fOLKS,
The day of reckoning is fast approaching. When leaders mis-rule, and refuse to listen to voice of sanity, the consequences are far greater than anyone can imagine. Ugali, Daud, Seun's and the rest of you, where are you now? The reality of the situation is fast exploding before all of us. The lies, and the injustice in Nigeria is becoming a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER.

It took the soviet union seventy years (70yrs) to realize that their union was not working.

MORE NIGERIA VIOLENCE LEAVES OBASANJ0'S GOVERNMENT STRUGGLING FOR CONTROL.

ew violent clashes were reported around Nigeria as the government of President Olusegun Obasanjo struggled to impose its authority on the increasingly restless and divided west African nation.

Spokesmen told AFP that security forces had over the past three days fought with armed militants in both a remote eastern region on the Cameroon border -- where "many people were killed" -- and in the oil-rich Niger Delta.

The renewed fighting in the south and east is unrelated to this month's bloody clashes between Christians and Muslims in the central state of Plateau and the northern city of Kano, but underlines the challenge facing Obasanjo.

On Sunday, a heavily-armed, illegal militia employing "guerrilla tactics" raided villages in the Kwande local government area of Benue State, in eastern Nigeria, Benue State police spokesman Bode Fakeye told AFP.

"The latest incident happened in Kwande local government area of the state. The area is volatile, where there have been series of attacks in recent months," Benue State police spokesman Bode Fakeye told AFP in a telephone interview.

"Many people were killed in the incident and hundreds of houses burnt. I don't want to volunteer any figure on casulties because it is only when bodies are recovered that the police will have a figure," he said.

Fakeye and Benue State government spokeswoman Becky Orpin said that the fighting was part of a political feud dating back to Nigeria's March 27 local elections, and was not linked to Muslim-Christian clashes further north.

"Our men are there to ensure peace but I must confess we are overwhelmed by the guerilla warfare of the militiamen," Fakeye said. "They use grenades and other sophisticated weapons. They attack policemen on sight."

Meanwhile, military spokesman Major Said Ahmed told AFP from the southern oil city of Warri that an army patrol had clashed with an armed gang attempting to extort money from one of the oil giants operating in the Niger Delta.

"There was a gun battle between soldiers and youths from Jeddo community on Monday. One of our men was injured," he said, in a telephone interview.

"The soldiers fired back and shot dead one of the youths and injured two others. Those injured have been arrested," he added, explaing that the gang had earlier seized an oil company vehicle and beaten its driver.

"They did this to extort money from the company," he added.

The new reports of violence came as Obasanjo's regime was going through one of the worst crises since Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999 and began what is still often called its "democratic experiment".

This troubled five-year-old project took a hit on Tuesday when the president moved to suspend Governor Joshua Dariye from office as head of Plateau State, replacing him with the region's former military administrator.

Obasanjo declared a state of emergency, and accused the Christian governor of standing by while a three-year-old turf war between the region's Christian and Muslim communities raged out of control, claiming hundreds of lives.

On May 2, a heavily armed militia from the Christian Tarok ethnic group raided the mainly Muslim market town of Yelwa in the south of Plateau State and slaughtered more than 200 people, triggering a massive refugee exodus.

The following week, in reprisal, Muslim mobs rioted in the northern city of Kano, driving 30,000 members of the Christian minority from their homes and killing dozens of them, perhaps hundreds according to Christian leaders.

On Tuesday, Obasanjo sent a stern warning that he would not tolerate further violence to Kano's Islamist governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, who had addressed a Muslim protest rally shortly before the riot erupted.

But Nigerian Christian leaders have accused Obasanjo of taking sides by deposing Plateau's Christian governor while leaving Shekarau in place.

Meanwhile, pro-democracy activists have denounced the state of emergency in Plateau, seeing in it the alleged authoritarian tendencies of Obasanjo, a former miltary ruler. They have called for the president's resignation.

Can you guys drop the hypocrisy and be more objective? Based on your sarcasm why did you folks engage in war sometimes ago and continue to resist being left alone? Why is obasanjo your kin unyielding in calling for SNC (Sovereign National Conference), which he desperately sort when he was under Abacha's gulag? Strange, huh? Precisely!

Why are you surprise on what Bababoyz will say in this situation. Don't you know that his father used to be #1 corrupt Nigerian before Obusonju his uncle broke Adewusi's record. I am Talking about IG Sunday Adewusi, who is Bababoyz Daddy dearest. Don't you know that it was our public money that IG Adewusi stole that he used to send Bababoyz to America.

People like babyboyz Adewusi miss a hearth beat when they hear of Ndigbo leaving them to their faith. The gravy train is fast coming to halt and all the free loaders will need to disembark. Enough of the coat tailing, people can't hope to build a paradise on Igbo sweat.

Bomboyz Adewusi represents all that is wrong with the fraudulent setup called BiafraNigeria. I remember Amanda chastizing him for baby sitting while his wife slaved away at hospital wards. How do you expect people with this type of mentality to imagine life without Igbo support ?
