Igbo efulefu will once again be gathering in the US for this year's WIC annual meeting. This time, they are meeting in Newark, New Jersey. So close to the success of MASSOB on Biafra Day, what could these Igbo traitors be meeting for? I have gathered that genuine Biafran groups are boycotting the meeting. Even groups like BF are abstainning. WIC should change its name to IEC (Igbo Efulefu Congress).

WIC better known as WEAK continues to affirm their EFULEFU [Efulefu Smash] undisputable title with their usual embarrassment in NJ. BIAFRANS, these wicked and unknown idiots are after their pocket books and stomachs therefore I call on all true sons and daughters of Igbo nation to ignore these scam artists. If you're a member please withdraw immediately those whose agenda is to secure friendships with our enemies are using you. I'm still at a loss how Diogu Kalu would pour such encomiums on Buhari who scuttled a democratic system in the palmy nation the yoroba/bini folks call nigeria?

Buhari@WIC Convention. The keynote speaker was Buhari of all people. Ridiculous!

Kalu Diogu is a cancer that is eating on the Foundation of Igbos, unless we killing all the cells of this cancer through chemo-therapy, this cancer may distroy the fabrics of Igbo land.

These jobless old Igbo men will never stop disgracing themselves, one would have to be very stupid to spend time and effort to go to an Igbo meeting with an arch islamist like Buhari sitting at the high table and insulting Achuzia. I guess tommorrow it will be the turn of the Sabo's like Iwuanyanwu, Ngige, Ubah, Maduekwe etc. Somebody should please tell Buhari that Ndigbo do not have both hands in their mouth. The original hand is the Biafran hand, the second hand he is seeing is the hand of the sabo's and that hand does not look Igbo. We don't need him telling us about Igbo engineers we already know what they can do, how come he did not remember that when he lived in dodan barracks.

I hear some supposedly pro Biafran groups have gone to this WIC bazaar, I hope they didn't hide them in the toilet when Buhari was speaking. Diogu and co. will probably not risk being in the company of Biafrans when a potential Aso rock occupant is speaking. Any adult Igbo person who still does not know where to go or who to listen to does not deserve my sympathy. A happy jamboree to WIC, I hope to see you in Abuja soon.

Nothing wrong with the visit by Buhari. We need to find ways to work with our African mates to move Igboland and Nigeria forward. I commend Igbo - USA, NJ for inviting Mr. Buhari and Dr. Diogu (a long time friend) for his able leadership of WIC these past few years.

Ofu onye ana asi unu abia go.

Ednut:

More than a lot is supremely wrong with this stupid visit by someone who used the freaking visit to pour loads of insults on the Igbo. Or couldn't this Diogu and company decode a veiled insult by Buhari whose military career was defined by failures? A great and reasonable majority of Igbo would find your statement offensive if I'm to be candid with you.

See, this is the problem in Igboland, despite the numerous snafus by Diogu Kalu and WIC you still see him as such a great achiever based on your friendship with him. If this is okay why then do you condemn Okenwa Nwosu who might be protecting and defending those he share friendships with? All the other fellas we view as efulefus cannot be bad in their friend’s eyes yet we know better. There was no sense in inviting an arch sharia proponent to an all Igbo conference. A Moslem edict mostly used to screw the Igbo up is what Buhari wants for the whole of Nigeria yet no one found it necessary to lob a hard-nosed question at this loser. In order to remain objective your friendship with whomever must be separated since we all could make excuse for all our errant friends.

quote:
We don't need him telling us about Igbo engineers we already know what they can do, how come he did not remember that when he lived in dodan barracks.
Please answer the question above and tell us what WIC/WEAK has achieved in more than ten years of its inception. Thanks and a great weekend to ya.

Ben Oghre one of Buhari's northern neighbors rightly does not see him as anything past a failure so why should the Igbo elevate him as a statesman?

Goodluck to you and Diogu, I only blame those who were foolish enough to go and sit down and listen to a man who formed a governing council without a single Igbo member lecture Ndigbo on how protect their interest in Nigeria. I hope Diogu and co. invite Obasanjo soon, who better to move Ndigbo and BiafraNigeria forward.

