In the history of the National Assembly, last week Wednesday nearly stood out as the most eventful. That day, the South East caucus in the House of Representatives almost resigned en-mass over the recent ethno-religious crises, especially as they affect the people of the South East.
That day, the story had got to Abuja that there was a plan for another procession in Kano for this weekend. Thus, the representative from the South East caucus, Mr. Gilbert Nnaji, summoned other representatives for a meeting. There, it was agreed that the Igbo would no longer be allowed to be massacred first, then afterwards, there would be stringent talks against such violence, and blames would be traded but nothing would be done until the next round of killings would happen.
What should they do? What would be the best way to draw attention to the problem? Hon. Noyerem Macebuh, the younger brother of Dr. Stanley Macebuh, counseled that they should resign en-mass and that they should only return to the National Assembly if Nigeria becomes safe for the Igboman. This last ditch option was accepted as a way to best dramatise the problem and find a final solution to the problem of every inter-ethnic crisis in the North often turn into an orgy of killing in which the Igbos are made scape goats.
Then someone advised that they first talk to the House Speaker, Alhaji Masari. At the meeting, they told Masari that the main problem was that though the last Kano killings were said to be reprisals for the killings in Plateau, yet the Igbo were the main targets and they suffered the most loss.
Masari counseled against the resignation. He told them that such an action could bring back the idea of Biafra and the civil war and flare up tempers. Then he telephoned the Kano state Governor to advise that no procession should be allowed to hold in Kano until further notice. At first, the Governor could not be reached as he was said to have been at a meeting with his security council.
Then, Masari called in the State Security Service (SSS) Director in the National Assembly who was briefed to take the message to his Director General, Col Kayode Areh (rtd). The SSS reassured the South East Representatives that the situation in Kano was under control.
It was not until later in the day that the Kano state governor returned the call and assured that he would not allow the feared public procession to take place that the South East Representatives withdrew their threat of mass resignation and they thanked Masari profusely.

Folks, Must we get to this point before the safety of Igbo's is granteed in Nigeria? If this story is true, We have no business being part of Nigeria one day longer. What is Obasanjo's take on this?
It took the former soviet union seventy years to realize that the union could no longer hold together. It is time to let Biafrans go.

Chima my brother Obasanjo is a coward and awol whenever important issues that concerns Igbos and christians comes up. I think is time Biafran starts fighting fire with fire. No more running back home, I think Our brothers and sisters in the North should arm themselves and fight back, that is the only language those fools will understand.
I have spoken to at least two Igbo Legislators and they assured me that no such thing as published took place. What the APGA chap said was that it was a ploy by Obasanjo loyalist led by his media adviser (Stanley Macebuh) to con Igbo people into thinking that they have representatives in the house thereby killing off the agitation for a proper conference with properly chosen Igbo delegates. The APGA guy sadi we should ask the brave hearts where why they endorsed Aremu's dictatorship in Jos knowing fully well that Joshua Dariye was friendly towards the Igbo who are mostly Christians as well.

Umu Igbo/Biafra:
The quote above is the raw truth on this matter. Brave Hearts my foot, and that is using Obusonjo's now infamous denigration of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
There is a serious effort being made here to manipulate the press and re-present OBJ as the emancipator of the Igbo people.
They are even doing it on this message board, by cloning themselves as Ngbati people. I am happy that Chiboy quickly saw through this in another thread and properly situated it.
Stanley Macebuh has been fingered as the coordinator of this well packaged onslaught that has three objectives:
1. To launder OBJ's widely authenticated image as a pathological hater of the Igbo people to a lover and the "liberator" of Igbo people.
2. To slow down the tempo of the clamour and acceptance of Biafra as the only option for the Igbo people to realise themselves in security and prosperity.
It is important that I emphasize that Biafra and the quest for it, remain the only news worthy item in the former Eastern Region and beyond presently.
This has gained further acceptance after the Kano massacre of the Igbo people and other Christians by the Jihadists that enjoy the support of not only their religious and traditional leaders, but also their leaders in government at all levels of governance in BiafraNigeria.
3. To ensure that in the event of a SNC, the true and patriotic leaders of the Igbo people do not represent them at the confab. This objective has already been noted by Maazi Udumeze.
It is very sad that Stanley Macebuh has degenerated to this level. Really, it is despicable.
We must be on our gaurd and remain resolute on using BICON working with MASSOB to pursue that which is in the best interest of our people today and generations to come.
