Preventing Ethnic Cleansing: Combating Balkan / Secessionist Tendencies in Nigeria

It used to be that secessionist atomism was left to troublemakers from the Southeast a la the "Biafra" chimera. Now, some mischief makers in the North, in the Benue/Plateau parts are threatening to balkanize the North. Solomon Lar a , a minority man who benefited more than most from a united North, now wants to create a Middle-Belt chimera separate from the North. While we have brought Southeastern troublemakers under control, we have to ensure that trouble does not spring from places that we pacified a long time ago. This is why responsible citizens must support the move to stop the ethnic-cleansing, restore order, and give hope to all citizens in Plateau State. Lar should should be apprehended if necessary to stop his incitement and balkanization antics.

NB: It's good to be back. I had no idea why I was un-subscribed in the first place.

Adamu:
Welcome back.
Do you think apprehending and stopping everyone that says give my people a FAIR DEAL will deter people from talking about balkanization? Though I have said it before, but for yours and others who must not have read me, I will repeat it again. What breds the quest for separation, be it by the Southeasteners and now by the Middle Belters, is not because people are power hungry. On the contrary, when you go deeper into the problem, you will discover that it has to do with long years of neglect; COMPLETE ABANDONMENT in the case of the Igbos.
Mind you, this is not making a case for the Middle Belters who still owe we Igbos apologies and restitution for their role in the Nigerian civil war. After all, it was their taking side with the core North then that brought the Nigerian nation in the FIX she is today.

That said, I still think that every ethnic group in Nigeria (the Middle Belters included) has every right to seek for PEACEFUL separation from the artificial creation called Nigeria.

I for one will stand for and support Nd'Igbo quest for an IGBO NATION (dont ask me the name). I dont mind if it comes via the much talked SNC or any other PEACEFUL means.
Does that make Nwa Aro any bad or better than 'Adamu' who wants to continue with the Nigerian contraption? You be the judge.

And you wonder if ever the north understand the meaning of democracy and it's constituents other than their right to enforce sharia on people. Adamu lives in a western society, Texas that is and enjoys the luxury of free speech as one major consituents of any free world, yet he wants Solomon Lar not to exercise his right to speak his mind.
It is fair to say that democracy will never work in Nigeria because their leaders have been indifferent to the system. Buhari, Babbagida, Murtala Mohammed, Gowon, Abacha and others are in records against a free and just society.
Adamu, Lar should not be apprehended because he is simply expressing his right to speak as a citizen. No crime has been committed. Copy that.

Hail Biafra