Ednut First of all you need to go home to Igboland and learn how to say Igbo adage. I am surprise that you are allowing yourself to blinded by your friendship with Kalu Diogu. Why not change the name to world Nigeria Congress instead of world Igbo Congress, so that some of us hard core Igbos will not bother to read or listen to the garbages that comes out from such efulefu gathering.

Ednut,

In as much as First Amendment of the United States Constitution gives you Freedom of Speech, you of all people should know that what you stated above does not belong in this thread full of red blood breeding Biafrans.

You should realize that such comment will invite a red blooded Biafran to be on you like white on rice.

My advice to you is to quit while you are ahead, that is to say make no more such comments in here.

WIC is useless to Igbo people and Biafrans. That is why WIC is patronized by Igbo-haters from across BiafraNigeria. I agree with Nnamdi when he wrote in another forum,
quote:
Umu Igbo:

Kalu Diogu now belongs in the Igbo Hall of Shame. When former WIC chairman, Austin Egwuonwu, invited Abubakar Rimi to attend WIC convention a few years ago, at least one could say that Egwuonwu did not know it would create great divisions amongst Igbo people. Now, Kalu Diogu invited Hausa-Fulani Sharia-monger Muhammadu Buhari to WIC in New Jersey where Buhari insulted Achuzia, insulted Igbo people, and insulted the memory of the people that perished in that war in which Buhari was a butcher of Biafrans. Kalu Diogu used Buhari to defile Igboland, surrendering our sacred Kola ceremony to onye awusa thereby desecrating the ceremony. Tufiakwa!

Kalu Diogu's motivations are simple; it is all about getting contracts and getting a job from his masters in Abuja. We all know that Diogu has been laid off by his former employer, Motorola, and Diogu is now an Abuja jobber and contract seeker who uses his shameful KKAditel 419 outfit to seek all kinds of jobs and contracts from Abuja. I thought we had decided that people who are unemployed should not head Igbo Diaspora organizations.

I will personally see to it that Kalu Diogu is not taken seriously if he ever tries to tell us that his fellow efulefu belong to the Igbo Hall of Shame any more than he does. Diogu is an Igbo traitor.

This is why BLM and BICON refused to wine and dine with those traitors in WIC and we dumped WIC's invitation in the dumpster. The Austin Egwuonwu era at WIC suddenly looks like the good old days at least when compared with the disgraceful Kalu Diogu.

Nnamdi.

Please, Chief Uwazuruike should stop going to WIC. His presence at WIC events is now bringing disgrace to Biafra and to the cause that Uwazuruike is supposed to be fighting for.

Fellas,

The presence of the awusa procreator of sharia mess, Buhari should convince even the most ardent supporter of WIC that it's a breeding and recruiting ground for Igbo efulefus [Efulefu Smash] Any attempt to defend this outcast of a union would only expose the inglorious defender as “them them” moreover when there’s no precedent for a yoroba/bini/awusa organization ever extending invitation to a proponent of BIAFRAN. Why must we continue to let these failures in WIC sell us to the lowest and first bidder? Don’t take my words all one gotta do is take stock of her members there you would find overpopulation of efulefus, jobbers, dunces with exaggerated academic credential without good parental upbringing. Only someone raised by a philandering wayward bitch would instead of being his brother’s keeper constantly sells him cheap.

Why did Odoemene post this at Gamji but not here:
quote:
Nigerian Ambassador to USA strikes Ndi-Igbo at the World Igbo Congress.

By

Philip Odoemena

Odobi@aol.com

The 10th annual convention of the World Igbo Congress (WIC) held in Newark , New Jersey came to an end on Sunday, September 5th 2003 . From all indications, especially, in terms of substance, the 2004 convention will eventually bring in some dividends. The convention kicked off in a positive mode with various activities, including, but not limited to the presentations delivered on Friday September 3rd 2004 by two prominent Igbo sons namely, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, former governor of Abia State , and Professor George Obiozor, the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States of America . It was a full house, members of the audience included Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Dr. Idika Kalu, former federal finance minister, Chief Chekwas Okorie, the APGA chairman, and many others.

