I would like to remind you about the position you took in support of a thieving yoroba lady whose awusa uncle slapped the bananas out of, contrast badly to one you took when HONORABLE Emeka Ojukwu was lampooned and almost killed by obasanjo and his “nest of killers” (apologies to Wole) for daring speak the truth. I still maintain you're someone I could call a friend so please explain your outrage in support of a village thief a la the slapped yoroba lady and your anger towards someone who did not and never stole a pin from your country. You must be the only one who does not see the lack of consistency.

In a raw country as yours what happens to pickpockets or thieves? They get beat up!!! In this case, the awusa uncle of this yoroba lady kept that tradition by slapping the devil out of her. So what again is wrong here, please tell?

MeBiafran,
If i am thinking clearly, one of the reasons that you refer to Nigeria as 'kaikai' nation is the backwardness and the level of degeneration in all aspects of human existence. For a country to begin to be taken serious in the commity of nations, it should prove that it is capable of governing itself. A Senator of the Federal Republic should be above reproach in all his/her undertakings. It smirks of a terrible lapse in judgement to slap a WOMAN COLLEAGUE for any reason whatsoever. If Mrs Anisulowo had been found thieving, there are set up committees in the Assembly to deal with such. It does not matter to me whatsoever the ethnicity of the dramatis personnae, a terrible wrong was committed and i daresay I am proud of my friend, Dr. Nuhu Zagbayi and the governor of that State, Engineer Kure for showing the light in this instance. Goes to show that there is value in education afterall. Unfortunately, same cannot be said for my home state of Ekiti where the incumbent's credentials are at best, questionable.

You captured my mind with this post of yours and I in fact agree wholeheartedly with your reasoning here. My beef though is that nothing, I mean absolutely nothing works in that palmy land so what is the surprise? Had the same nonsense happened in the land you and I enjoy, we would've found it shocking since it would be a first, an aberration if you will. Your explanation of "Kai Kai" is precisely what I meant. See how easy it is when we come together to condemn undemocratic approach of the wickedest soul that ever breathed the air in that country, obasanjo of course. Instead of the bull crap I see most of the times the, we against them, which pervades in the DURTY land.

Why are the rest of nigerians enjoying the humiliation and mistreatments of the Igbo nation without much squeak? If my guess is right, the idiot, obasanjo plans to hand over the reigns of that country again to the awusa folks don’t forget that the OPC exterminated a good number of the northerners under his watch. Revenge is middle name to the northerners hopefully I’ll be around to watch the drama unfold. obasanjo undoubtedly would abandon his people to a friendly country to save his own ass. My friend this is my concern and one of the many reasons why a tested and fair system ought to have been followed.

Biafra: We Don't Need Ojukwu Again-SSS Boss.

P.M. News (Lagos)

Tony Orilade
Abuja

The Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS), Col. Kayode Are (retd), has declared that, the service no longer needs to interrogate the Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, over his perceived support for the group known as the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

Speaking yesterday at a get-together with media executives in Abuja, Kayode affirmed that "Ojukwu is not of substance to the security investigation we are conducting. We only needed him so that we can advise him to stop charlatans from using his good name wrongly. We are not after Ojukwu, those we are after know themselves." He noted that up till today, the SSS continues to protect Ojukwu, adding that "if I want Ojukwu even now, all I need to do is direct the SSS personnel attached to him to effect his arrest." Are noted that, it is the Assistant Director of SSS in Enugu State, Victor Duru, who did not handle the situation well, just as he remarked that Chief Ojukwu deliberately politicised the whole episode, with a view to giving the service a bad name.

"Ojukwu used to stay in the Presidential Suite of Bolingo Hotel, Abuja (free-of-charge) on the proprietor's bill, but because we did not want to take advantage of that, we had to pay for the same suite, he would have taken free of charge, only for him to turn the story against us, by saying we should come and pick him at the airport after asking for and getting a ticket.
"If we did that, it would have semblance of an arrest, so we told him to arrange with the hotel to pick him up at the airport on our bill. On the agreed date, he claimed that about 40 people surrounded him and advised him not to travel. Ojukwu simply politicised this matter," he stressed.

The SSS boss, however, admitted that his organisation made some mistakes regarding the Ojukwu affair, but concluded that "looking at our efforts, you wouldn't have blamed us."

How Convenient!.

Col. Kayode is full of it. This is what I call spin, his dept. blew it instead of him admitting that fact he is trying to spin it in their favor, it will not work.

The fact is that SSS and Obasanjo are a bunch of wimps who could not carry out what they planned against Ikemba Nnewi. They failed for that I say shame on them.

