A few months ago, BiafraNigeria's minister for the federal capital territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai el-Rufai, dared the Senate to indict him. The Senate has obliged. Rufia began hauling insults at the Senators. He called them fools and said he was accountable to Obasanjo nad not to the senators. The Senators demanded the removal of Mallam Rufai. Now, El-Rufia is begging to keep his job.

el-Rufai's problems just got worse. In the fallout to the Pentascope scandal, the once arrogant Rufai is pleading to be allowed to run for office in Nigeria. Mallam el-Rufai has

filed a suit against members of the House of Representatives challenging their decision to ban him from public office for a period of 50 years. The minister in suit No. FHC/ABJ/M/2005, instituted at the federal high court, Abuja, has in a motion ex-parte, asked for leave to....

The next one to fall will be Nuhu Ribadu, the EFCc freak. I cannot wait for the day when his crimes are exposed.

Olu,

Mannnn, I'm glad to have you back. Yours has been a voice of reason that guided me in curtailing any excesses in my prose. I hope you don't go back into to ROM but rather stay here to help us all maintain brotherly decorum.

Greg my man:

From a safe distance, I too have been admiring your writing, including the excesses you mentioned. But that's the way it is here. Apologies are rare at BNW. This place is not for the weak-minded. I have several times in the past bared my fangs when things got very hot, but also often going to the lighter side of the forum to cool off. For the past months, I had been writing some exams. So, I did not want to start or join any fights I couldn't finish.

Olu,

Hey, what can I say? It's hard to avoid vociferous repartees when one's passions are incited, but I think I can say what's on my mind with a little less rancour if I really try. Of course with some folks it's hard to do that. Anyway, I hope you're back for a while at least.

I have only this to tell you:

Beware the tongue twisters and the Biafran ventriloquists.

Olu,

Biafrans don't need to be ventriloquists, which I understand are persons who throw their voices and put words into the mouths of puppets or dummies...I can see the part about dummies talking, but the words are their own.