The diplomat wasn’t nearly so diplomatic last Friday. After explaining what he believed was holding Ndiigbo back in term of progress in the Nigeria complex society, professor Obiozor told his audience

“We are our own worst enemies. Other Nigerian majority ethnic groups have achieved their own desired and desirable objectives within the Nigerian political system. It is therefore time to ask ourselves the hard questions, re-examine ourselves, our motives and efforts to know why we have failed so often where our competitors have succeeded.”

Mixing his serious presentations with occasional jokes, the Ambassador probably got more attention than any other presenter during the entire World Igbo Congress events. But what made him so unique in his presentation was the way he delivered serious issues without mincing words. No soon than the audience came out from laughing their hearts out, than the learned envoy strikes again.

“Our unbelievable and consistent self doubt. Self-doubt among the Igbo political and economic elites has been a source of our difficulties in Nigeria . And to that extent, we are our own worst enemies. It is self-doubt that compels our people, our elites particularly to the propensity to whenever they are offered opportunity to choose, they rush with deadly speed to choose other peoples heroes and publicly condemn their own heroes unashamed and without remorse. We must learn to appreciate our people as much as we appreciate others. Self-hate has got us no where.” Obiozor Said.

I guess Professor Obiozor was just trying to do what's best for the Ndi-Igbo. I guess all he was doing was for Ndi-Igbo to recognize the need for self re-evaluation. May be, the ambassador was advising Ndi-Igbo to work as a team and with one common mission. As he pointed his figures to the audience, he advised them to:

“Stop this self-negation syndrome. We need a drastic change of attitude towards ourselves. We need to recognize that in any decent society a constituted leadership or authority is ‘sacred’ in one way and a ‘sanctuary’ in another way. It is time for our people, particularly our elites to recognize that there is a moral limit to self-criticism and brazen attack on constituted authority. No government is ready or willing to make a good deal with its enemies. It therefore pays to observe the rules of decency both in, our personal, human and public affairs.”

Professor Obiozor, though, thinks Ndi-Igbo has wasted enough time dwelling on the negative aspects of working out the kinks in order to reap the benefits from the resources that we are endowed in Nigeria . He is confident and getting more comfortable, that a change of attitude will be good for Ndi-Igbo. On this note, he cautioned Ndi-Igbo to:

“Look at bright side of Nigeria ’s nation-building experiment, be an optimist, and be part of the solution of Nigeria ’s many problems. You have the capacity as individuals and groups to make a difference in your respective Local governments, in your respective States, and certainly within the whole country. Choose your goals and objectives and follow your own destiny,”

Listening to Ambassador Obiozor's speech, one continues to want to listen to him. One observer said, “You have to listen to him whether you're a politician or a businessman. This man is not biting his tongue”. To some, the professor may be hitting hard, to some, what he said wasn’t negative or meant to knock toward anybody, but to say it the way he felt about Ndi-Igbo in a Nigerian society. Therefore, he advised Ndi-Igbo thus:

“We need friends, real friends in a United Nigeria. (A country) where the real destiny of the nation can only be realized, the moment we all, regardless of our diversity recognize that we are “Our Brothers Keeper’.” He further said: “Our greatest contribution to Nigeria continues to be our ability to adjust, integrate and contribute to the building of a great nation wherever we live in Nigeria .” In some cases the experiences have been bad and bitter, but in general, the experiences and successes of our people across the length and breath of Nigeria have equally been unprecedented. And we should be grateful to God and our country for the privilege of sharing both the pains and prosperity associated with the history of Nigeria . We are a great people, we have a great country and quite often, greatness is accompanied by pain, sorrow, grief, but eventually in the ultimate triumph of good over evil.”

Finally, as a party loyalist, the learned Nigerian Ambassador to the United States urged Ndi-Igbo to

“Be bold and clear in support of President (Olusegun) Obasanjo’s administration, maintaining that the process of building democratic institutions and good governance are the priorities of the present administration. We all know that even the world’s oldest/mature democracies have their own problems and the emerging democracies such as our own equally do have their teething moments.”

