian Christian President, Olusegun Obasanjo. Reasons being that the governor is incapable of handling the ongoing situation in the state. Plateau State now has a new Military administrator by name Chris Ali.
This is a brilliant approach, one would say but, no, it is rather an unfortunate situation. This, we see as Moslems' underground plan, cunningly passed to our brother the President and he fell for it.
You will recall that last week I informed you of the attack on Christians in Kano and the further plan that sent some Moslem militants from Kano and Bauchi, who arrived Dengi and were waiting to carry out attack on Langtang. Yesterday the Emir of Wase was with the COCIN President, deceiving him that they have sent back those Militants. Unknowingly to us, the Islamic leaders had finished their plans with the Federal government that our Governor will be dismissed today with the so call State of emergency. They only kept those militants ready to get in and kill people after the declaration. Today this afternoon and even as I am sending this report, the Militants have gone in and are attacking the Christians in the southern Plateau.
I quickly sent and information to the Police commissioner at about 2, o'clock, his response was there is no one to give him the order to go in and counter the militants. We phoned Abuja and there was no response from all the calls we made. Presently the attack is fully on and we cannot do anything about it.
Is there anything anybody can do about the lives perishing in Bakinchiyawa and Bakin- Rigiya now? Do the Christians in this region have a voice? Is there any reason why they must continue to languish in pain with no one standing for them?
We are praying for God to use anyone who can give his or her live for the truth of what is happening in Plateau State. May God find you as one? Amen

You're right on, it came to me precisely as you intended dear brother. You're alright with me I'm sure down the thread there might be instances to disagree no doubt when that time comes, we shall maintain the same level of civility. My arsenals are reserved for the outsiders, the foreigners in our land. Talk about "occupation."
Ohafia Udumeze:
I write with teary eye to inform ya that your emotional email really troubled me, I feel for them however, Ukaobasi's historical observation on the role they played with their northern brethren cannot be ignored. Note, neither Honorable Ukaobasi nor my humble self is delighted in what's happening to them we only hope this might be the wake-up call they've been waiting for. Dig?
How can a Christian president not protect his brethren in Christ from the vandal north? You would think this so-called Christian north would have learned their lesson by giving their total support to the Easterners. Their only reprieve can only come from an IGBO President 2007 that is if they don't remain clueless.

My brother don't hold your breath, like Ukoabasi I will proceed with caution on this issue. Too many times have Ndigbo been left carrying the bag, but I believe the equation is finally changing permanently up north. It's finally morning in the middlebelt and to them I say good morning sirs.
My concern is, how are we preparing for the onslaugth of the islamists ( it will definetly come)? Will Ndigbo leave their fate in the hands of a clueless Ohaneze or will somebody step out and pick up the mantle of leadership in the face of this looming danger. Let the Plateau people carry their own cross we need to begin to make haste before the sun sets on Nigeria.

Nnam, doesn't it feel great to be communicating with your fellow brothers without the intrusion of the foreigners in our country? Keep the faith as long as we have H.E. Emeka Ojukwu alive, we're alright though he's up in age but trust there's still some fight left in him. I hate that name "Oha...." whatever. I really do! Forget the BASTARDS and their stepchild - WIC another Efulefu of assembly. These confused guys constantly host thieving Igbo politicians without any meaningful effort to question their stewardship.

Biafrans at BNW, are you any better than the rulers of present day nigeria? Chanting evil war-songs, sinning by breaking commandment No 3, which forbids us to take the name of God in vain, calling on Jesus to kill a president, remaining silent at apparent display of evil (such as the postings of MeBiafran who is none other than Ukaobasi), your refusal to acquire unto yourself knowledge.....and so on. If folks like yourself had any political power in your unworthy hands, wouldn't you use it to open private accounts in Switzerland, transfer public funds into that account, sign secret assassination documents, and thus stain your hands with innocent blood (like nigierian/african politicians have been doing and will continue to do)?
How about juju? How many of you are into it, languishing under the command of some fetish-priest who dances around Python snakes in the jungle of Biafra?
You think you are different than Obasanjo, Abacha, Babangida, Buhari, Shagari, Murtala Mohammed, Gowon and Balewa, whose schools you attended in your youth, which is also the place where you received your indoctrination and back-ward mind?! You are true sons and daughters of those nigerian leaders. You have learned well from them and are thus behaving like them.
The postings which you write here, the insults you hurl at those who don't share your opinion, your brain-washed loyalty towards those losers who led igbo-land astray and your embarrassing lack of knowledge towards the origin of Biafra stinks to heaven.
In ten years you'll still be daydreaming, talking about "Hail Biafra" whereas the only thing that will be around is a stinking blood-filled gutter called nigeria.

This particular post by "othniel" does not make a scintilla of sense to me, you? He came across as someone bent out of shape that desires to be sanctimonious and seeking relevance.
With his minimalist understanding of what insult is the youth still does not realize the level of insults he's dished to the Igbo. Can he tell us the LITERAL meaning of benin, please?

This is the exact reasoning of all tyrannical, dictatorial and undemocratic leaders and governments all around the globe, including nigeria. Every anti-government opinion is simply classified as "an insult" and thus that person needs to be put away, right? This is what happened to Dele Giwa. He simply just wrote his opinions on paper. Are you better than those that killed him?
Shalom!
