Well well, and they said Ndigbo were the only greedy ones. Here we see the blood brother of the much touted June 12 hero publicly piss on his brother grave. So all the noise about IBB never ruling BiafraNigeria again was just another " if the east goes the west will go" kind of talk. How long before Abacha's son is crowned in Abeokuta, any bets !!!

Responding, Alhaji Mubashiru Abiola whose house is currently under renovation accepted the new role as patron of IBB Vision 2007 offered him and prayed for the group’s success. Deferring comments for another day, Alhaji Abiola said: “I don’t have much to say today and for now, I reserve my comments but I accept to serve as patron wholeheartedly.”

Any need to ask who is footing the bill for the renovation of Alhaji Mubashiru Abiola's house ?

Chiboy:

The funny thing is that if another NADECO emerges tomorrow under circumstances similar to the so-called June 12 mandate, you will see "Igbo elite" jump in like fools to actualize a mandate of rogues, all in the name of fighting for democracy. Igbo journalists, lawyers, and activists were still hiding from Abacha, when Yoruba elite turned up at Aso Rock to pledge their allegiance to the mad man.

Now, Abiola's family is working to bring back to power the man who raped their "Bashorun" and sent him to an early grave. But, Igbo efulefu, Orji Kalu, is running political errands against the gap-toothed crook, IBB, while pledging his loyalty to the mass-murderer-in-the-making, Atiku Abubakar. Tufiakwa!

This is the people we are my brother the only sad aspect is the Yoruba/Bini ever ingratitudeness and based on this I did say let's allow them to hang themselves. What a tribal shame!

When I read that yesterday on BNW I paused and for a brief moment wondered under what condition and what amount of quid would make me do such. NONE/NEVER/EVER; ok, ok lemme waffle, I did support this IBB fella if he killed a loved one of mine if IBB is 90 yrs old and bring his grand father with him to beg me. How about that?

Maybe is too early in the morning or lack of breakfast but I do not understand your "signature" line, could you please explain?

You need not worry about Orji the fellow knows when to bail from a sinking ship and you gotta give that to him. Something tells me Atiku is not yet done and may have a major ace up his sleeves.
I don't expect him to go without a fight, it might yet be bloody given his impressive war chest.

The jokers are the Igbo presidency crowd, the presidency is definetly going north and the north is bound to reward the South South with the VP position for not joining the Igbo Efulefu to antagonize them. The likes of Orji being the shameless human beings they are will always re-invent themselves so don't be surprised to see him at the right hand side of the gap toothed general if he emerges victorious.

Abiola’s spirit is aggrieved over IBB's visit – Gani
By Adesina Aiyekoti and Ola Agbaje, Monday, April 25, 2005

Twelve years after he annulled the electoral victory of his late friend, Chief M.K.O. Abiola, former president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida recently summoned courage to visit the family of his late friend purportedly to attend the wedding ceremony of one of Abiola’s daughters.

The visit has drawn the ire of Abiola’s lawyer and foremost human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN) who described it as patently obscene and a monumental insult to the memory of the late winner of the 1993 June 12 presidential election.

"That visit was obscene and highly scandalous. I am highly disappointed in those who welcomed Babangida into Abiola’s residence. I am sure and I have no doubt that the spirit of Abiola will be very, very angry. He would be very angry in his grave that a man who caused such devastation to his life should be given such treatment."
According to Gani, a close reading of Abiola’s trajectory of travail should be enough to make IBB a permanent enemy of the family and declared a persona non grata in his residence.

"The visit should open the eyes of many people. Why did he wait for so long-12 years after? When Kudirat was murdered, where was Babangida? When Abiola was arrested, where was Babangida? When Abiola was murdered, where was Babangida? He did not visit in 1993, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 2001 – 2005. So, is it now that 2007 is around the corner and he wants to contest that he deems it fit to visit because he is haunted by Abiola, Abiola, Abiola so he must do something about it. "But it is too late. The pain he inflicted on Nigerians has gone to the marrow. No amount of visit; not even one million visits can wipe out the pains and the indelible mark of IBB’s treachery, ungodliness, and inhumanity.

“He’s seeking power now, by the grace of God he will not get it . He denied Abiola that power; he will not get it." “I have no doubt in my mind that MKO’s spirit will be very angry for that visit. He would be very angry in his grave, that a man who caused so much devastation to his life and robbed him and the masses of our people the opportunity of having a leader of MKO Abiola’s status; a man who ensured the nullification of the result, which led to his arrest and incarceration for four years and finally his death. The thing is that a man like Babangida who has no sense of shame can always do ungodly things. “If he visited Abiola’s grave as reported, then he was there without any feeling. Evil men don’t have feeling. He merely went there not as a compassionate human being but in his own perverted sense of thinking; that he had finally conquered MKO. He went there as a conqueror. He went there to say that he conquered MKO Abiola.