While concluding his speech, he advised Nigerians living in the United States and North America to make their impact felt in Nigeria .

“Nigerians in the United States represent the, most sophisticated and skilled of Nigeria ’s human resources. Nigerian human resources of which constitute an essential element and the country’s natural resources ensure a place of honor and relevance for Nigeria within the present international system, international peace and security. But above all, peace and stability in Africa in general and West Africa in particular will be inconceivable without Nigeria ’s contribution. As Nigerians therefore, we should be proud of ourselves and our country, as well as our contributions towards peace, security and political stability in Africa and the world.

Obiozor is an educated moron. No wonder he landed a job in the Obasanjo regime. It is absolutely shameful that an Igbo man would call upon other Igbo to support a bloodthirsty election rigger like Obasanjo. All the Igbo people who sat quietly and listened to that garbage are saboteurs. This Odoemena clown is looking for a job at Obasanjo's embassy in Washington.

Christian Chukwu works for BiafraNigeria. He is doing a good job. So, why do Obiozor's mentors want to replace Chukwu with a foreign coach? Is it not because he is Igbo?

This ambassador of nigeria seems to speak the language of a House Slave - someone glad to have been made a nigerian ambassador by a truely dense yoroba moron and sent to the US to achieve nothing.
If he doesn't state his stand on issues concerning Biafra, soon he will be defined and consigned to the Igbo Hall of Shame as a saboteur efulefu slave of the Yoroba/Hausa.

Emenike Nwankwo analysing the nigerian ambassador's remarks at WIC:

Professor Obiozor, though, thinks Ndi-Igbo have wasted enough time dwelling on the negative aspects of working out the kinks in order to reap the benefits from the resources that we are endowed in Nigeria. He is confident and getting more comfortable, that a change of attitude will be good for Ndi-Igbo. On this note, he cautioned Ndi-Igbo to:

"Look at bright side of Nigeria's nation-building experiment, be an optimist, and be part of the solution of Nigeria's many problems. You have the capacity as individuals and groups to make a difference in your respective Local governments, in your respective States, and certainly within the whole country. Choose your goals and objectives and follow your own destiny,"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"One question we must ask [Mr. ambassador of nigeria] is how does he suggest we make such when those Diaspora Igbo who go home with money get targeted for death or robbery and those with political interest get threatened with destruction? How can we reduce the risk when we must arrive to enemy teritory before heading to alaigbo. If he travels through public air transport back to Nigeria he will notice as always that at least 70% of the air persengers are Igbo people going to the East. Yet they must arrive first in kano(North), Abuja (north), Lagos (West), or lately and occasionaly PH(SouthSouth). The question he must ask his masters is why does the brightside elude the East in their projects?..." Mz Nwankwo

Nwannaa,

Again spot on. Make you no mind the Obiozor chappie. He is a walking disaster, to say the very least. He is grossly unfit to bear the great Igbo identity.

Note that all of those people speaking long-winded grammer (ogonogo oyibo) at the WIC convention had had to go through hostile territories to get from Igboland to New Jersey or wherever. In the process, anything could have happened including sabotage. If the funny-looking-lad Atiku would have to go through Enugu to Jedda, he would think twice before opening his mout about MASSOB and the Igbo.

So in fact, if the Yoruba or Hausa sneeze today in nigeria, those Igbo chappies would all catch cold. For example, Arthur Nzeribe was spitting fire, even filing motions to impeach obasanjo, until he was declared persona non-grata in Lagos, then he went and sat down. Same goes for all the Igbo noise makers.

While we are on it, Igboland is being raped by illiterate mallams as the massive amount of foreign earnings of the Igbo Diaspora remitted to nigeria daily is sterilized in Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc, thus denying the Igbo homeland of the benefits of our toiling abroad, which should have transformed the standard of living throughout Igboland.

Now, instead of the Igbo to talk about specific measurable projects that would enhance our autonomy, they dwell on pointless abstractions and invite Obiozor, an arch traitor to spew trash while they sat and listened. Presumably Mz Obiozor never heard of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Owerri-Onitsha road, Obuaku City, 2nd Niger Bridge, Onitsha Port, Alaoji and Oji River power plants etc. Tufia!

