Now, if you are not a northerner (oh Zamfarist), you are not permitted to attend public schools in Zamfara:
quote:
Zamfara bans non-indigenes from public schools

From Isah Ibrahim, Gusau

FOR non-indigenes who are pupils in Zamfara State, the payment of compulsory fees is not the end of their educational burden.

They have now also been banned from public schools. The Zamfara State government recently introduced the policy that made the payment of school fees by non-indigenes compulsory.

A committee has already been set up by the state government to screen non-indigenes from among the candidates short-listed for admission into post-primary schools. More...

Where does Zamfara get the money to operate its public schools.

We are not going to admit any non-indigene in our public schools. Until when we obtain a vacant number after admitting the indigenes, then we can afford to give them admission because we want to first satisfy the need and aspirations of our people."

In the best of times, there are usually more empty desks in the classrooms than students. I wonder what these knuckleheads are thinking, now those southern teachers have their works cut out for them, less homework to grade, less night study to do (Less challenges from students during and after class). I guess their educational system will come out stronger than ever. What a shame.

Zamfara state should be banned from recieving any allocation gained from oil sales.Zamfara typifies the hipocrisy of one Nigeria.Where some nigerian citizens are banned from enlisting in public schools inside Nigeria.Yeah ! one Nigeria indeed.

njiko umuigbo:

We read you loud and clear. Just don't relent! In a month you have taken a position some before you have no balls to take. The exact stuff I did and continued that drew the wrath of the yorobas as if I really care. You can never ever read where a yoroba finds the crappy s*h*i*t that goes on in the whole of northern areas of that goddamn nation against the Igbo vile. Noooo, they feel it's normal as far as it affects only the Igbo yet when we speak up, can you imagine a yoroba of all people calling the Igbo tribal? What the hell does that mean since I've no idea?

In behalf of all the true sons and daughters of the Igbo Nation in the house, I welcome and thank ya.