“But let him know and be assured that he never conquered MKO Abiola and can never do that. He merely postponed the salvation of the Nigerian people. One of these days, that salvation will come and all evil men in this country will pay the supreme price for their perfidy; for the murderous act that Babangida had done to the Nigerian people and to one of his best friends, Chief MKO Abiola who he denied the legitimate right to govern the country; caused his detention for four years and finally his murder. If that election had not been nullified illegally, Abiola would not have been arrested and if Abiola had not been arrested, he would not have been murdered. And that is why I say visiting that grave by IBB is a symbol of luciferic man who has no human feelings because evil men have no feeling like you and I.”

IBB’ invitation to MKO’s daughter’s wedding
I don’t know why he had been invited in the first place. It is like surviving children or grand children of victims of holocaust inviting Adolf Hitler to the wedding of their family. That should not have happened. Babangida to my understanding at any event should be a permanent enemy of that family and a permanent enemy of Nigerian people who have been denied the opportunity of MKO’s rule in his great manifesto "Farewell to poverty".
He should not have been invited. He should have been declared persona non grata in that family.

Between IBB and MKO
MKO was so close to him that you could never suspect any treachery or betrayal. Before Abiola ventured into that election, he asked him if he should participate or not. He gave him his blessing. He knew MKO was winning. He stopped the counting of the vote and later annulled the election.
In 1998, MKO having spent four years in prison, he could have been released. Babangida had the opportunity to influence his release. He said Abiola was his best friend, yet he robbed him his electoral victory and when the time came to rescue him from the dungeon, he dodged it.

Why I avoid IBB
It is not only IBB I don’t like to be associated with. There are quite a number of such characters. But frankly speaking, I don’t like the man.
Everything about him is wrong. Everything about that man is fake. He looks to me a sadist. A man who does not have the feelings about doing something terribly wrong; A man who remains calm, cool and is concerned after wreacking serious havoc. That is not the type of person I will be proud to be seen with.

You can remember the case of his bosom friend who was a military man like him. I learnt that he was even his bestman at his wedding ceremony, the late Major General Mamman Vasta. He was also a writer which was quite unusual. When most of his colleagues would be relaxing with wine and pepper soup, he always channelled his creative energy into intellectual work and literary works. That was an aspect of his life that endeared him to Soyinka and Achebe. They went to IBB to plead for him. He just smiled at them and hardly had they left the place than the man was executed. Yet, he was his best friend. I cannot do that.

Dele Giwa
No. I have not given up on Dele Giwa. I can never give up on that matter. When Obasanjo set up Oputa panel, in order to give it 100 per cent concentration and commitment, I refused to file any memorandum on my own series of illegal detentions by the various military dictators. I concentrated all my energy and devotion on Dele Giwa. And we were making headway. Happily, Oputa has recommended that the issue should be re-opened. That was the reason Babangida ran to the High Court and up to the Supreme Court. And you know the case is Gani Fawehinmi Vs Babangida in the Supreme Court. No I can never give up.

Recently, A.K. Togun wrote a book and in that book, he insinuated against me that why I continued to fight Babangida’s government was because they denied me the opportunity of getting advantage of something in the United States of America. That is pure jargon.
Let me state here that if Togun thinks that the end of Dele Giwa’s matter has come; if Akilu thinks that matter has closed; if Babangida thinks that Dele Giwa’s matter is sealed, they are all living in a world of fantasy, gross fallacy and irresponsible self-delusion.
When I will re-open some aspects of Dele Giwa’s matter, it will be very, very strategic and that is what I am waiting for.

Each time I look at the letter IBB wrote to Dele Giwa and two others entitled "the three musketeers" in October 1985, he described them as his friends.
You know what happened at Ejigbo when a military plane crashed and how Babangida was standing on the podium with the coffins of several military officers. He never shed a drop of tear. He was a human being before he became a soldier.

God saved Nigeria from IBB, so if I you look at all this, you will agree with me that it was sheer God’s intervention that saved this country from IBB’s eight years of misrule which culminated in Pius Okigbo’s commission report which indicted him and his regime of mismanagement, corruption and stealing of $12.5 billion Gulf war windfall. He destroyed our currency and messed up the system through such spurious institutions like MAMSER and DIFRRI. And now he thinks he can come back into power. Let him be assured that some of us will fight and fight to ensure that his type never governs us again.

Efulefu is efulefu is efulefu everywhere!! Can you hear me fellas? I say an efulefu (no-good) is just that no matter where it is found. What possible explanation do the Abiola kids have for insulting their father’s memory? God they say works in mysterious ways I guess He alone knew why life was snuffed out of Abiola and his Islamic belief. Knowing all the things I know about the violence of this cult and the attitude of the Abiola’s family, I say thank God he disappeared from the face of the earth. The Abiola's are beginning to look to me like the new efulefus in the west.

Now, to an Igbo big time efulefu, Ironsi's son. During a trip to their Abuja around 1998 I saw this efulefu son - (mooning the efulefu son) of General Ironsi galloping and hanging around theophilus danjuma who it was that orchestrated his father’s violent death in collaboration with his northern desperadoes. Today, thanks to danjuma, he’s the nigerian ambassador in the tiny country of Ivory Coast. Question, what would possibly make a person hang around his/her father’s killers, unless of course that person is an undiluted idiotic efelefu? -