Meanwhile, as we speak, the Ijaw are busy destabilizing Port Harcourt because Shell, Exxon, Mobil etc. have resolved to move their HQs to PH. And yet Ndiigbo have not even started to reckon with the strategic importance of Obuaku City - the New Port Harcourt.

Amadi O.:

May that which protects Igboland be with you for thy cry and shout which bellows over the mountains has been heard by all the villages and hamlets, cities and towns. Cry for thou art the worthy son of thy father oh yea great one! You're unquestionably the son of the soil and an example as to how a true Igbo/BIAFRAN should act without pandering to our eternal haters. Although I must add infectious imposters whose only claim to writing is their tired nigeria or never nonsense do distract us from time to time. People, men of yesteryears (Honorable Opkara, Sir Ibiam, Mazi Mbakwe, General Ironsi etc) already gave the "one nigeria" crap a try without success while I remind those of you that still believe in your nigeria that these men were not driven by blood money obasanjo, a yoroba took to all time high, a new low.

We're definitely taking count of the true sons of the soil!

The efulefu have issued a communique:
quote:
The Secretariat, World Igbo Congress, Inc.

1107 Drew Street, Houston, Texas 77004

Monday, September 6, 2004

Communique

A communiqué issued by World Igbo Congress at the end of the 10th Annual Convention of World Igbo Congress held at Sheraton Airport Hotel, Newark, New Jersey, USA, from Wednesday, September 1 to Monday, September 6, 2004:

I: This Convention was unique as it marked the 10th Anniversary of the World Igbo Congress, and the beginning of a renewed vision for Ndiigbo. The Convention Keynote speaker was the President-General of Ohanaeze NdiIgbo, Prof. Joe Irukwu, SAN. The theme of the Convention was: “Ka anyi jikota onu” (Let us all unite)

II: The key issues discussed focused on strategies that would utilize the enormous human and material resources available to the Igbo people worldwide for the advancement of Igbo as a united, peace-loving, and progressive people.

III: In attendance were Igbo people and friends of Ndiigbo from across the United States of America, Nigeria, United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, and Japan.

IV: Therefore, DETERMINED that Igboland and its citizens must be united to take a pride of place in Nigeria and the world over, the Igbo people attending the World Igbo Congress DELIBRATED, DECIDED, and DECLARED as follows:

1. That working with Ohanaeze Ndiigbo, the World Igbo Congress would hold its first Igbo Summit in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria, in December 2004.

2. To adopt the comprehensive Roadmap strategic plan presented by the Roadmap Development Committee after a conditional 60-day deadline for a final document to be delivered to Ndiigbo by a special strategic planning committee at the proposed December, 2004 Igbo Summit

3. To accept the Economic Development Plan presented by the Economic Development Committee; however, the Committee would be expanded to include subject-matter experts in Igboland who would assist in the formulation of the final document to be presented for formal adoption at the proposed December, 2004 Igbo Summit.

4. That the governors of Southeast states include in their annual budgets the welfare of Nigeria-Biafra War veterans; this welfare initiative should include but not limited to the development and management of a work program for the veterans at Oji River, a monthly disability and social security income, and a comprehensive program of health rehabilitation.

5. To encourage all Igbo people abroad and at home to unite and present a common front in the intensified Igbo pursuit of the presidency of Federal Republic of Nigeria using their enormous economic endowments, geopolitical spread, and social sophistication and with renewed zeal and determination by focusing on factors that unite Ndiigbo and their Nigerian neighbors.

6. To put political pressure on the Nigerian government to address present impediments to the successful internationalization of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, and to encourage the maximum utilization of the United States Resource Center in Enugu.

7. To encourage the exploitation of condensate gas resources in Ugwuoba and other petroleum products and fossil fuels for private-sector power generation in the southeast region.

8. World Igbo Congress calls on INEC to declare the winners of the elections, including the rightful winner of the 2003 Anambra State gubernatorial elections. WIC calls on the Judiciary to rise up to its duty and to do justice accordingly, bearing in mind that Justice delayed is Justice denied.