The reason they are now backing down is that the masses are behind General Ojukwu, willing and ready to do whatever it takes to tell the whle world what a dictator Obasanjo is.

NwaBiafra You beat me to it,

This Director General Kayode is now in a blame game mode, what happened to the former Director the other Yoroba Moron who ordered the invitation. Notice how they are using spin masters all the time. Now all of a sudden is the SSS Director in Enugu Mr Duru who misshandled it. Wasn't Mr Duru getting his orders from Abuja? Ojukw politicised it give me a break, the more this morons open their mouth the deeper they dig themselves in.

SSS aborts Ojukwu’s foreign trip

• Passport seized, released on Obasanjo’s intervention

By Chukwudi Achife,

Bureau Chief, Enugu

Operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) on Tuesday night stopped former Biafran leader Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu from travelling abroad as they seized his passport at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at the eleventh hour.

He was travelling with his wife Bianca to the United States for medical check up, and had gone through all the formalities before he was intercepted.

A surprised Ojukwu was said to have demanded an explanation for the action, but was simply told that he should go to Abuja to collect the passport.

The incident, which reportedly took place at about 12 mid night, caused a mild commotion at the airport, attracting the attention of some Igbo leaders and top government officials who tried to intervene on his behalf.

It was learnt that Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Christopher Kolade, who was alerted by some concerned indigenes, telephoned President Olusegun Obasanjo in far away Finland to inform him about the development.

The President was said to have called SSS Director General Kayode Are in Abuja and ordered that Ojukwu’s passport be released.

However, his KLM flight had left before the President’s intervention, forcing him to abort the journey and to return to his 29 Queen’s Drive residence in Ikoyi, Lagos. The SSS returned the passport to him on Wednesday morning.

National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chekwas Okorie confirmed the incident. He said he had called Are immediately he was alerted on the incident but that he was not available.

Are called him back around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday to assure him that the passport would be returned to Ojukwu, and blamed overzealous staff of the agency for the incident.

Okorie described the development as "sad and unfortunate", stressing that he had thought Ojukwu’s problems with the SSS had been amicably resolved.

"I thought we had resolved the matter cordially and amicably. The SSS should allow sleeping dogs to lie. For the agency, in spite of the subsisting court order, to go ahead and embarrass the Ikemba in this manner is most provocative", he said.

According to him, the Igbo in the U.S. and Canada have petitioned lawmakers in both countries after they were alerted through the network of the World Igbo Congress (WIC) and the U.S. branch of APGA.

Okorie, however, appealed to the Igbo, both home and abroad, to remain calm and stand down any protest they may have planned against the development. He gave the assurance that Ojukwu’s passport has been returned and that fresh arrangements are on for him to travel.

He applauded Obasanjo’s prompt intervention in the matter, but deplored the “executive lawlessness”, stressing that the executive should learn to respect court orders and the rights of citizens.

Said Okorie: "It is okay that the President intervened, he has saved the situation, but I want to advise that prevention is better than cure. The moment citizens resort to the courts to protect themselves, the executive must learn to respect the order of the court. Executive lawlessness is a bad example to citizens".

Ojukwu has recently been involved in a tussle with the SSS over his refusal to honour the agency’s verbal invitation to visit its headquarters in Abuja. He also went to court to enforce his fundamental rights against the agency. The case is scheduled for further hearing today at an Enugu High Court.

Sources close to him said he has been ill for some time and had continued to postpone his trip abroad for medical attention until his condition grew worse lately.

Obasanjo only wanted to make headlines with the intention of appearing good. With whose orders was the passport seized in the first place? So why tell us it was released because of his
intervention.

These modus operandi of these area boys in the SSS and their Agbero oga in Abuja exactly replays the Himmler and his SS troops grandiosity and ruthlessness on law abiding citizens under the cover of law enforcement.

The other day, they claimed they didn`t need ojukwu anylonger only to ambush the man on his way to medical treatment.Well,Obasanjo has scored his cheap PR goal with this one.At the expense of jeopardising Ikemba`s health.

Although I do not support any unnecessary harassment of innocent citizens who go about their business in a lawful way, but we all know that Ojukwu is a clandestine person who cannot be classified as an innocent or ordinary citizen. I guess the overzealous SSS guys at the airport just want to rattle the Ezegburugburu.

The real annoying thing is the fact that Baba Iyabo has to intervene for his passport to be returned. It shows how bad the chain of command works in the Nigerian system. I think it shouldn’t have gone to that level; once he is cleared of any security breach, his passport should have been returned to him immediately, without any outside departmental intervention.