9 The World Igbo Congress stands solidly behind MASSOB, and therefore expresses her support for the MASSOB’s non-violence approach in their activities. Continuous attacks on the members of MASSOB, and the Government’s declaration of MASSOB activities as treasonable offense is hereby condemned by World Igbo Congress. To this effect, World Igbo Congress would do whatever is necessary to protect MASSOB as long as their activities remain non-violence. We urge the government to address the issues raised by MASSOB and to ensure that no further unlawful harm comes to its members

11. The World Igbo Congress extends recognition to and solidarity with all Igbo organizations working in the interest of Ndi Igbo and supporting the struggle to level the playing field for all Nigerians.

12. Finally, the World Igbo Congress calls on Ndi Igbo in Diaspora to invest in alaigbo and be committed to the realization of a truly democratic Nigeria where economic opportunity is available to all devoid of corruption and where political will is freely and openly expressed through a political process that is transparent and fair. We invite all Nigerians to share in this vision.

13. To express gratitude to Igbo–USA, New Jersey for hosting the historic 2004 Convention, and to convene again in Los Angeles, California in 2005.

Augustine Ugo Uzodike, Esq.

Secretary General

Mz Ani in response to those who support the nigerian ambassador's speech at WIC for business-as-usual in olusegun obasanjo's nigeria.

"...All we are saying is that the chap should show results for all the high profile positions he has been holding on behalf of the Igbo...Now, how this simple demand grates your cheese is
beyond me" - Mz Ani.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Agu Nnaa,

Remember what Mz Obiozor said:

1. "Be bold and clear in support of 'President' (olusegun) obasanjo...
( To that we say pure rubbish!)

2. "No government is ready or willing to make a good deal with its enemies... (Again we say pure trash. Apparently the government's enemies are the Igbo whose states are all controlled by the party in power at the centre)

3. "Look at bright side of Nigeria's nation-building experiment,"
(We say what a load of silly crap! Same day, more rubbish)

We further say: presumably Mz Obiozor never heard of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Owerri-Onitsha road, Obuaku City, 2nd Niger Bridge, Onitsha Port, Alaoji and Oji River power plants, US Consulate in Enugu etc.

So we stand by our assertions. Mz Obiozor's speech is pure crap, a non-speech if you like. These comments are not meant to please you or Obiozor either. If you are spurred into action, so much the better. We are acutely aware that no matter how decrepit a system is, some people would benefit from it and defend it to the hilt and that is precisely what you are doing here. You can come out fighting on behalf of your friend, but you cannot squelch our right to free speech in a free world.

Next, your assertion that we hate Mz Obiozor is pointlessly risible. How
can we hate someone we have never seen or met? The chap is a public officer. O bu ya ji oke ruuru Ndiigbo, ok? All we are saying is that the chap should show results for all the high profile positions he has been holding on behalf of the Igbo, simple. If all we get from Obiozor et al is long english grammer, then the Igbo might well withdraw totally from the obasanjo regime. So until he goes beyond ogonogo oyibo, the ultimate queen's english, he will be the butt of public anger and possibly ridicle. Now, how this simple demand grates your cheese is beyond me.

You can publish the non-speech anywhere you want, but if you are his real friend, you would tell him what the public expectations of him are. Tell him also that he had better delivered while he is still in charge and not come home crying marginalisation when he is inevitably booted out, a thing that will happen at some stage courtsey of his beloved obasanjo, the arch-Igbo-hater himself.

Mz Ani

The low quality of the WIC write-up clearly suggests that WIC is Igbo second eleven. What makes one mad is that while Yoruba governors and yoruba people give unconditional support to OPC, WIC says it will only support MASSOB as long as MASSOB remains non-violent. Tufiakwa!

WIC is planning Igbo Summit for December 2004 with Ohanefulefu. What about the Igbo National Assembly?

Nwanna Dave, Which one be Igbo national Assembly now? Every one of you guys just want to start your own mini association and then make yourself the President. Join the club buddy. WIC is it. If WIC is weak, change it from the inside.
